    I am Chinese and I am an English speaker who is studying Korean, I can't believe she is fluent in all three languages (maybe she knows more) and her pronunciation in Chinese is PERFECT (English too tho). I'm watching her Korean classes and it sounds very clear to understand too. How can people even being so good at these languages

    It's the first time that I envy someone for being born talking his language I wish I was born talking Chinese cause since this lesson I now see how hard it is, srsly I'm learning Korean and it's so easy I knew it's harder than Korean of course but yeah

    As a new learner of the Chinese language I appreciate the step by step way these 7 videos introduced the language. My only critique if there is one thing I find disappointing about teaching videos in general is the penchant to emphasize what something does not sound like initially over what it does and should sound like.

      @Beastofdestruct 7 лет назад

      Indeed, teachers actually aren't supposed to tell you what you shouldn't do, because it spreads confusion.

    Estonian language has all these sounds the "e" is the same as our letter "õ" and also the "ü" which is pronounced exactly the same.
    makes my learning process heaps easier

  • @TheThore

    The ü is also in german (and turkey) and it's here pronounced exactly as you described :) The french "u" is pronounced like the german "ü". Nice tutorial, this helps for pronounciation even if you are more advanced in chinese. Thank you.

    SEEMILE CHINESE, the U without the 2 dots on top comes forth in Dutch language and it's pronounced the same way you did, but it's usually used when you meet a person for the first time and your not familiar with them, and it's also used to talk to an older person.

    A very impressive and helpful course!
    However, for what I can see and hear, I think there is a slight spelling error on the blackboard when talking of the vowel "i" when with some consonants: z, c, s, zh, ch, sh, r are named but sh is written as s on the blackboard. A bit difficult to correct. But easy to understand.
    Thanks a lot!

      I am not sure if you misread what the title is. The name of this video is called pinyin. Pinyin is the Chinese vowels and writing system. In this case what she is relaying to us is correct for her own language even though she was taught English as her native language but she is teaching us Chinese. Just giving you the heads up on what you mention. Because I thought you were learning English and not Chinese.
