For anyone reading this: I know that dog training can be difficult sometimes, but you're doing great. Keep up the good work, and your dog (and your own sanity) will thank you for it! ❤️💕

Great video! Well said and your right Nutrition is so overlooked. Oftentimes to the point that some people think you’re crazy for suggesting it. I once had a foster Pomeranian with severe separation anxiety but switched to raw food along with 2mile walks and obedience training completely transformed him within months. When he got adopted I told his new owner she should continue his raw diet but she stopped and called 3 months later distraught crying saying she needed to give him back because she was ruining him. I consoled her and sent her links to the raw food, instructed her how to use the ecollar that I had also used to train him. She did all of the things I recommended and she now competes him in agility.

I always get the old school guys in the comments letting me know I'm a Kook for suggesting that nutrition could play a roll in unwanted behaviours lol. Sometimes raw diets can backfire if the gut is off but for most dogs they can handle additions to their diet and eventually transition :) Thanks for watching and engaging!

Love this video thank you so much for posting!!! The drug addiction analogy is brilliant and totally makes sense with how things have gone with my dog Nova Scotia!!! First it was people walking dogs now it’s progressed to just people walking, more and more things trigger her and that totally explains it! Also, I had a feeling you were Canadian before you mentioned it! ❤

That dog is very reactive indeed 😂 and yes, most reactive dogs are just frustrated because they "want to say hello" and the owner does either nothing or even reinforces it. Then it increases the behaviour as the dog gets to why he was screaming and sometimes not. Others are fear based and owners just let the dog alone with it's fear. My white GSD would be highly reactive if in the wrong hands as he would like to play with all dogs. It was quite the work to get impulse control into him and only meet other dogs if he is calm. Would've been easier if e-collars and prongs weren't forbidden here. I would use them

ah I'm sorry to hear that you are limited on tools but are finding success. Banning tools solves nothing

You speak my language, there is no way positive only methods work with dogs....as with people u need corrections albeit mild or stern to teach lifes lessons...its all about consequence of actions to be able to produce balanced well rounded animals or humans😊....good video.

I think if any one has a problem with my comment id like to see them train an unruly headstrong 74kg 2 yr old African mastiff with a handful of treats an gentle finger wagg lol........i dont think so.....an its those people who get innocent dogs who just ned a firm hand put to sleep.
