Lisa, your too cute. I love your constant encouraging. So super sweet. Not to mention your an awesome artist. There's no way the majority of us could come any where close to your excellence but it's the thought that counts. Anyway, Thanks for your teachings. Your so talented. 🥰😘
First let me say I love your painting. I love how you're explaining everything. Also I cannot believe that you touched base on getting paralyzed when a painter gets to a certain level in their painting and they get scared and don't want to move forward. That is me. Thank you for encouraging me to move on and get past that moment and see what happens on a canvas
I don't paint anything like you do, and I don't much like acrylics, but I love your paintings and I absolutely love your energy. Even though I don't paint in your style I have learned an awful lot watching your videos. Thank you for all your hard work bringing them to us. They do inspire me to think a little differently than I am use to. I do tackle projects beyond my capabilities...I love large paintings...seems my favorite large size is 30 x 40. Maybe some day my abilities will catch up to my desire to do large paintings adequately. Meanwhile I do what I do for fun, learning and personal enjoyment. I have no desire to do it professionally or even sell a painting. Very nice painting and thanks!
I'm so glad to hear that! Thanks for such kind words :D You are braver than I am jumping into larger work lol. I did have a lot of fun on some of the murals I did, but after each one I always thought "NEVER AGAIN!" and immediately painted something small haha.
One of the things I want to try someday soon is a city scene, raining, dusk or dark, lots of reflected color and maybe using only a palette knife or maybe a brush a little. Why not go crazy once in a while and do something just to explore...
I have enjoyed every second of this video! awww it's so beautiful😍😍😍 I love the colors, textures, glazing, oh! spectacular! 🤩It makes me want to go back to acrylic again, when I see these paintings of yours. I loved your composition, very creative!💜💙💜💙💜💙
Thanks! I'm glad to see it finished so I could start something new haha :P Three weeks is entirely too long for me to work on one piece, I get so bored!
Lots of love frm india...dear ur art is awesome...thanks to share such details...best part of ur tutorial is dat u keep telling pros nd cons..u r simply awesome...plz keep sharing such amazimg art works of urs...god bless u😘😍
Lisa, it is so good to see this come together. Great work as always. You did very well with the light and dark values and the emphasis on the focal point of the bowl. The movements of the octopus continues to bring the viewers attention back to the focal point. (bowl). Very well done and very creative.
I enjoyed watching this process. its very creative and inspiring. when I work on projects, I don't work too big. lately I have been working on mixed media paper size 18 x 24.
Just recently discovered your channel. Your tutorials are invaluable and your artwork is phenomenal! It simultaneously makes me want to quit because I suck and inspires me to keep practicing because I want to get it right. Haha Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience. 🤗
Thank you so much for this video! I was just looking for a video that explains how to design your own creative artwork because it’s something I really wanted to learn and improve on. Really helpful video that is what I was looking for
you all prolly dont care but does someone know a method to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly lost my password. I love any tricks you can give me
@Zeke Wilson I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Thanksss!!! Lisa!! In my country Liquitex basics are very expensive, anything liquitex is... but I´ll find another nacional brand of very good quality for start :)
absolutely stunning piece of surrealism I just love it, the octopus is adorable I think :) Lisa listening to and watching your process for everything within the water was sooooo helpful. I have been wondering for weeks now how I could make a mermaid I drew look like she's under water and not just look like I've painted over the top of blue. The info on how to create the parts in the distance to :) such an informative video as usual thanks so much.
Lisa, Your painting is absolutely gorgeous, your tutorials and live chats are so inspiring and informative.. I really appreciate that you do things on RUclips as well as Patreon, I guess that is how you spell it. Thank you so much. I have a question, if one doesn't know how to airbrush how would someone go about creating the same effect?
I love this awesome information I have a question about your mop brush. Since you are going over your bowl with a mop brush the paint that is in it how do you get it out Of your brush sorry for all the edits. Do you ever show how to use photo shop for your ideas for your paintings??
When you say synthetic hog hair (for the liner brush) is that a blend of synthetic bristles and of hog hair or a faux hog hair? I ask because I may look for a Silver Brush Cambridge liner (if they have one) because I am comfortable with that line.
Hi! Loving your videos. They are insanely educational! I can't believe you give soooo much information and advice for free on RUclips! Thank you so much!! I've always focused on Oil Painting and am now exploring acrylic. I see you said in the video you use water to "dilute" your paint. I have heard that that can cause your paint (in time) to peel off the canvas, and you should always use medium instead of water. Have any of your paintings ever peeled or cracked? And then :) ... how do you prep your canvases? With gesso, or PVA- and how many layers? Do you sand the layers of gesso? Thanks! Amy
I'm guessing it's an issue with the paint you're using. I've never had that happen with liquitex or golden's so I can't offer any solutions :( Try contacting the manufacturer. OH! That counts as a potential solution right? Do I get points for that?!
Another amazing painting Lisa. Love the bold vivid colors and beautiful lighting. I also really love the new intro, very artist, visually stunning. I have to a couple of questions @lachrifineart or anyone else that may know the answer. I really want to perfect glazing but when I try I always get a streaky look. My glazes look like one color pourly paint on top of another color instead of giving me a luminescent pop of color. This always happens regardless of how I made the glaze, with water or with medium. What am I doing wrong. I have thought it may be my brushes but I use the simply simmons brushes and they work great for everything else. I dont use white. I only use transparent colors. I have watched your video on glazing but am still not getting desirable results. HELP!!
Without seeing what is going on it's hard to say. If you post a photo over on our facebook group either myself or others can give you some tips :D facebook.com/groups/LachriArtists/
I have a question about Patreon soo When you upload a video on patreon is it automatically available for download or do you put a link so that the person is able to download it Does this differ between different patreon pages I really don’t know how one is able to download a video from patreon Sorry for so many questions 😐
None of my videos are available to download, you can watch them directly on patreon though, and all of those are available to be watched as soon as you're a member :)
I like to work on 9x12 or 11x14 canvases the majority of the time, but sometimes I go down to something smaller, like an 8x10, or the smallest I've gone to is a 4x6, because I picture the subject matter looking better on a smaller surface. Also if I'm trying out a new brand of canvas for the first time, I like to go small, because I don't want to spend a lot of money on a large canvas and realize I don't like it.
Please bring step by step live paintings so that we can learn nd paint step by step without any error..no matter d painting takes 4-5 hrs...if it takes a day u can release in parts...pleasee😘
In your most recent colored pencil podcast, you said you shouldn’t have a personal Facebook and/or Instagram, which I agree with, but what about an account where you post photos of your pets, or can you even post those photos on your art account?
I didn't say you shouldn't have one, you should. You should just be smart about what you post on them. Also, I post my pets on my instagram and twitter :)
Oh goodness, there are way too many artists who don't stop to say "This is not a quick process, this takes me x amount of time and I condense the video" I run into so many of my fellow amateurs who get angry they're not done yet or wonder why their rushed piece looks nothing like what they expect it to
i’m very curious. your painting style is very different than Bob Ross’ style, and I would love it if you could film a video of you following one of his painting tutorials. thanks!
I am a fan of all your works, but some really stay in my mind... this is one of them after the surreal dolphins you did quite a while ago...... I am a fan of surrealism, if it is not already evident.....
You are a fabulous teacher ! Thank you so very much for sharing all your tips and encouragement.
Thank you so much!
I like your speed (in regards to how you're speaking), efficiency and clarity. You instruct instead of showing this like an ASMR video 😜
Lisa, your too cute. I love your constant encouraging. So super sweet. Not to mention your an awesome artist. There's no way the majority of us could come any where close to your excellence but it's the thought that counts. Anyway, Thanks for your teachings. Your so talented. 🥰😘
Not boring to paint at all ..yes some music is always good to listen too ..but it's never boring to paint and create
First let me say I love your painting. I love how you're explaining everything. Probably the least annoying sponsorship I've seen in a while. Love your concept for the painting!
I don't paint anything like you do, and I don't much like acrylics, but I love your paintings and I absolutely love your energy. Thanks! Those twisty legs make it pretty easy to control the flow of the viewer's eyes. Much more so than most subjects :P
Wow. Wow. Wow. Your videos are so educational! I am so grateful. ❤️
Well done. Not only was this was helpful I loved your intro.
Thanks!! I think I was more excited to share that intro than the painting itself haha!
I really like that you took time and explained every single step. Very professional inspiring and informative
I'm glad you liked it :D
I love this painting!! I like 11x14 Normally but I just worked my way up to 18x24. The biggest painting in acrylic.
11x14 is so nice and comfortable. I love doing close-ups of things like fish or flowers on that size!
So awesome to see it all finished....such a cool piece!
Omg I'm in love with your paintings. You have a beautiful style!
I enjoyed watching this process. its very creative and inspiring. when I work on projects, I don't work too big. lately I have been working on mixed media paper size 18 x 24.
I vote that is the best size! :P
Perfect detail and color combination!
You are so amazing. I love all your videos. Thank you so much.
Brilliant thank you for the instructions

+Tina Procaccini you could get very similar results as what I did here by glazing 😊
Woaaaaa! Love it....that is all
Thank you...that is all too :P

Loving your new videos!!! ❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗
Thanks!!
The new goldfish logo looks amazing! Did you do it on your wacom?
Thanks, and yes, I did :D
That intro music was amazing I'm SHOOK 😨
Squeee! I'm glad you liked it! I was really excited about it myself :D
I love the intro😍😍🎊🎉
Thanks!! :D
What kind of projector do you use to get an image from Photoshop to your canvas?
I use one by artograph. ruclips.net/video/BHPVQpRxooQ/видео.html
I started painting in acrylics and then the next layer wouldn't stick. What do I do? How do I fix it? I'd rather not start over.
I'm guessing it's an issue with the paint you're using. I've never had that happen with liquitex or golden's so I can't offer any solutions :( Try contacting the manufacturer. OH! That counts as a potential solution right? Do I get points for that?!
Yes, you get points. The spot I'm having problems with I used paint from Walmart. Not Good Im Sure. Should I gesso that spot or start over?

Loved this video! Did you let each layer dry before you started the next?
Some of them yes, others no. It varied depending on what I was trying to accomplish on any given area :)
I have a question about Patreon soo
When you upload a video on patreon is it automatically available for download or do you put a link so that the person is able to download it
Does this differ between different patreon pages

That sounds both scary and seriously fun! I think I will do it!
Yes, much like the new trend with MUAs following each other's tutorials
I would love to sign you up. To chart your artwork Hun
I am a fan of all your works, but some really stay in my mind... this is one of them after the surreal dolphins you did quite a while ago...... I am a fan of surrealism, if it is not already evident.....
you keep saying he in reference to the octopus. please dont put genders on animals
+Stephen Bobby ooh good thinking, I wouldn't want to offend my fictional subject. He might bite me!
Seriously??
😂😂😂😂😂
This is cool
