I haven't. I never actually got the new one but there wouldn't really be much to say given that the new EXB RTR8S is really just the old EXB roller with electronics and slightly updated tires. They didn't make any changes to the chassis.
I already broke a front drive cup. Could be a fluke since I haven’t seen anyone else having an issue. The old design popped out a lot, but an aftermarket hardened one fixed the issue. Will be curious to see long term how these new drive cups hold up 👍
Thanks for putting the time in to show the changes. I agree about the elephant in the room. The upside to this Big Rock model is that it's more compatible with plenty of the parts that are around right now. Am looking forward to seeing how built up you're gonna make it. Personally (if budget permitted) I'd go all-out with some Treal bulkheads (because huge input bearing) the chunkiest generic aftermarket (not hollow) suspension hinge pin blocks (so you can use stock pins) an M2C chassis, 5mm hex kit, carbon towers, and HOBBYWING's G2 Max 6 system with the 4990 (at least)

I had similar thoughts if I get the brcc I don’t think I’d want to get it dirty . It look cool with those GRP 5th scale wheels , light kit , little smoke 💨 some ground effects .
I know things will break if you push it hard for sure. I have other rigs to send it for big airs. I want this for the more fast bashing around at speed. If the price drops I will be mad lol. But that's the game. It will sweet with all m2c stuff.
Yeah I've got more than just M2C stuff to go on there. I've got some titanium and some other stuff I'm going to be messing with as well. Agree about things breaking. Maybe this a question you can answer. What is the purpose of the capacitors attached to the esc to battery wires? And what effect will deleting these capacitors do to the performance of the rig?
The capacitors are designed to smooth out The current coming from the battery based on the fact that the ESC requires wildly varying amounts of power on millisecond time scales. Removing the external capacitors could cause instability on that input under heavy loads which might damage the ESC.
@DoRC So I was looking at getting a Hobbywing motor and esc combo. And I noticed no capacitors come with it. So now my question is should you add them? If so how do you know what kind you need? Looking at the Hobbywing max6 ezrun 8s 1650kv.
@@edwinlomonaco6754 If it doesn't come with them you probably don't need them. The ESCs have input capacitors built into them the external capacitors are just additional filtering. The only time you'd want to use additional filtering is if you're really pushing in order to its limit like speed running or something like that
I suspect they will come out with a new version of every EXB vehicle. @@DoRC very noyce
I don't even have to watch this video to tell you this thing is NOT the ultimate basher. I'd say the closest thing to an ultimate basher would be the new K6 EXB.
That's why I said ultimate scale basher. That's very different from ultimate basher overall. This thing is really designed to look good while still being fun. It's definitely not designed as an all-out thrasher.
Kraton 6s exb rocks🤘
@mdraigtr2406 Can't wait to get the new version!
@@DoRC yeah...me too🤘
Surely the body will be wrecked first landing on its roof
Nope. I've landed directly on the roof probably a half a dozen times now. The body is so heavily reinforced internally that it's pretty durable.
It's an expensive truck to start. Prices will drop after slow demand, just like the Fireteam.
Agreed. I would not be surprised if this truck ends up at $600 within a few months.
@DoRC absolutely. Even then it's still expensive.
A few days ago you claimed it might be obsolete because of the kraton, now it's suddenly the best? 😂 make content that matters instead of just filling space. Quickly losing respect for your channel.
Did you watch the videos?
