That ice block mage is possibly the luckiest person ive ever seen

I queued into this brawl with Innervate and Lorewalker Cho just to have some laughs. My very first opponent turned out to be an Ice Lance-Ice Block mage who got his hand flooded by innervates and couldn't draw anything. Easy game~

Heh. I've destroyed a few of those.
My first game of this brawl was a loss to Mech Warper and Whirling Zapp-o-matic. I was playing a narrow-minded Undercity Huckster+Defias Ringleader deck.
Mechwarper + Metaltooth is complete CANCER. I played 15 games with it with almost 100% win rate. Won against mill decks, spells, other class mech decks...basically anything you encounter. The only time I lost was a hunter mirror with the same deck and he had the coin,so he did the combo 1 turn before me
+Joximus ART It can lose, but it's the best deck alongside savage roar token druid and target demmy bolster warrior. Innervate ysaarj is good too.
Most matches between these decks comes down to who gets the coin.

+Joximus ART Played a living roots/Savage roar deck against Metaltooth hunter. Was hilarious when they played out their hand on turn three and I savaged roar with six 1/1 dudes and just killed all his minions. He couldn't recover fast enough after that.
+Joximus ART Wild Pyromancer + Power Word:Shield beats the Mechwarper decks almost every single time.
35:11 How did his 12/4 deathwing become a doggo?
The Battlecry kills all minions that are not Deathwing... so in order for the old one to be destroyed... it gets turned into another minion, I'd assume....

Probably the best and funniest part of this Brawl...there's an actual evolving meta with it, just like Ladder. That's kinda crazy, but pretty interesting to watch too.

I played upgrade and shield block. It didn't work often, but when it did, it was spectacular.
There is also a thread in MagicTCG's subreddit adapting this Tavern Brawl to MTG; worth checking out.

Doomsayer + Quickshot was amazing. I never saw anyone else play it, but essentially you play doomsayer every turn while burning the enemy face

That beneath the grounds game made me legitimately angry
One of the decks I tried was a rogue with the ship's cannon and the southsea deckhand. Not the most effective deck, but the nonstop barrage of cannon blasts was just amazing to watch.
Another cool deck I tried was a warlock with Mana Addicts and Power Overwhelming. Beat a Mindblast+Holy Smite Priest with like 4 health left thanks to power overwhelming lethal.
The Target Dummy Bolster is my favorite I tried, but my first one was Twilight Whelp Mind Blast, and that never lost either.
The last guy sucks because he could keep his taunts and it blocks deathwing

Every Evolve Shaman I've played against thus far has evolved his taunts when he desperately needed them.
I think Thrall might be a gambling addict.

Once he reached ten mana, every draw is either frost nova (stall), or deathwing (clear), so against his evolve deck it didn't matter. Neither were designed for fatigue either.

Some combinations I ran (because I have no good cards) was pretty much Mastiff arrows + Timber Wolf ; Arcane Missiles + Arcane Intellect
Rogue with Ship Cannon and Buccaneer was fun to play and to beat people with two common cards added insult to injury.
Warrior with Alexstraza's Champion and Faerie Dragon was my other successful combo.
The Ice Block deck I saw that was extra awesome had it paired with Molten Giant. I didn't even mind losing to that one.
I hope this brawl comes back soon!

It works against few of the decks, but despite that, the one deck I enjoyed watching played - just for the pure randomness - was the "Blood imp + Renounce Darkness" Warlock deck.
You are now a completely different class with cheap cards. Good luck!

Nice to see a range of decks because when I played it was Metaltooth, Metaltooth all day. Tried going Trogg + Lightning storm to counter it but rage quit when I roll all 2s.

my personal favorite was loot hoarder and forlorn stalker, you get crazy huge loot hoarders than can trade effectively against a minion based deck that isnt hyper aggressive, and when the hoarders die they get replaced
Mad Bomber / Madder Bomber was my favorite deck to run.
Other favorites of mine were Mistress of Pain / Demonfire, Target Dummy / Bolster and Mr Steal Yo Minions (Mind Vision / Mind Games).
Deathwing has been a dogie in disguise this whole time.
No doggie has been deathwing in disguise.

Favorite combo to pull off this brawl was sorc apprentice and cabalist tome. Shit gets real when you have 5 down and your tomes give you more tomes filled with small amounts of direct damage. Also random free secrets like iceblock.
Upgrade + Shieldblock also makes for some very interesting games.

if you put a golden card in the deck, 14 of the copies will be regular, and only one will be golden.

at 22:35, the other guy had 40 cards, 23 of wich were narubians, and he still went 4 times without drawing one... about 7% chance of that happening
Mech warper and the warlock mech was pretty good too. 4 of them out there took out most of the other board and i beat quite a few of the hunter mech decks with it too. :)

And I've been noticing this a lot when cards die (or transform) during some single target/AoE animations, especially Evolve effects, since WotOG came out (and on and off between patches before).

my first deck was nourish plus the 1 cost discover card including getting some tree of lives to avoid burst decks lol, then play taunt and bolster.

my favourite brawl in a long time. some fun things i have played (not necessarily good) were whirlwind armorsmith for 100000 armor. inmervate shifter zerus for insane rng and renounce darkness also for rng.
best game i have had was with zerus turn one coin 3x innervate tirion concede.
I tried that naturalize fatigue deck. My first match was against the new Deathwing and innervate. Lucky me.
This brawl is really crazy! Looks similar to Legacy format from MtG: your deck beats some decks but looses to other.
The most craziest shit i v seen here was, ofc, mechwarper Hunter. To beat it i combined Warrior's Berserkers and Whirlwind. I mean: you are waiting till that 14-years old basdard throw his garbage from his hand, then you cast 3 whirlwinds and win. If you have a coin - you will also get 23/1 berserker on the 3rd turn.
Sad for me, that deck loses to mill and to ice block.
Also i saw many different druids. The most interesting was a druid with Innervate and Y'Shaarj. Imo, it is much better than astral druid or a druid with, for example, Ragnaros. Because he multiplies his 10/10's every turn.

Undefeated with Northshire Cleric and Mind Blast, that worked really well for me. Or for anything with minions Sorcerer's Apprentice and Frost Nova, but that's pretty much the same as with Mana Wyrm.
Such an interesting brawl, shame that Mechwarper was so prevalent, I really enjoyed seeing the ingenious combos live Innervate and Yogg or Naturalise and Coldlight Seer for the first time.
the first two games i played were against mechwarper metaltooth decks so i got over it pretty quickly. watching this has me wanting to go back though

My favorite decks were Renounce Darkness and Evolve Shaman, I only played cancer bots (Mechwarper) when I needed to complete quests
Innervate/Ysera is pretty fun. Clearing a mech board with Ysera Awakens on turn 3 is pretty great.
Mechwarper ruined this brawl.

Yogg Druids are my heroes. Even if that deck is trash, I tend to let them win. Go on you believers :')

I had some fun with Tunnel Trogg + Lava Burst. But I was playing like four hours after the Brawl went live, got a few wins in, and stopped. Dunno how well that would line up against stuff like Mechtooth Leaper + Mechwarper.
I went 20 wins in a row with Innervate + Troggzor. Doesn't work against decks with no spells but most opponents I ran into were using Mana Wurm + Arcane Missiles.

Honestly...I think this is my favorite Tavern Brawl yet. My favorite deck this time is Sorcerer's Apprentice/Unstable Portal. So much fun times to be had. My favorite game was when I was trying out mark of naaru/thoughtsteal, and I happened upon an innervate/yogg Druid. ALL THE YOGGS
I had a lot of success with Mana Wyrm plus Arcane Missiles.
I loved playing Ancestral Call+Deathwing, Dragonlord.
Innervate coldlight druid was fun, playing 5 coldlights turn 1 is always fun
