James Harden and his agent were probably blindsided by the Houston Rockets situation, which they thought gave Harden absolute leverage. Most people never imagined a situation where Ime Udoka would roll in, sign a contract and immediately CANCEL James.
There's a lot of guys who've been around the league who believed Udoka would have to wait years for another NBA head coaching opportunity. It looks like Ferttita has given Ime the keys, so he decided he wanted none of that smoke.

The difference between a real Superstar & a regular season player is pretty clear to see.
    Lets say, Luka & Embiid.
Luka gets better in the Playoffs, Embiid gets worse.
Luka will put up 45-14-11 on Kawhii, then blame himself if they lose.
Embiid will get cooked by Tatum & only score 19 points on crap effeciency, then blame his teammates when they lose.
When guys 6 years younger than him are already that much more mature, you can tell he just isn't built for it.

Embiid isnt in a bad situation. Hes at least the 3rd best player in the league every year. His teams have more talent than most and he gets to game sevens where he comes up short himself. Hes the guy not getting it done not his sidekicks. Not ben simmons or james harden or tobias harris. Lebron would have had a couple of those teams in the finals so dont tell me hes in a bad situation. In the last game they played embiid scored 15 points, 5 less then tobias harris and tyrese maxey. Before he goes anywhere he needs to show up before we can point any fingers elsewhere. The only bone ill throw him is the terrible coaching. Hes had two wing it guys who dont know x's and o's from assholes. Ill give him that.

Blazer rebuilt already around Dame. they sent good pieces away instead of building upon and now they are rebuilding again.. that shows how little respect they have for the staple of their franchise . Dame's royalty is what makes the franchise think they can disrespect him like that. they know they aint winning shit for the next 4 years
    - OH Dame gonna win with the Heat.
    - Fuck that if we aint winning , we aint helping him achieve his dream.
-it's Miami or bust! (if a loyal player say he is tired of the BS and want a trade that already means The blazers are not thrust worthy).
The blazers is not a winning team (Dame is a living proof of it). And the GM is a joke (he will be remembered for lying to the media and to Dame no Matter what happens)
Dame is a millionaire already. He can retire a millionaire sitting on the bench anyways and spending time with his family. That's better quality time then waste another year with the blazer or any other team that are not the Heat.

They have to trade Maxey, Embiid will leave if the Sixers continue to lose, so they have to keep him content now. They should’ve traded him for a legit all star.
If Maxey becomes an all star next season and becomes what people expect of him, he will prove me wrong but until that happens I say trade him for a great player. Heck, if they can get Lillard pull that trade without thinking about it.
Even if Embiid doesn’t leave, I don’t believe he will keep being a top player by the time Maxey is an all star, he’s injury prone and story shows injury prone big men don’t last long in the league. You have to get value out of him now, when you can.

People think Portland not building a contender around Dame means he gets what he wants, but why isn’t Dame accountable in them winning a chip, and why are we pretending building a championship roster is easy work? Player empowerment era has taught players to whine and then they get what they want, it’s trash.

@@rumpy8395 @nemohoes5923 oh yeah of course they owe him nothing for the absolute roster building masterclass they put on for him. Such as trading CJ McCollum for Josh Hart who is not on the team anymore (so basically Kris Murray) and a first round pick that did not even convey. Or like keeping the no. 3 pick when everybody and their pet thought that pick was being shipped somewhere else and drafting Lillard’s replacement. Or like shedding cap space just to use it on 160 mil for Jerami Grant. Or not trading Anfernee Simons and Shaedon Sharpe for someone established. Yes, Dame was loyal and then switched up, but Portland never deserved his loyalty in the first place and need to realize that if they want to better their franchise. They still have expressed no loyalty to him throughout this entire situation. Dame realized that he wasn’t getting out what he was giving. And that’s what all their current young guys plus any future draft picks will realize if they decide to trade Dame anywhere other than Miami. That this organization is completely disloyal and dysfunctional. If Kevin Durant last offseason, who was at an older age, also did not have a no-trade clause, was making honestly less money than he should have, and was owed nothing from the Nets was granted his wish to be traded to the Suns, even if it took months, than Lillard will get his wish at some point and there is nothing anybody can do about it.
