@@phoenixmaiika I turned post notifications on, but it didn't send the email to my sub box. Kinda odd, but I'm still glad I decided to check it out just in case I missed it.
@@phoenixmaiika I feel like now I know why that pause in time was so significant to Sakuya. It showed him everyone's motivations for fighting the Shadows and really made him reconsider his own response of not caring about the things that happen around him. I think this is why I like P3WM compared to the regular game. MC already has a set personality (unlike silent protagonist) but goes through character development thanks to the other main characters.
@@james.ken_dama167 I feel like also in the game you don't really experience the "I don't care about anything & anyone" MC, cause you play as him and naturally you project yourself onto him + you don't want to screw up Social Links, cause there's only so many days of gameplay (& you simply like these characters xD), so you don't pick the "I don't care" options, whereas in P3WM and in anime movies they really could put his "dou demo ii" personality to the front :)
Thanks a lot for the great translation. I will make sure to leave something for your big effort on ko-fi a bit later. The main area you could improve imo is the visual quality: The low resolution (and also low bitrate, or was that just upscaling artefacts?) made it very blurry and blocky and it was sometimes a bit hard to see what exactly happened. Reading subtitles costs concentration which I couldn't spend on looking at the image more closely. I don't know the quality of the source material but I recommend rendering in the same resolution and with a comparable bitrate. And if it really had such a low resolution, then doubling/trippling (always whole numbers!) might help by making the font sharper and thus easier to read. The big effort is in the translation so that would basically be a free way to improve the overall quality. The rendering/uploading will take longer, but you can just let your PC do that while you sleep or work at $dayjob. The subtitle functionality of RUclips might also be an option? It gives high quality text independent of the underlying video (and would also save you the rendering work).
@@phoenixmaiika I think the editing program doesn't really matter. Putting text onto of a video is something I would expect from even the most basic programs. There also shouldn't be a big difference in quality if you use the same settings, so let's discuss these. Resolution is the number of pixels the resulting image has. Every pixel is a square filled with a single color so more pixels means more details can be shown. There are 3 relevant resolutions: 1. Resolution of the source video (=what you get from somewhere and before you do anything). 2. Resolution of the output video (=what you upload to RUclips). 3. Resolution of the monitor. If two resolutions match then the image can simply be copied over. If the output resolution is lower than the input, then it has to discard information (=worse quality). If the output resolution is higher, then it needs to fill the additional pixels with something. There are various approaches for that (duplicating one of the neighbors, taking the average of all neighbors, much more complex options). Scaling twice generally produces a worse result than scaling just once, so using the same resolution for uploading to RUclips as the input has would be preferable. But a higher resolution gives you better quality in the text so that might be worth it if the input resolution is too low. If you decide to scale before uploading, then you should probably prefer an integer multiple of the input resolution (and definitely not lower) or one of the common monitor resolutions (to reduce the chance of scaling on that end). Bitrate: There is no way to save the exact value of every single pixel so there is lossy compression. A higher bitrate gives you bigger files, but they contain more information to produce a result that's closer to the original. If the bitrate is too low, then you get a blurry/blocky image. Scenes with a lot of movment and/or with a low contrast (like dark scenes) suffer the most from low bitrate imo. Set it as high as possible. The only downsides are bigger files and longer rendering/upload times. RUclips has some recommendations but it will also accept higher bitrates (but might reduce it if it thinks it is too high). x264 CPU preset (if you don't use your GPU for rendering): Slower is obviously slower but it tends to give smaller files and/or better quality. This is important for livestreaming where you need to send your video out at the same speed as it is recorded but in your case, it is mostly a matter of how much time you are willing to throw at it. You didn't say which program you use and more importantly, I don't know anything about the original video you used so I can't give you any specific recommendations. I would start by checking that the resolution and bitrate aren't lower than the source video, which would be an annoying mistake but at least easy to fix. But if the quality of the original is already like this, then you can't do anything about it (besides finding a better version, if there is any). You have a good point about flagging/copyright claims. I don't think it really makes a difference for the automated flagging system, but it could influence the decision of humans. There is always a risk so do what you feel is right.
Im confused.....why did it end right after getting Fuuka? I'm also a little salty that they didn't do a cool triumphant sudden "wild card use" for the big emperor/empress battle but thats a different complaint.
