    I have an 18 Fatbob in Bonneville white. The 2 best upgrades and there are many was a set of 1.5 inch risers from CJ motorsports and a new rear brake lever the stock one cramped my calf and tweaked my knee on rides longer than an hour. I replaced the tires at 5500 miles with metzler cruise techs another money well spent item. My pegs began dragging with the added confidence of the tires.

    My favourite Harley Davidson to look at and to ride. Such a great bike

    Great Muscle bike, A few years ago I got the Fat Boy instead and regretted it, I have short legs and the forward controls on the Fat Boy were too much of a stretch for me, for that reason all my Harley's have been Mid control since

      I didn’t like the fatboy for the same reason. My short legs struggled

    Hi, great video. I'm 1.67. Would it be reliable or comfortable for my height?

    • @GillyBikes
      @GillyBikes  8 месяцев назад +2

      I’m 5ft 8 which I think translates to about 172 so not much difference

      @@GillyBikes My neighbor has a Fat Boy and it is very heavy, weighing more than 300kg I think. When I ride her I almost disappear. hahahaha. My foot touches the ground entirely, but I don't feel safe. It seems to me that the Fat Bob is more fun and easier. Thank you for your attention.

      @GillyBikes  8 месяцев назад +2

      Definitely. I feel the same on the fatboy. The fat bob and sport glide are so much better for anyone around our height.

    Great review. Really appreciate the details base on height and comfort for a rider. I’m 5ft 6 and love this bike but I’m more practical and want a bike for comfort and enjoyment instead of trying to look cool on the road. I’m still looking for the Harley that’s right for me. (1st time owner soon)

      You should look no further than the sport glide then. I absolutely love that bike.

    Have you tried a Sportster S and if so, how do they compare?

    • @GillyBikes
      @GillyBikes  Год назад +1

      I did try the Sportster s when it first came out. This is much, much better. But that’s why it cost quite a bit more.

    The first thing i did was change the exhaust over to a freedom plus upgraded air cleaner

    • @GillyBikes
      @GillyBikes  11 месяцев назад

      Good choice. They definitely need to have a new exhaust to sound like a Harley should.

    First thing I’d get rid of are those drag bars and mid controls,replacing them with a set of mid controls and Harley chisel handlebars. The tank is too small- it should have a 5-6 gallon tank. I’d add a quarter fairing. If I could I’d add a clock from a Sportster S.

    should i get this one or bmw r18?

    • @GillyBikes
      @GillyBikes  9 месяцев назад

      Now that is a choice only you can make. All down to personal preference. I think this one looks and sounds better than the R18 but I’m sure there are people that would disagree with me. Which did you like the most?

    If you think this bike is good try riding the fatboy

    • @GillyBikes
      @GillyBikes  10 месяцев назад +1

      I’ve tried one but it was before I started to review bikes. I remember it being ok but I didn’t love it like I did with the sport glide and the fat bob. I will have to take one out again and check though because I do love the looks of the fatboy.
