No livestream this week! I started reorganizing and adding some shelves to my studio now it looks like an episode of hoarders in here. I need a few more days to get things back in order. I will have a video sharing my updated studio when it's all finished!
This was sooo encouraging. I stopped painting for more than 6 months because of various events in life and I was just starting to get the hang of it! so now that I came back to painting I felt so bad because I lost all the small ability I gained... But I'm encouraged now. Thank you
Your videos are so creative and inspiring! Ive been following you since the beginning. Its amazing to see that you’ve grown so much in the last few years as an artist. It’s encouraging for someone who has just started this RUclips journey!
Jeez I just don’t know HOW you get that detail & lighting with those acrylics... you are so freakin good... I get very frustrated trying to blend acrylic paint mostly cuz they dry too doggone quick... so so inspiring... love it...
Your best work yet. Thank you for the 20 year timeline. It is very encouraging. My goal is to look like Hudson river school painters. Big romantic scenery. I also love birds so will continue to do close up studies of all types.
I’ve never done acrylic like that before and after watching this I so badly want to learn acrylics, once I get my life together I will join your patreon ✝️🙌
This is gorgeous! I'm so glad you said what you did at the end of the video about getting there in the end as I am stuck in a rut with my painting this year and haven't finished anything. I seem to have become hyper critical of my work and don't like any of it right now. You just reminded me to stick at it and finish what I am doing. Thank you ;-)
Those green dots are called "Duck Weed". I especially like how you made the fur on his back look wet. And your choice of colors for your shadows. Very nice work!
Thank you for sharing such quality content, I love your videos! I just started painting with acrylics again after focusing on watercolor and oils for a while and was wondering if you like to use mediums with your acrylics. If so, what are your favorites?
great!! now i feel like i can do better with my painting. Before watching this i thought i had ruined my canvas. BTW love your videos they are really helpful
Question: Have you used Holbein colored pencils before? They're supposed to be the best in the world. Which colored pencils are your favorite to use? caran d'ache or polychromos? Or do you prefer to use a mix of different kinds of pencils? If so, which ones?
I personally won't purchase pencils that I can not get open stock. What are we going to do when one runs out? Go buy another full set? That is not acceptable to me. The next issue I have is that the Holbein's do not have actual lightfast ratings that I can find. All they say is "Excellent light resistance". That means very pretty much nothing. If these were available open stock like most colored pencils I would suggest trying a few (assuming you were able to find any lightfast ratings at all), but that isn't really possible with those pencils because they can not be legally sold in the US being that the company will not do tests for toxicity. This brand has three strikes against it to me 1) Not available open stock. 2) No real lightfast ratings. 3) Grossly overpriced considering points 1 and 2.? I know artists who I trust who have used them and they are not much different than Polychromos in performance from what they've said. On top of that, the colors are mostly pastels which are not super useful for me :)
@@Lachri I'm waiting for my luminance to come in in a few weeks. Idk if I should go with Holbein on polychromos for full set for Christmas. I think polychromos from what you're saying. I have a holbein set, and they're amazing! But very overpriced. Which paper do you think is best for colored pencils?
Absolutely stunning! If I could paint half as well, I'd be thrilled. Do you have a video describing how to take your original paintings and either make copies for prints and merchandise, or how to partner with someone who can do that for you for a percent?
Just found your channel, and already love it! I'm from Brazil, and here is really hard to find these top canvas (only found the roll and it's reaaly expensive). So I normally do 3-4 layers of acrilics gesso to make the canvas more smooth. it already makes some difference... But hope I'll try one of these top canvas once and check the difference. =)
Have you tried the Blick Artist Studio colored pencils and/or the Arteza Expert. I was wanting to get some cheaper pencils and thought I would ask someone who knew the media. Don’t want to spend a lot in case I don’t enjoy it, plus I just don’t have a lot to spend.
Hi Larchi , I'm interested to join your Patreon site. First, do you go as quick along as you do now ? Or do you go slower so we can paint alo g with you ? Thanks
Hi Lisa. Can you review Sakura acrylic paints? I'm very new with wet paint mediums. I'm not sure if you can find that locally but i always see this brand in the art stores on my area. Liquitex basics is hard to find here and expensive to ship. Your review will be helpful if it's a good one for me to start with. :)
Hi Lissa i really need a video tutorial for straight hair, i´m having problems with a drawing and i feel fear!!! please please i beg you. Hi from Mexico!!!! I love our work you are so talented.

Where do you get reference for your drawings?
Love it, thank you.
Whats the longest you ever worked on a piece of art
You’re making me want to learn how to paint Lisa. More art supplies would be a dangerous thing 🤨
