You are a savior...you cut my work by 60%....manuals are manuals, but an actual display of the install is worth countless hours of...how do this work ...don't mind install manuals....but your video was my answer to many questions.....thanks so much for your devotion to "us" the general population
Hey man thank you so much for the video I had never put a garage door and did not want to pay what they wanted to charge me it was crazy. After watching your video two times lol I had no problem at all the way you explain everything was great thank you so much be safe
Great video, thanks so much! Far and away the most helpful video I've run across on this. It's been decades since I installed an overhead door so I was looking for some pointers to get reacquainted with the process. This made the job so much easier..... far more help than the printed instructions! Well done sir!
They should be plumb left and right, as you’re facing the opening. But the bottom of the track will sit closer to the wall than the top. This necessary so it can move away as it open. Adjust the door to sit snug against the frame and you should be good.
I’m jealous you did this by yourself and made it looks like nothing. I’m debating with myself if I should wait a year when I’ll be to afford to pay someone or take the chance and do it myself… I honestly don’t know what to do right now.
You are correct Brandon. That op bracket is not flat so the hinge is sitting odd laying on top like that. Plus it is now forcing the section away and putting stress on the hinge.
@@Doormanswift either your a door tech or have critical thinking/logic skills. I’m not too concerned about being right as I know what’s correct but a RUclips video teaching incorrectly is my concern. Aside from the one mistake, the video creature did a decent job.
@@Fsxtbi_guy shouldn’t the hinge mounting flush to the two surfaces it’s designed to pivot be important? Before coming off as ignorant… you could always do a google search of operator bracket installation images and there are multiple designs, ones with offsets as well that may tickle your fancy as it allows for the omb to sit flush on the door, as well as ON TOP of the hinge.
Great video. I am sure you saved lots of money for DIY-ers (like me). A big THANKS!
The best DIY garage door replacement video I’ve come across. Thank you.

Awesome video. Great explanation. Thank you.
The best video thanks.
Appreciate this, Thank you!!
For a torsion door, you would just open the door, use vice grips to keep the door open, cut the cables, and let the door back down.
Thanks for making this video!!!!

Operator bracket goes on top of the hinge.
No, it doesn’t. With that hinge it wouldn’t mount flush on top.

A bit too much tension!
The guy hides all the critical points of the institution!
Very noisy though. There's doors much quieter.
Some lubricant on the rollers and tracks will make it quiet.
Don’t be such a bitch
