Sounds great! My 16 yo nephew put super 44’s on his early 70’s GMC recently. Sadly I now know I’m getting old when I think it’s just too damn loud lol. Can still appreciate thy sound tho.
My 87 cutlass needs exhausts, me and my dad put a 350/4 barrel and 700r4 in place of the 307 and 200r4 junk powertrain. She's running on a temporary headers, flex pipe and thrush glass packs for now, love how this sounds, may have to run that set up.

My dad had a 68 c20 with side pipes just like that 2.5inch but the tips were 5 inch makes a difference trust me. Loved that truck. Then when he dropped me off at school he would do a big ole mean burnout and everyone would just stare at me.
@@prestonmckenzie5041 well I really like the classic 40,it was the first moffler from flowmaster on the 70s,the classic 40 sound good with stock manifolds and sounds also good with headers, the super 10 it's More for competition it's really loud ,I recommend you to check different videos on RUclips,also super 44 as the video sounds awesome

I have a 1992 chevy silverado shortbed with stock manifold and Flowmaster Delta 40s dual exhaust . Do these Super 44s have a deeper tone than the 40s? I'm just curious because we both have a 90s model compared to his 76. And I'm in search of some new exhaust but with deeper tone on the inside. It's a 350 V8 5.7 by the way. Thanks !!
Hey man I bought some headman headers and i had some clearance issues too pero it was only a little , dont be afraid to put a dint on them to make then clear , i put some on mine and they’ve held up for a year now and had no issues with then since so you should’ve just banged them up a little

I got this muffler on my 76 Cadillac Eldorado but it´s not half as loud. I guess the lenght of the Caddy cuts the sound and it´s also a single exhaust 2.5".
What type of clearance issues did u have with the long tube headers? I have a 454 in mine and I got a set of Hedman long tubes I’m throwin on tomorrow hopefully
From what I see on the flowmaster website the super 10 is the loudest they offer, mine is 2 steps below that. I'm sure there's way louder mufflers from other brands, just depends how much you want to spend

I’m curious about the drone you experience in the cab. I have a 78 c10 (love yours by the way) and I’m debating between the super 44 and the 40 series. I keep hearing the drone gets bad. But I love the sound yours is making! I’m just wondering what your experience has been with cab noise at freeway speeds. Thanks so much for your video.
Glad you like it! You mat experience some drone, but it's not near as bad as the cherrybomb on my sportage. I rarely get the truck above 55mph since third gear hits about 35 mph and then the rpms just climb from there. I really don't mind the sound at that speed thought. Would love to see how your truck turns out!
I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 3.7 v6 I have a flowmaster that’s been there since I can remember used to be louder until water got into the engine can anyone help me figure out why the sound decreased? I got told to take off the super 44 single pipe but I don’t think that will change it
is your exhaust completely separated from left and right header or do they collect into one under the cab and then split again before the mufflers? wondering for my '65 impala which has single pipes left and right with no x or h collector in between
Is this "your neighbors will hate you" loud? I currently have thd super 10's on the same truck in the exact same configuration. It's too damn loud. I really like the sound, I just want to be sure it's not super loud still.
I have elderly neighbors and I used to drive this truck to work at 3am every morning. They say they've never been woken by it. Granted I didn't sit there revving it either.

Only thing I didn't like about those generation Chevy fullsize pickups was the gas tank was mounted outside of the frame which was dangerous because for example if another car runs a red light or stop sign & hits you between the cab & pickup box, the tank underneath will get hit too & make it explode depending on the force of the side impact but other than that they were cool trucks.
I encourage it if there's no inspections where you are, or if it's old enough to be exempt. Also, let me know how it ends up sounding on that 318, I just got a 94 dakota with a 318 which seriously needs an exhaust job
It was for 4 years until a month ago, now it needs a head gasket job. These can be great solid trucks, just keep in mind that with anything this old (this truck is 42 years old) there can be a lot of worn out parts. Also fuel economy can suffer with old engines, especially a heavy truck like this with a v8. Also this isn't a fuel injected engine like today's cars, it has a carburetor. There are alot less electronics to deal with tho. If you plan to get one just have it looked over by someone who knows old cars real well. Hope this helps

@@Nav02847 couldn't tell ya. Never had any cats in the time I've owned it. Sounded... ok... before the upgrade,was definitely quieter, but I personally recommend aftermarket on the 350 v8
Thanks! I must agree, although if I could also have a 68 chevy I wouldn't complain either. I do prefer the flowmasters over the glasspacks, but I did just buy an old kia with one installed on it. That's another video on this channel

I had a sbc 383. With 1 3/4 long tubes and 3” dual pipes. With the flowmaster 44 mufflers. Sounded good.

The cheap ones I got on eBay wouldn't clear the frame on the passenger side. I was told I should have just spent the money on Hedman

Getting this for my 1989 dodge d 150 V8 318 now do I need to remove the catalytic converter ! Any body please tell me.

That interior is embarrassing how bad it is. But the the engine sounds good. Those tail lights looks very bad for a after market design.
