  • My tips and tricks on how to function as a human person on the human planet! These "hacks" are strategies I've adopted over time in order to manage disorganization, executive dysfunction, forgetfulness, time-blindness, and a painful lack of object permanence.     If I only I could put stickers on my stickers in order to remember to stick my stickers on things I need to remember…

    Thank you for this. I’m dyslexic undiagnosed autism and my time management is terrible. I really struggle with motivation and organisation. It’s taking way too long for me to write this comment… where was I??… I drift off and get sooo distracted really easily. For me, I love glitter and if it’s glittery and has rainbows on it, I’m able to focus on it. I adore rainbows and glitter and stars, so those kinds of stickers, especially the raised 3D ones. I also love bright yellow, like green and neon pink and orange things. The brighter the better. Your video is brilliant, I love it!!!!🥰☺️🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈

      I do most of my art/writing in the living room. It helps keep me social, it keeps me away from lying in my bed, and I have people willing to remind me to take breaks, bring me snacks and drinks, and remind me of all the things I need to get done for the day. They also encourage me even when I don't get all the things I wanted to done. So basically- a good support system is what helps me the most 💖

    I use lists like you were talking about at the end, but I also struggle with choice paralysis. So I gave each task/activity a number, and when I can't pick which one to do I roll a die and that's my activity!

    I have a group chat with some friends where I write down a to do list- And everytime I finish a task they give me compliments. Really helps me get through my day lol

    Oh, this should be very helpful for me. I've been struggling a lot with executive dysfunction and just in general doing things like a normal person. I really should go back to therapy.
    But whatever, great video!

    Get a ponyo tattoo if you want! I looove seeing people get things they love on their body it’s like stickers but on skin and it’s really cool I want to get some eventually! Only thing with the water is do the stickers make it harder to wash?

      I don't frequently wash my waterbottle, so I couldn't say for sure (I only put water in it ever). They would probably fall off if you machine-washed them.

    THANK U SO MUCH U LOVELY HUMAN! I struggle with organizing my shit for forever now and people around me are always suggestion "JusT WriTE a tO Do LiST" "kEeP a KalEnDer". No shit sherlock but that system doesn`t work for everyone.. So yeah i will try to apply some of your hacks, already installed the planer app hehe. I also like befirend future you a lot because I tend to dislike past-me for delaying tasks. Thanks again for the tips!

    Very interesting ideas. I shared with a friend who struggles with this.
    I like the be your future self's friend.
    Something I try is if something takes less than a minute I do it in the moment. Things like put rubbish in the bin. Wipe down counter. Change toilet roll lol

    oh my gosh, i need stickers!! i love stickers so much. (i have one on my phone but most of them go on my mirror or anywhere else i put them.) i need them on my daily items so i feel less dread using my things.

    This was actually really helpful! When even the littlest things affect my plans I just totally forget about what I was supposed to do, but I think this will help.
    Also, random question, have you ever used Routinery? I don't want to seem like I'm being sponsored, but I think it's really helpful for anyone, having the flexibility of routines

    Do you mind me asking if you have ADHD? I do, and every day is a meltdown because I can never find anything! This video is really helpful xx

      I’m glad that it’s helpful! And I’m not formally diagnosed, but suspicious and in the process (my brother has ADHD, and we have a large family history of developmental/learning disabilities, plus obvious signs within myself). And I empathize - finding things is a nightmare… 😭

    HELLO! great video but I've only gotten to the hydration because i wanted to also say [edit:i have finished the video. Really helpful for me because i just started school again:> thank you!)
    Something that helps me drink water more in a straw. I find it easier for me to drink it if it has a straw. Also if I'm holding it I tend to absentmindedly drink water if it has a straw:>
    Also
    Bright colors help me with alot of things
    -notes (i color code them with several color pens and highlighters)
    -folders
    -planner (for school i use to have alot of difficulty using a planner but then I started using several color pens for certain things)
    In general though bright colors make me happy so I'm more likely to look at them or notice them
    Also
    Makeing a plan before i start something. I have difficulty starting somethings because the task is overwhelming. When i make a plan usually i have a better time starting and not breaking down or giving up. If the task is longer and a short plan doesn't work i make several smaller tasks so when i finish one i feel accomplished and move onto the next one.

    To add to the sticker trick: I know from past experience that RedBubble stickers are pretty pricy (I'm sure there are other places to get them cheaper, but for the sake of this comment I'm just going to say RedBubble) but you can actually make your own! My best friend used to draw what she wanted the sticker to be, color it, stick double sided tape on it, and voila! You have a sticker! *Also, if you're like me and see something about drawing and run the other way, you can trace stuff/print off your phone or computer to get the design you want!*
