I’m an journalism student attending Full Sail University. Just started back doing Voiceover work at home and I want to do Notary as well. This is sooooo awesome! I just researched and found out my state Virginia offers remote Notary allows its commissioned notaries to perform electronic notarizations or remote notarizations with the DocVerify e-Notary platform, which started in 2007. I love your channel and this product seems great for someone who doesn't want any updront cost BUT this will end up costing wayyy more than than the other services for an independent. Where the other service providers have a yearly fee this company charges per transaction. So you'll end up paying them 2- 3 times as much as the other companies charge per year by the time you reach the 50 transaction marker and well over 2K by the time you get to 100 transactions. Thats a lot.
You're right, this platform is not right for everyone! However, for those notaries who are just getting into RON this is PERFECT!! They can test out adding RON to their business with no financial obligation to the platform! They are not required to only work on this platform, and once they get their RON business up and running they may make the choice to switch to another platform with annual fees that may cost them less in the long run, and that's just fine! For a lot of people not having any upfront or ongoing out of pocket costs, having someone else collect payments, and having a hybrid platform that they can use for their own clients AND also have clients sent to them is exactly what they want and need! One size does not fit all, that's why it's great to have options! This is just another option for people who are interested in RON! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

This is excellent. I didn't even think about this. Then looked it up and Colorado passed emergency legislation due to COVID. We can RON temporarily until 12/31/20. Then in 2021 the law becomes permanent.

I enjoyed your video, you are knowledgeable, concise and you made it interesting to watch; but, even though it is an advantage not to have to pay any fees upfront, the company is asking for the notary to bring the first 100 clients, before we get assigned any clients directly from One Notary. At this initial stage we will be paid $15 per notarization but One Notary will charge $31 to my first 100 clients. I do understand that the advantages of the platform have a price, but it looks to me that for those first 100 clients x $16 I will be paying $1,600 to One Notary, which is a lot more than the other platforms you mentioned on this video, and then after that, the company will pay me $6 per notarization and will keep $25 for when they provide the clients. Conclusion: I will do my numbers with the other companies. You might still be the best option, but I don’t know yet.

I wasn't able to find much, but I took the test using the material on the National Notary Association's site and I passed! ***YAAAAYYY***... So, I watched your video and I was going to sign up to the site mentioned here, "Onenotary.com." Well, I was signing up and I read the terms and agreement and found the following paragraph, "You, as the Platform’s User, are either a Texas online notary public (“Online Notary”), or an individual other than an Online Notary (“Signer”). You may use the Platform only in connection with an online notarization. You must be over 18 to use the Platform." So, my question is, being a Jerseyite, am I allowed to create an account with "Onenotary.com?"
Hi! OneNotary is not available for New Jersey online notaries YET! But they are quickly expanding into every state that has permanent RON legislation. When you sign up you will be notified when they are available in your state!

I just subscribed to your channel. Im a notary for Maryland state. They do allow online notary but they have criteria that must be met by the company. So made we can network together in the future. Im currently looking into doing immigration specialist and currently started getting interested in being a loan signer. For the state of Maryland you need a license. My goal is to do all states eventually.

Im interested in Ron training I've been a notary for 30 yrs in texas and would like to do remote online and know how to get my digital certificate and seal this is awsome!!!
I became a notary as it was requirement for my employer for a very short time. After it was no long a requirement I decided to continue recording my commission anyways. I've taken a course for traveling signing agents but got cold feet because I made a mistake on a car title and it scared me. So I rarely notarize anything. I am ready to face my fears :). How can I start small or simple so that I gain the confidence I need?

I have a question regarding the Digital stamp. I ordered mine today. I am also in Texas but the digital stamp they provided is circular as opposed to rectangular. I am fairly certain it is just as legal but wanted to check.

There Basic account is still free with no upfront costs. They have added a Professional level with more perks for $25 month. Very informative. I have a few questions. Ive paid for and received my digital certificate and eSeal though the NNA. Is your platform compatible with them? Is your platform compatible with Virginia's guidelines. Will you expand to accept more than a driver's license, like a passport, and I saw you mention that you'll create a pricing package for loan signings...any update to when that will happen? Last question, if signer has more than 1 document that requires a seal, what is the cut yhe RON will get? I see the signer pays an additional $6 per additional stamp. That you again for sharing this information. And, I love your hair!

I only know about the US - you have to be a US citizen and a resident of the state where you will be commissioned as an online notary. And you have to be physically located in that state when you perform online notarizations. A digital certificate basically proves that you are you! There is ALWAYS a market for GOOD notaries public and GOOD signing agents! Are people buying homes in your area? Are people selling homes in your area? Are people refinancing homes in your area? Are people getting documents notarized in your area? If the answer to any of those questions is "yes" then there is a market in your area! With that being said, there is no quick and easy way to "look and see" if there is a market. You can look on websites such as notarycafe.com to see if there are other signing agents in your area but that doesn't really tell you if they are good or bad or how much or how little work they do! I'm in Colorado and we have temporary permission to do remote online notarizations. So that means I can't use OneNotary? That confuses me, because I think I can use DocVerify. Also, the rule for remote notaries in Colorado is that both the notary and the signer have to be physically located in Colorado at the time of the notarization. That would seem to put a pretty big limit on the number of remote notarizations I can perform. But at the same time, that makes OneNotary more attractive than other platforms since I'm not paying a monthly fee. RON is so confusing sometimes!

At best I’ve heard it cost 600 to 1000 to be a notary , what would be the investment all together to add tour training to my start up cost. Knowing you yourself cannot certify me. I just researched and found out my state Virginia offers remote Notary allows its commissioned notaries to perform electronic notarizations or remote notarizations with the DocVerify e-Notary platform, which started in 2007. I love your channel and this product seems great for someone who doesn't want any updront cost BUT this will end up costing wayyy more than than the other services for an independent. Where the other service providers have a yearly fee this company charges per transaction. So you'll end up paying them 2- 3 times as much as the other companies charge per year by the time you reach the 50 transaction marker and well over 2K by the time you get to 100 transactions. Thats a lot.
You're right, this platform is not right for everyone! However, for those notaries who are just getting into RON this is PERFECT!! They can test out adding RON to their business with no financial obligation to the platform! They are not required to only work on this platform, and once they get their RON business up and running they may make the choice to switch to another platform with annual fees that may cost them less in the long run, and that's just fine!
For a lot of people not having any upfront or ongoing out of pocket costs, having someone else collect payments, and having a hybrid platform that they can use for their own clients AND also have clients sent to them is exactly what they want and need! One size does not fit all, that's why it's great to have options! This is just another option for people who are interested in RON! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

This is excellent. I didn't even think about this. Then looked it up and Colorado passed emergency legislation due to COVID. We can RON temporarily until 12/31/20. Then in 2021 the law becomes permanent.

I enjoyed your video, you are knowledgeable, concise and you made it interesting to watch; but, even though it is an advantage not to have to pay any fees upfront, the company is asking for the notary to bring the first 100 clients, before we get assigned any clients directly from One Notary. At this initial stage we will be paid $15 per notarization but One Notary will charge $31 to my first 100 clients. I do understand that the advantages of the platform have a price, but it looks to me that for those first 100 clients x $16 I will be paying $1,600 to One Notary, which is a lot more than the other platforms you mentioned on this video, and then after that, the company will pay me $6 per notarization and will keep $25 for when they provide the clients. Conclusion: I will do my numbers with the other companies. You might still be the best option, but I don’t know yet.

I wasn't able to find much, but I took the test using the material on the National Notary Association's site and I passed! ***YAAAAYYY***... So, I watched your video and I was going to sign up to the site mentioned here, "Onenotary.com." Well, I was signing up and I read the terms and agreement and found the following paragraph, "You, as the Platform’s User, are either a Texas online notary public (“Online Notary”), or an individual other than an Online Notary (“Signer”). You may use the Platform only in connection with an online notarization. You must be over 18 to use the Platform."
So, my question is, being a Jerseyite, am I allowed to create an account with "Onenotary.com?"
Hi! OneNotary is not available for New Jersey online notaries YET! But they are quickly expanding into every state that has permanent RON legislation. When you sign up you will be notified when they are available in your state!

I became a notary as it was requirement for my employer for a very short time. After it was no long a requirement I decided to continue recording my commission anyways. I've taken a course for traveling signing agents but got cold feet because I made a mistake on a car title and it scared me. So I rarely notarize anything. I am ready to face my fears :). I have a question regarding the Digital stamp. I ordered mine today. I am also in Texas but the digital stamp they provided is circular as opposed to rectangular. I am fairly certain it is just as legal but wanted to check.
Check the TX SOS website for the rules regarding the notary stamp. As long as your digital stamp meets those requirements you'll be fine!

There Basic account is still free with no upfront costs. They have added a Professional level with more perks for $25 month. If you choose the Basic account there are still not up front out of pocket costs! They have always had a service cost per notarization because there is a cost to create and run a platform! NO COMPANY is going to provide you with an online platform without some sort of compensation for the costs that they have incurred to create and run the platform.

Very informative. I have a few questions. Ive paid for and received my digital certificate and eSeal though the NNA. Is your platform compatible with them? Is your platform compatible with Virginia's guidelines. Will you expand to accept more than a driver's license, like a passport, and I saw you mention that you'll create a pricing package for loan signings...any update to when that will happen? Last question, if signer has more than 1 document that requires a seal, what is the cut yhe RON will get? I see the signer pays an additional $6 per additional stamp. That you again for sharing this information. And, I love your hair!

I only know about the US - you have to be a US citizen and a resident of the state where you will be commissioned as an online notary. And you have to be physically located in that state when you perform online notarizations.

There is ALWAYS a market for GOOD notaries public and GOOD signing agents! Are people buying homes in your area? Are people selling homes in your area? Are people refinancing homes in your area? Are people getting documents notarized in your area? If the answer to any of those questions is "yes" then there is a market in your area!
With that being said, there is no quick and easy way to "look and see" if there is a market. You can look on websites such as notarycafe.com to see if there are other signing agents in your area but that doesn't really tell you if they are good or bad or how much or how little work they do!

I'm in Colorado and we have temporary permission to do remote online notarizations. So that means I can't use OneNotary? That confuses me, because I think I can use DocVerify. Also, the rule for remote notaries in Colorado is that both the notary and the signer have to be physically located in Colorado at the time of the notarization. That would seem to put a pretty big limit on the number of remote notarizations I can perform. But at the same time, that makes OneNotary more attractive than other platforms since I'm not paying a monthly fee. RON is so confusing sometimes!
OneNotary is only rolling out to states with permanent RON legislation.

At best I’ve heard it cost 600 to 1000 to be a notary , what would be the investment all together to add tour training to my start up cost. Knowing you yourself cannot certify me. I suppose the benefit from your course pertains to being more profitable and perhaps your traction efforts are targeted towards those who have been certified and looking for ways to earn on a top level right?
