Hey everybody, so I was recently alerted that my video “the Escape Artist” from 2019 was Partially blocked in many places around the world due to some music copyright issues, so i decided to re edit it.
I love this painting and want to make sure it is always available to view, so here goes.
Stay tuned through the end as I have added some bonus content shot by my friend Birdman /Photos , which includes a pre show walk around of my gallery exhibition “The Escape Artist” as well as coverage of the actual opening event at Los Angeles’ very own KP Projects Gallery curated and ran by the historic gallerist Merry Karnowsky, who helped put the Pop Surrealism movement on the map!

Your work is always amazing Greg ,it’s bold,colourful and so full of life..You are always changing you’re style slightly which makes it extra exciting to watch seeing new ideas,or characters coming into your work.I absolutely love watching you paint,it’s so relaxing,and inspiring too.You’re my favourite artist on RUclips.I think it’s because you mix old things like cup,plates ,candlesticks with animals or fantasy.It’s a strange mixture but it works perfectly together.I love how you create new animals or elongated fish and do beautiful realistic birds.I just think your so brilliant at what you do ..Love n Light to you and your family 🥰

I don't know, but I have a feeling you'd do an amazing job painting some eldritch being with that crazy imagination and awesome skills. I am amazed time and time again at the way you paint octopuses (octopi?) and all the burnished metal elements.
I love your paintings and your imagination and thought process it would be amazing if you could gv some hints and tips on shading, color blending and techniques. Also what is it u brush on that gives it a fuller effect

Discovered you through the art collab and went down the rabbit hole when I seen your hand style on the back of the painting, I was thinking...hold up... is he a writer? Then watching this I seen the graffiti pieces you were doing and it made sense lol. Fantastic work you do man, definitely inspiring. 🙌

hey, love the artwork !! what do you use to tint the color when doing underwater stuff ?
That was a mixture of pthalo green, Indian yellow, and maybe a bit of ultramarine blue. I don't remember exactly:)

I believe i used my 50/50 Acrylic retarder/Slow dry matte liquid mix. here's a video on how I use it: ruclips.net/video/DHxaqutVHOg/видео.html ... also here: I use Earl Lube our medium as it gives much of the same effect: ruclips.net/video/GlGXqjIf-T4/видео.html . In all reality, you can use water as well. I only began using mediums over the past 4 years or so after about 15 years of not using mediums. So experiment, try it all out, make accidents that turn into techniques. have a great one
