Thank god i won my first game in this tavern brawl so i dont have to face this shit
lol same
My opponent conceded right after mulligan FeelsGoodMan
I actually had 3 people concede to me. Then I won most of my other brawls just with a good deck without fancy gimmicks like secret paladin or astral com druid.
I made an anti-secret paladin deck with Flare and Eater or Secrets. On turn seven after one of my opponents played MC, I dropped Eater and killed off MC with Deadly Shot. Pretty good!
+Mugsi how is secret pally good anyway, im sticking with my trusty midrange paladin. havent lost so far
"Everyone is going to be using this deck if they aren't using Secret Paladin"
*Deck uses 20K dust at least*
Riiiiiiight....
you can make a low cost version, still strong
7:14
so fast
skipperino fasterino
how?
Dude, I love you. Why are giving me my skipperino button every video?
what a legend AngelThump
Why was every single clip labelled Counter-Face?
Maybe something got fucked up in the editing.
Lol.. didn't even notice that.
Kripp fucking hates face decks... he can't hide the salt every time he loses to a face deck lol
well Zak. everybody does
because everyfuckingone is playing cancer shit in hearthstone right now. Hence every single fucking game you play is counter-face anyway.
this video made me laugh a lot, i had fun watching it ! i was like a kid with stars instead of eyes *-*
You're so cute
+Jordan Low creeper alert!
How old are you?i like boys
im 15 :3
+the legend never dies you're cuter.
My favorite deck is Renounce Darkness with full class card haha
Haha
haha
Haha

When's the boogeymonster brawl coming to our screens? Make it happen blizzard!
:D
that would be really cool actually
I guess maybe something like "whenever a minion attacks and kills a minion, it gains +2/+2"?
Finally got a legendary after a REALLY long time and it was Boogey Monster. Feels Bad Man
I got Illidan. Feelsokayman?
Hey, these draws are preeetty good!
A creative Kripperino!
Indeed
ey b0ss
Hey! That's pretty good!
What? Are you fuking gay?
I've played 20+ games, haven't seen a single secret pally or astral druid. But now I will. thanks krippariono.
feels good that I figured out that cancer secret pally 1 hour after playing this brawl. out of 20 games lost 1, and it was to a druid and me not drawing muster at turn 3
Kripp: "Wow, this guy has the perfect draws... a 1 mana at turn 1, a 2 mana at turn 2, a 3 mana at turn 3... I just concede"
I made an anything can happen deck. 1-4 mana cards are only the combo murlocs and 10 only anyfing. Mulligin the other murlocs= works good
Btw. nice thumbnail
One interesting one I saw was a Druid that Mana Growth + Grove Tender for a +2 Mana while giving your opponent +1.
I saw it and thought it could work very well with an inspire-heavy deck since you're drawing a 4 cost card on turn 4 but have 6 mana to use.
So you can use your hero power every turn with the card that you immediately drew.
you named every clip counter-face
most*
You know Kripp is out of ideas when he starts naming all of his clips "counter-face"
How you beat Astral communion deck:
1. Play mage
2. Play counterspell
3. Win
SceneTurkey kripp plays. Coin. For the counterspell. And kripp wins
what if kripp goes first?
Thank you kripp for tuning the astral deck for this brawl. I was having difficulty coming up with the best opener
Reno was crazy here, since you're guaranteed to draw him and you can have two of some cards if they're the only card of that cost.
for my deck, i put all the 0 mana minions, deathrattle curve minions huge toad, spawn of n'zoth, piloted, belcher, carine OR sylvanis, then on 7 bog creeper, 8 kelthuzad OR call of wild, 9 king krush and turn 10 you drop n'zoth and win (that is, if you didn't win at turn 9 from king krush). Hunter deck.
Starting hand you generally want 0 mana minions, fill in the deck with a bunch of 1 mana minions, or other good deathrattles if you have them. 2 of each deathrattle card to reduce the chance of you getting a shitty 1 drop
13 wins 1 loss so far.
+Da Obese Stalker "all the 0-cost cards"
made secret pala with KT, every single game i played (6) the enemy conceded turn 8
I made a c'thun druid deck which has versatile 1-drops flooding that mana crystal, and then the curve is so strong after always playing the 2/3 +2 to c'thun and 2/1 +2 to c'thun that you ALWAYS spit out the 10-attack-benefiting c'thun cards. (4 mana 4/10, 7 mana 8/12, etc.) Works very well, and farming wins is easy! Big fan of this brawl and the varying possible decks!
What works REALLY well in this deck is a Naga Sea Witch. Since you usually can either draw twice off the acolyte, or draw once with acolyte and once with the lock hero power, besides dropping a big dude on turn 4, you can then drop both the sea witch and another big dude on turn 5.
I love the way Kripp is uploading. A short video, and a long video. It fits schedules so well if you're in need of the Kripp. so gud top Kripp.
"Somebody's a little unhappy." I don't think I've ever heard Kripp acknowledge the person he's playing against. Acknowledgerino Kripperino
Like your content Kripp, keep it up man & thanks a lot!
(BTW - I think this deck loses against Trump's "Blood of the Ancients" Rogue deck: Turn 3 Brann into coin/counterfeit/prep + Conceal then Turn 4 Barnes for 30/30 Ancient One - I beat every single deck without an answer for it on turn 4)
0:04 Watch Kripp fuckers.
Everybody is forgetting you :(
yessss
Cause he's useless and irrelevant.
Kripp I know you love evolve - I had tons of fun games with it in a c'thun deck where I would put out twin emperor vek'lor and evolve. I even got a triple evolve in that was awesome!
Kripp why name all the matches counter-face?
I can't believe people play aggro shaman and zoo even on Tavern Brawl
I can't believe people play aggro and zoo at all
they're all about hitting that face... just go play boxing for God sake and leave HS alone!
I enjoy playing aggro decks :)
This entire tavern brawl is based on making those two decks more OP, thats why im not playing it this week
This is late, but I played a dragon priest deck specifically targeted at beating Secret paladin at every drop, to moderate success (lightbomb, entomb, PWD, etc.). For my astral communion deck, I played Nourish for 3 cards on turn 5 every time, and reno for a reset (with only singles obv).
Thanks for the deck idea! Got me my pack, since this week's brawl I'm not really in the mood to think for myself...
Hey "Kripp!" It's me -- Rob from the Romanian sausage truck. I haven't seen you come by in a while! My friend told me you were a famous gamer, so I searched for you online. I honestly had no idea! Thanks for the shout-out. Keep rocking, and come by for a sausage if you have the chance. I'd love to see you again...
Only perfect draw is Magma Rager... Amirite? Speaking of which, where is that guy? He's late for work, again!
Well... That's why Flamewaker is TB champ 2015-2016. STEP IT UP, MAGMA!
i have been having some success with a Reno Jackson deck. I am surprised that there are not many N'zoth or Yogg'Saran though, if there are u haven't scene one yet.
I've started playing this game today and now while im watching this i dont know what the fuck is going on lmao
when you get a hero to lvl 20 you unlock tavern brawl, which has special rules as a fun game mode, the rules change every week
lmao i imagine for a new player this might seem batshit crazy.
It is batshit crazy! ;)
The most fun I had in this brawl was with a Renounce Darkness Warlock (I even played against another Renounce Darkness deck) and Joust Holy Wrath Paladin.
A slight variation to this would be to have any way to have a lot of minions out on the board by turn 3, then use Pilfered Power. :3
+Kripparrian, can't you run crazed alchemist to counter a turn 2 doomsayer?
I remember last time this brawl happened, the astral communion decks got destroyed by mage decks with counterspell on turn three. Did no one attempt that this time around?
Should arcane explosion actually be good against the zoo locks?
i would watch clips from this tavern brawl for ever
Someone make a counter-facerino kripperino pls
acolyte of PLAIN sounds like a cool card Kripp what does it do again?
do they still make new brawls. or just recycle the old ones?
why dont you have a nourish in too? that way after astral you draw it on turn 5 to draw 3.
I fuckin love this tavern brawl. Sooo many people just don't understand the premise and concede by turn 5.
I think you should add a Nourish, so the turn after Astral Communion, you can replenish your hand.
I don't know, I was kicking some ass with dragon priest. It was a struggle for the most part against druid, but it did really well against everything else I saw.
The meta for the tavern brawl has gone anti druid, so I swapped out 1 and 2 drops for dragoon egg lance carrier, and traded a bunch of throw away big minions for taunters.
. It's been doing quite well.
is kripp now married. check the ring
i guess he was married long ago
Thats just his swag ring he won in a play machine for 2$
First time I see it
he is Gollum
Check out his video called "Kripp's Private Life", he explains the ring there.
I beat Communion Druid with Renounce Warlock this brawl. Best Renounce ever. Also Shadow Word: Pain is invented so Doomsayer can certainly be killed.
As well as the mad doctor thing that swaps the stats
+John Kay crazed alchemist
I had my fun with a alarm-o-bot Shaman!
1) Zombie Chow
2)Nerv-O-Tron
3)Alarm-o-bot
4)Windspeaker
The Rest is Lategame Stuff
Works in ~60% of the time
why is everything named counter face??
why doesnt kripp use sludge belcher instewad of phsyotog?
Renounce darkness is perfect with this tavern brawl. just have one 2 cost card and wait til the second turn. use all of the warlock cards.
I could watch clips of the astral communion deck in this mode for hours..
Yeah... WE WANT MORE
I started winning a lot when I put _Arch-Thief Rafaam_ in the deck.
Most games after that finished with a *17*/18 _Rafaam_ in the table.
Counter-face
KRIPP IS SO LUCKY ALWAYS DRAWS THE PERFECT CARDS TO DROP #alwayslucky kappapride
playing a reno c'thun rogue. haven't lost to your astral druid yet. faced it 3 or 4 times in about an hour.
i lose to hunters though. the pressure is unreal. lol
How to beat this deck EVERY TIME.
Mage Deck list:
Ice Lance
Frostbolt
Counterspell
Fireball
Fel Reaver
Reckless Rocketeer
Whatever you want that is above 7 mana, it doesn't matter.
Turn 1) He goes first, plays Finley
You save Ice Lance
Turn 2) He plays Doomsayer
You save Frostbolt
Turn 3) He plays Acolyte
You play Counterspell
Turn 4) He tries to Astral and fails, at this point he may concede.
If not, you Fireball his face.
Turn 5) He has to Hero Power, lets assume he picked armor. He's now at 24 hp 2 armor.
You play Fel Reaver.
Turn 6) He armors up again, 24 hp 4 armor
Reckless Rocketeer and Fel Reaver to the face. He's at 15 hp
Turn 7) He finally gets to play his Dr. Boom, otherwise he will hero power.
Rocketeer and Fel Reaver to the face. Frostbolt + Icelance + Ping = Lethal
Assuming he chooses a hero power that he can attack with, he may kill the Rocketeer using his face, which in the end will kill him one turn sooner. Going second basically plays out exactly the same way, you never need to use the coin. Guaranteed win for extremely cheap dust cost. Obviously it sucks everywhere else, but good for troll sniping the Kripp one day when this brawl is inevitably revisited.
Can i borrow your deck kirpp? im just missing 17 cards most of them are legendaries. I love these tavern brawls which favors players with all the cards. Genius concept
Deathrattle rouge is also very good since you just play a 1 drop then the egg that gives you a 4/4 when it dies and on turn three you play your unearthed raptor and proceed to win.
Why Volcanic Lumberer instead of Ironbark Protector?
I played a hunter deck that did extremely well for me.
(1) 2x Zombie Chow
(2) 2x Flame Juggler
(3) 2x Argent Horserider
(4) 2x Piloted Shredder
(5) 2x Sludge Belcher
(6) 2x Savannah Highmane
(6) 1x Sylvanas
(7) 2x Fen Creeper
(7) 1x Br. Doom
(8) 2x Call of the Balance
(10) 1x N'Zoth
0 and 9 were dump slots.
The idea is that the early curve is pretty much unbeatable, which lets you set up for your call of the balance turns. Even if they survive call, N'Zoth will come by and ruin everything.
Playing first, I wanted 0 mana minions and legendaries.
This deck did quite well going second as coin sets up some pretty ridiculous turns.
e.g.
Highmane -> Coin + Call -> Call
Coin + Highmane -> Highmane -> Br. Doom -> Call
Getting the double call led to a concede at least 80% of the time.
Honestly though, I think this might just have been the poor man's Secret Paladin. Which I didn't have the cards for.
Something like...
2x Shielded Minibot (maybe replace with crazed alchemist to beat out doomsayers?)
2x Muster for Battle
2x Piloted Shredder
2x Sludge Belcher
2x Mysterious Challenger
1x Br. Doom
1x Tirion Fordring
1x N'zoth
0, 1 and 9 are dump slots, and you might as well throw in all the secrets you can, I guess.
added all the zero mana cost cards to fill up the deck, have had hilarious turn 1 'flood the board with 1 mana' moments :D
If you really want to counter turn 2 Doomsayer then you can do it with Crazed Alchemist, just fyi. That gives you a 2/2 plus whatever your 1-drop was, which should easily kill their Acolyte of Pain on turn 3 and leave them in trouble.
Why no 0-Mana cards in the "counter-face" deck?
I had a lot of success with Deathrattle decks with one drop until 6 drop and flooding the 7 Mana and than sneeds on 8, anything on 9, and nzoth on 10. I have been undefeated, even against secret paly and astral druid
I had a dream that Kripp and the Kripperinos were walking and I was following them. Clownerino Kripperino kept making silly faces at me. Gorillarino Kripperino was stumbling down the bridge we were crossing. I thought he had died until he stood up then we gave each other high fives.
Huh. I went for a Varion warrior with a single card for 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 mana. Worked like a charm. Then again, I basically only ever play control warrior, so I guess I'm just an oddball on that front. :P
I've liked Midrange Nzoth hunter. Midrange Hunter is already a hard class to beat when they curve out perfectly and if you always have a 9 drop into Nzoth on turn 10 its quite hard to stop. it has no chance against the druid astral comunion nonsense :D
>play counterspell Mage
>watch Kripp's tears
There is a special part of hell waiting for you and all those who would play a deck like this in tavern brawl kripp :D. I know in a brawl there aren't any rules but come on, have some shame.
Think i'll start playing a removal pit viper/cobra deck with some random combo finisher just to counter all these big rush decks.
Near the beginning of the brawl I ran c'thun alexstrasza Druid. Turns 1-8 you buff c'thun and gain board control. Turn 9 alexstrasza their face. Turn 10 drop your c'thun. Since c'thun is always about 15/15 or more, easy win.
I faced that Astral Communion deck once, Yogg-and-Load wrecks it with the total lack of minions.
isnt miracle rogue pretty good too?
Having entered Hearthstone for real only a few months ago, and thus being among the lot who 'do not have the cards for secret paladin', I would like it if there were a possibility to play a tavern brawl like this using standard deck restrictions.
Made a silly priest deck with Yogg in it and 2x eater of secrets. Mulligan for 1 eater and get the other on turn 4 against a paladin. The ammount of instant concedes when I eat all their secrets and they drop another challenger which also gets insant eaten is just delicious.
I counter your druid with my prep or coin +coinceal/doomsayer/alarm-o-bot rogue deck !
Turn 1: Living roots, coin, living roots. Turn 2: Power of the wild = Board that kills doomsayer
This was so much fun with running 30/30 Legendary decks.
It's amazing how many tavern brawls there are where the best deck is just legend deck.
doomsayer can be killed by crazed alchemist
I do love this brawl. Finally one that isn't so fuckin unbalanced the winner is decided on turn 2.
At least this brawl Kripp can't complain about topdecks.
That was a sick deck. Glad to watch this video.
I just put a bunch of zero cost stuff in my deck which was never drawn. This gave me perfect draws every turn.
I've had a bunch of very good runs against those astral communion decks with my hunter. Basically it's just about stuffing deathrattles in there that spawn new minions, and then buffing them all up.
Fiery bat vs mrrgglton doesn't really matter much. If hunter goes first: more dmg on hero
Haunted creeper vs Doomsayer: Hunter get some spiders
Harvest golem vs Acolyte: Not optimal, but works against some
Infested wolf when the druid goes Astral. Should have a bunch of small minions on table now, vs clean table and hand.
Prnicess Huhuran for more minions, vs whatever big guy comes out.
I've played Highmane next, but feel like Sylvanas would do great as there's more big guys coming out
Stormwind Champion to buff my little ones for more damage.
Call of the wild to seal the deal. In the dream scenario hunter goes second and even had one in his starting hand, to coin it out on 7, then another one on 8.
If they're still not dead yet, you'll be playing on equal terms, with the druid on much lower health...
Not too sure how it does against secret paladin though...
20:55 Oh my God,that's amazing!
- Van Darkholme
Beat the Astral Communion deck with a Control Priest, then never played again. It was dull.
Doomsayer and the Alarm-o-bot were good shadow word pain targets, so it sure as hell can be killed.
I actually beat a secret paladin with my evolve/bloodlust shaman deck - had quite a few games won very quickly!
you played the same pally twice, and both times he died by Alex and the Force Tank :/
And now we get a flood of mage "Counterspell on 3" decks. 8)
mana wraith can be quite effective in this brawl, mess up the curve for everyone. then play mind games on turn 4 and get the enemies deathwing.
to kill doomsayer if it is played on turn two and you are going second, you must have payed flame imp and have a power overwhelming or soul fire.
why no run nourish for turn five?
I remember this brawl, it was only fun on the first day, mostly because i didn't craft dr.boom till after this brawl
Secret pally powerful? I just recked atleast 5 secret pally's with my warrior. Just include Sylvanas in your deck and you're set for their turn 6 play.
well they will be playing them now. thanks kripp
For brawls like this they should add a sort of "super coin" that does something like gain a mana and draw a card. Or just start you at 2 mana crystals instead of 1.
