Legend says that Terrence Howard not only gave us Robert Downey Jr Iron man but he also came up with the math needed to create the infinity stones in real life.

How could he do that to him just smudged his career
Terrance is a great actor, whatever the problem behind the scenes are really suck but he was great in iron man, empire, hustle and flow, four brothers. He was great maine
Not really funny if you trying to be.,
The way Mr. Howard told that story, you can tell he is clearly upset with Robert but at the same time he still has understanding.
No. You can tell he's upset but you can't tell whether he's upset with a person or a situation. All I hear is a lack of accountability.
Where is lack of accountability? Literally without him putting a million on the line for Robert you wouldn’t have “iron man” and Robert didn’t help him when we needed. Simple
@@mr.m9979bro stop your coping for RDJ there is no accountability to be had here, RDJ is a piece of sh**

Sad when there’s so much greed and so little loyalty and honesty that you have to record conversations to protect yourself from false allegations.
We have to protect ourselves from women, when you are famous its got to be complete paranoia, because you can be cancelled in a second from nothing more than an accusation.
The podcast is finally feeling like the old days again
It feels weirdly esoteric. I thank the Tic Tac UFo incident, its made Joe go back on the right track. I was getting tired of all those unknown comedian interviews he likes to partake that seem as they should just be 5 to 10 minute videos instead of an hour of googling stuff while high. IMO
Although he still does that sometimes its not Bert Krisher, Tom Segura amd Bredan Schaub or the Nth time. The last example of comediam interview which no one was hot for was Akash Singh, but I guess since he is Andrew Schultz' boy thats why he didnit to help boost Singh's career as a token of apreciation to Schultz. I miss Cristina P on the pod and Josh Potter is overdo to appear. I do like when he brings really funny comedians like Shane Gillis and Mark Normand.
@j2ll1 Well you are right that Joey Diaz is one of the actually funny comedians he has on the show, no discussion there. However Joey is one exception out of dozens of not so amusing comedians Joe invites to his show. Among my favorites Joey Diaz, Cristina P, Nicky Glazer, Bobby Lee, Andrew Santino (its hit or miss on this one, although his podcast with Bobby Lee is incredibaly funny), Dave Chapelle, Mark Normand, Theo Von, Shane Gillis, Andrew Shultz (I like to see his interactions with Joe via clips for the most part)... Maybe Im missing some but they would very few. The other 80% I and most of the viewer (according to commentary) really dont find that amusing. For example Donelle Rowlings is great when giving old Chapelle Show war stories but the rest of the interview is really hard to follow and/or keep intrested in IMHO. Cheers!
Only that joe has way more anxiety, prejudices and less fun.
Hearing the last Protect our Parcs was PAINFUL. He could not have a good time for 5 minutes before spewing some poltical bullshit or doomsday theory. And then he always complains that everything is political.

And also a great lesson on help people because they are in need of help and if you help people with the expectation of anything You are in need of help in understanding the fact that you’re naive to think that people are required to live up to your expectations and not expect to be disappointed by your own expectations

Didn’t Mel Gibson cover RDJ’s bond until he got back into the biz?
I have always assumed Mel was his AA sponsor
i think his refering to insurance, actors, even if they are not working in an action and stunt heavy movie, even if its sitting down and talking to the camera they need insurance. RDJ's back in the day insurances premium must have been next to impossible to cover because of that wild wild behaviour of his. If what Terrances says is true that is crappy move on RDJ. Hope not.
I remember that even for Jacky Chan it was hard to film American based movies because when the insurance company saw the main lead running down the side of a skyscraper IRL they do the math and the money to cover expenses, avoid lawsuits and fight lawsuits and payoff productio. in case he died is veeeery high. Thats why Jackie Chans stunts were greatly "toned" down in comparison to his Hong Kong only movie days. In the case of RDJ because of substance abuse he could have died in the middle of filming. No insurnace company would have taken the risk to insure him unless the studio put up a huge premium.
Gibson was doing a film called the Sleeping Detective which he was producing. Realizing that RDJ was being black balled by the industry. He cast RDJ as the lead which was originally his character and took a supporting role in the film. He was hoping this would help open doors for RDJ by people seeing he was clean and still a great actor.
@@jokerz7936 RDJ was in a spiral going no where. He was lucky to have Mel in his life, he could have died. He got so many oportunities
When I was a lad he was on Ally Mcbeal and he was great on that show, they brought him back for the last season, despite getting. fired for substance abuse in previous seasons. He was that good.
I remember Chuck Lorre complaining about Charlie Sheen. Charlie was always professional and did his job and didnt partake in illegal activities, just weird and crazy but not illegal. RDJ was making crack in the microwave of 05 Star hotel suites with hookers/drugaddicts. Chuck Lorre made one of the most succesful comedies in history if he had been working with that RDJ Two and a Half Men would have never gotten to a second season. It took the cast of Friends 10 years to 01million per episode and Charlie Sheen did that at about season 3 or 4.

Howard experienced what most good natured people experienced. He was willing to go to bat for someone he considered good because it made him feel good, because he felt like he was establishing a relationship, etc. He was probably a guy who valued help, remembered if someone went to bat for him and repaid it. And then one day, he needed that person to help him out, repay that gesture. And they just don't and not only that, they completely ignore him and shun him as soon as he starts acting out. Because they don't care to repay, or don't care to repay this, or whatever.
Downey was making less, he didn't want Howard to make more...he didn't want to jeopardize his relationship with the studio as this was big for him, or he just didn't care. Or there is more to the story.
Basically, the lesson I Iearned this exact hard way too - don't expect anyone to return a favor, just because you pay attention to such stuff and repay it. And if you are afraid of getting burned, just keep your feelings to yourself and don't stick your nose where it shouldnt be. It wasn't Howard's job to help Downey, if they werent good friends.

I don't have an opinion on this shit, that's not my business. I'm a superhero movie fanatic, not a gossip columnist. But Terrence Howard had more chemistry with RDJ in Iron Man than Don Cheedle ever did as the character. Howard just has a charisma that made Rhoadey interesting to me. This is just my opinion on the characters in the movie.
And I strongly feel if things had worked out, Terrence Howard would've made Rhoadey a major player instead of a side character. That's the impression I had of him in the first Iron Man. I actually felt like he could hang with Tony Stark when it was him.
I like how Kat and Terrence know everything. That's so cool.
I'd like to hear RDJ's side of the story here because it's very difficult for me to believe after all I've read and seen that he would do Terence like that.
Downey didn't need help to get insured by Marvel. He had just done Zodiac, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Good Night and Good Luck, the Shaggy Dog, and about 4 other films before Marvel signed him. He signed on for Tropic Thunder before Iron Man finished shooting. Howard believes his own BS, but he's lying. Insurance wasn't the obstacle to Marvel hiring RDJ, it was their not trusting his sobriety.
Terrence Howard discovered the unified field theory in a cave with a box of scraps
"They were calling me crazy and it wasn't taken in a complimentary way"
- said while he slightly maniacally plays with a toy puzzle thing
When you do something nice for someone else, it doesn’t mean that they owe you, especially if they didn’t ask for the thing. We’d do well to remember that
Based
He sent his wife to ask him and put down $1m for RDJ
If somebody do u a solid and u see the same person needing help and u look the other way, u not a real man
We live in the real world if someone looks out for you you do the same thing in return. That’s what Humanity & integrity is all about. Terrance literally made that man’s career. If it wasn’t for him dude would probably still be getting in trouble & going to jail. He wouldn’t be able to take care of his family or anything. He made him the $300 Million Dollar man that we see today. He definitely owed that man the same energy he gave to him
Technically it doesn't mean they owe you. You're right. If you do things for others intending to get a return, you're setting yourself up to be let down. Not the vibe I get from Terrence Howard.
Now, if you do something for someone else and they have an opportunity to return that favor later in life, and they choose not to, it means they have no integrity - or very little of it. It is behavior I would attribute to cowards. RDJ didn't owe Terrence anything. But on general principle alone, he should have at least helped a peer in his industry when they needed it.
I mean, RDJ would be nothing had several people not reached down and picked him up out of the gutters. The world lacks brave men who believe in values greater than themselves or money. If you have a price for your integrity or if you self preserve at the expense of others, you are the epitome of what is eroding this country. .and world. Real men stand up for that which is just and fair. The USAF has 3 core values that literally changed my life. Integrity first, service before self and honor in all we do.
Live by those core values and you will see your life transform for the better- and that is how we transform the world - one individual at a time. If this generation adopted those values, my kids would likely grow up in a better world. Instead, I fear my child will never know anything but slavery to a financial system that isn't even trying to hide it's intentions anymore. If you think life is unaffordable now, imagine what they will suffer through. How large will their gap between earnings and costs be? I was a huge RDJ fan because of his comeback story that is very much inspirational to those of us prone to learn things the hard way. But like many people, the more one earns, the greater their disconnect empathetically to those struggling to survive.
When everyone's pushing you away, it's always everyone else's fault.
What? I heard even RDJ and captain america got paid less than a million in their first marvel movie.
Hemsworth got paid $ 800,000 for either the first Thor or the Avengers movie.
Downey's upfront for Iron Man was $500,000
Wasn't Howard pushed out of Iron Man 2 because he wanted about as much as Downy Jr. for it? Honestly, he was lucky to even get to be in the first Iron Man. Such hubris.
Exactly, guys delusional, sick.
True but there’s more to it. Howard mentioned that he was supposed to be the main character in later Ironman movies. More background, Robert DJ was a high risk at the time of the first Ironman due to his drug problems so, Howard was paid more than RDJ in Ironman. But RDJ was excellent in Ironman and the studio had a new star, RDJ, for the next IM movies.
The studio now wanted to change the next Ironman films with RDJ as the star and Warmachine as a sidekick. As Howard mentioned, the studio asked him to take a pay cut from $8 million for one movie to $1 million per film. Howard’s agent told the studio to F off. At the same time Howard had a woman who was blackmailing him with abuse charges creating photos of her allegedly being beat up by Howard.
Howard then called RDJ several times asking him to fix all of this. RDJ didn’t have that power to control the studio about Ironman especially then when he had just gotten his drug use under control.
The studio got Don Cheadle for the money they wanted to pay and also didn’t have to deal with Howard’s ex girlfriend making abuse allegations.
You obviously didn’t listen to the full clip. The original deal he signed was for 8 million for the sequel and they later wanted him to just take 1million

@@Exile559 Nahh you have misunderstood his interpretations. The point he was trying to make was that numbers 1 and 0 should not be included in the multiplication table itself..because as the name 'multiply' implies, that something is increasing, whereas when you "mulitply" any number with 0 it becomes 0 and with 1, it becomes the number itself. So if nothing gets multiplied, then why include them.

The thing is when u help someone should be out of the kindness of your heart you should never expect anything back.
Sounds like he didn't expect it back when he did it. However when he ended up needing it he figured it could be reciprocated
@@swift1sg I just said that
@@Currygoatpapi what you said implied he did it because he expected to get it back. That's not what I said
Expecting to be get a favor back later from a good deed means what it means
Why can't we expect reciprocity? Shut up b
Good Riddance.
This guy is an absolute clown. Still crying about RDJ all these years later when his inflated ego made him think he deserved more money for a subpar performance as a supporting actor
If he's an absolute clown, what does that make you?

Bc he has CLEAR signs of schizophrenia lol

Cus it be hard out here for a “Pwimp” 😅
Terrence Howard is the embodiment of "say no to drugs"
yeah God forbid you end up as successful as Terence Howard, didn't he get invited to lecture at Oxford? Must be a crazy dummy....

Dudes been maintaining dead sea levels of salt now for a decade.
Time to move on guy.
I dated a Chinese woman, communist?, who became a Canadian citizen. After 10 years, she psyched out. I learned, a bit late, she was a jezebel. What a life lesson. I feel for Terence.
You may have their back....but they don't have yours.
You do know that he's peddling bullshit as usual right?
Always the victims. Next time hire a agent who isn't a liability
He’s not salty about it either. The movie industry is just wild.
Oh he was very salty for a very long time. Watch his Bravo interview.
Because his story is likely to be BS.
I swear if JRE becomes the new Club Shay Shay in terms of "blacklisted" celebrities having their voices heard!
Ya damn right Terrance Howard should've been the real War Machine!!
Oh please, everyone on set said he was impossible to work with, and he had no part in RDJ getting the part. Talk about someone with an inflated opinion of himself. He needs to humble himself to the rest of the world, he refuses to believe he is ever at fault.
Hes crazy as ful. Is this schizophrenia?
Probably. There's something off about him
100% Schizophrenia. Have an old friend who started talking like this and was diagnosed a couple of years later.
Wasn’t this man not rehired cuz he asked for a ridiculous amount of money that not even Downey (protagonist) was making?
What is he playing with ?

When was the last time you were on JRE or spoke at Oxford? Just curious…
@@drivewithbishop4426when were YOU on? Lol.
By your logic, your opinion is equally invalid.
Guy's CLEARLY crazy.
Btw, he was invited to Oxford (probably for some diversity reason) to speak about ACTING. He admits himself, he later hijacked his own speech and went off into Looney Tunes territory.
