The New hoyt VTM 31 up against the Elite Omnia was honestly something I wasnt fully expecting! I went in totally open minded really trying to decide which one was just a little better then the other.
No matter what my opinion is about the bows I always encourage you to shoot them for yourself to see how they feel in your hand! The beauty of archery is that there is so many bows to choose from and multiple styles so there is always bound to be a bow that fits you perfectly!

Those were my top two aluminum bow choices this year. Ended up going with the Omnia mostly due to the increased adjustability and tune ability and have been loving it but both are really solid bows!
Gotta try the comfort mod on the omnia man, it’s a totally different feel. Takes it from a Ferrari to a Mercedes!
Glad the comparison vids are back! I shot most the flagships this year and they all felt pretty darn good IMO. It was tough but I went with the Mathews phase 4. Just felt the best for me but like I said they all felt pretty good. The prime revex was most surprising on how much I liked it. Keep grinding 💪
Heck yes! Thanks for your support! Stoked you got a phase 4! I’m excited to give that one a few more shots!!
Every time I see bow reviews, it seems like the shooter is always bias to the brand they shoot. He clearly grouped the shots better with the omnia but becuz he shoots hoyt and all I’ve seen him shoot is Hoyt, his bias always goes to a hoyt bow. To say the hoyt was more comfortable maybe be true but let’s be honest, all bows now has little to no recoil, and especially nothing that will hurt your hand from shooting all day long. You will most likely stop shooting because you’re tired of pulling your bow back before being tired from a bows vibration after shooting it. I just want to find a channel that does a bow review based off categories of weight of bow, “draw cycle feel”, tuning ability, grouping of arrows, back wall tension/let off, cost, and speed of bow. I’m sure there is a few more categories I could’ve added but here is a few. Also it should be a point system, and the one with the highest points, win. I think u cannot eliminate bias but this can give a more convincing argument why one bow is better than another.
Couldn’t agree more, I base my reviews off of what feels best to me. But I always encourage for you to shoot what’s most comfortable to you. That omnia was incredible, I have nothing bad to say about it, the Hoyt just felt a little better. That being said, yes I shoot a Hoyt so i do say my hand and my shot performance feels more at home with a Hoyt. I try to give my most honest review and thoughts being unbiased. I have 0 loyalty to any bow company, hoping to find a new bow to shoot this year!
That is why the reviews are a good resource but if one relies on them to just buy a bow that's on them not the person posting reviews because any decent shop will straight out tell you shoot everything and let the bow pick you. Right now I say martin is the better bow and over all I still believe my old Hoyt alphamaxes are the best bow I have shot to this day this but you would probably tell me different I bet.
I said the exact same thing...👍🏼
So true mate!Omnia is so much technically advanced compared with VTM and that would be enought to win!
I shoot the Omnia and it’s the best shooting bow I have ever shot. You can purchase the comfort mods that will eliminate that “dump” in the draw cycle that comes with using the performance mods that come standard with the Omnia.
Huge omnia fan, bow is Incredibly smooth and shoots wicked fast, i run easton axis 4mm arrows, tuned in literally 3 shots, 490 grains, and i have it sighted in at 125 yards, if that lets you know how fast its shooting, elite knows what they are doing. Iv owned both bows elite all the way.
Ended uo trading that hoyt in for an omnia after i bought the hoyt felt like i made a mistake after shooting elite.
Nice bows.. Deff don't get silly tossing the Good ol-RX7Ultra a way yet!! Nothing wrong with another new addition to the coll.
Glad your back!
Would like to see you compare the 31 to the 34
That will for sure happen👊🏽
As a hunting bow, all I truly care about is accuracy. I know what one I would go with.
You keep on talking about the Elite "Dumping" into the back wall. Ahhh... **Change the "LETOFF"** 🙄 .
I mean, why do I even have to tell you this ??
My Word
he’s back and let’s hope he is here to stay
Right!?😅 I’m sorry guys for my absence!
Omnia with smooth mods is way smoother than my Ventum 22 Pro, with less dump and a lot less vibe.
Good to see you back, I'm guessing the Omnia is using the Performance mod, any chance you could do a review with the Comfort mod... Thanks for sharing...
Does the Omnia have that option!? I wasn’t aware of that! I’ll have to for sure do some more testing if that’s the case👊🏽
@@HaxenHunt Sorry got it mix up, its the Verdict and Era that have the Performance and Comfort mods. I must be having one of those days nothing is going right roll on the weekend...
Omnia does too, smooth mod
@@robertwest196 Cheers Robert...
Yes. The comfort mods are additional purchase as the Omnia comes standard with Performance. I own the Omnia and have considered purchasing the comfort mods just to have them in case I want to change them out at a later time.
Elite all the way
I’m going with the versus or the omnia bc of all the other tune abilities the elite has, but I have always been a Hoyt fan but it’s time for a change and elite will be my choice
the Omnia would have smoked it in the speed test and would have justified the draw
How are you liking that Scott Verge release? I have one and so far really like it.
Unless he's got it on a tru fire strap, that ain't no Scott
The chrono would definitely help frame the comparison a little more. The Omnia comes with Elite’s “performance/speed” mod. The “standard/comfort” mod would clean up the draw cycle and dump a bit more, but slow the arrow a few fps. If the Omnia was faster to begin with, that might also reset the comparison. The SET technology and “1%” let-off adjustments are really significant. Go shoot them both y’all.
Hope they have the string rubbing issue remedied on the Omnia. Really want to like it.
What was the issue?
@@Bluesplayer789 Elite is aware and I am told make sure they don't rub from the factory, but even if it does, it's fixable without any parts. (Mine was an outlier, but swapping the bottom limbs left-right made a world of difference).
They fixed it. Had the shims on backwards
Cool video, was trying to figure out the release you’re using. What make and model is that?
Tru fire chicken wing! There should be a link to it in the description
There was thanks.
There was thanks.
I think its a fair enough review. Obviously he leans towards Hoyt and that’s his preferred brand. But at least he showed where the Omnia shot better group. Could have easily kept that out of the video.
Good review! Looks like elite is copying Hoyt with the stubby stabilizer.
Was the elite on 80-85% ish? That shortens the valley and feels less dump-y
Elites come set at 90%.
Maybe try a pse Mach 4 like to see your thoughts on that .
Yes I need to get my hands on one!
Maybe I missed it but did you mention whether the Omnia had the speed or comfort mod on? That harsh dump in the back wall makes me think speed mods. Good comparison though. I'm betting the Omnia shoots faster had you had a chronograph.
It's performance by default, the dump is worst at 90% (which it is set to by default) The dump gets better the less let-off you set it at.
You are correct. It looks like he was shooting the Omnia with the Performance Mods as compared if he were shooting the Omnia with the comfort mods
I’m a HOYT guy but choose the Elite? All feels…. Every company makes nice bows these days. I would never own a Bear product cause had a BR33 with bent riser they wouldn’t warranty! Bear would never own again
No reason to do a spoed test man, omnia wins
I left the RX7 for the Omnia- way more technology. It is a little harsher on the draw cycle but the Omnia is a speed bow. However it’s a great year to buy a bow- HOYT, Mathews, Elite and Prime put some winners out.
You missed a few. Pse Fortis, Athens elevate, bowtech ss34. The bows now a days are all good
Cant really go wrong with any flagship these days. Even the Darton and Obsession flagships are a pleasure to shoot. I went with an EnVision this fall before the new bows dropped....got a GREAT price on it and couldnt pass it up. I am on the fence for an SS34 as well.....
I’m sure, I wasn’t able to shoot others due to no stock. Originally I was after the SS34
@@fastcamo I did forget about darton. I heard the two bows they came out with are great also. My local shop is the same. There small and don't stock many to shoot.
Man I was wondering why I haven't seen you in a while.
Time for season 3💪🏽
Hoyt seems noisier during the draw. Maybe it was your shoulder I was hearing.
what did the limb tips angles look like on the Omnia at static, where there a noticeable angle, the bottom being really bad?
Sounds like a mathews shooter ever mathews bow is better than all the bows out there 🤔
Lmao. Forget the results down range folks. That means nothing. Stay tuned for more fanboy reviews.
The elite has a problem wt the control cable rubbing the top cam.
I own the omnia and i do not have this issue, i actually had this issue witht he hoyt ironically enough
Elite have corrected the issue now, the shims were put in on the wrong side on the pre ordered batch
All elite omnias going forward of that are all micky mouse
These things can happen a mass production 🤙
Definitely a Hoyt fan reviewing a Hoyt against something not a Hoyt. Just my opinion but I think if you’re reviewing two bows you should review two that aren’t your brand or two bows within your brand.
I don’t have a brand… I shoot a new bow almost every year haha everyone always gets so defensive of the losing bow if it’s one they like lol. One day I’m a Bowtech fanboy, and the next I’m a mathews, and the next im a Hoyt. If I like something more than the other I’ll be honest and tell ya lol. Go watch the last 2 I did with Hoyt’s😂. Cause in those I’m probably a mathews and Bowtech fanboy🤷🏼♂️ just my opinion lol
@@HaxenHuntI’m not being defensive. I don’t have a bow I’m a fan of. I shoot a 2005 reflex and I’m watching reviews trying to get an idea of what I want to buy. You said right off you have an RX7 so… you shoot a Hoyt. You’re obviously going to lean towards a Hoyt because you’re familiar with it. All I’m suggesting is to not review a bow against the brand of bow you shoot.
Just some constructive criticism. No offense intended.
I appreciate it! Sorry I read it with a different demeanor haha
I get what you’re saying for sure! And I appreciate the constructive criticism!
My apologies! I typically get so many people calling me a fan boy of something and I find it funny😂
Appreciate your support!
@@HaxenHunt I can see how my comment could be read that way. Makes it easy to take something differently than intended without hearing the tone in someone’s voice.
Pretty dumb, elite shot tighter is faster you said more forgiving and you picked the hoyt, I think that is the definition of fan boy
No doubt a fan of what feels best in my hand. Beauty of archery is there’s a bow or a fan club fur everyone 😘
You like what you like guy. I was a Bear fan for 15yrs. Its all I shot. I decided it was time to upgrade.....shot Elite, Bowtech, Matthews, PSE, Hoyt, & Bear flagships. I went with the Elite, it felt the best to me even though it was the slowest. It held best for me and I just liked it.
Elite sucks. at least there 2023 bows do. Both have cable rub problems and cam lean problems you have to get fixed before it's shootable. Shootability my ass. Buy a PSE mathews or hoyt and save a headache
Sounds like someone has no clue how to tune a bow?
Is that what someone told you?
I have an omnia iv also had that hoyt (omnia all the way) 0 tuning issues 0 rubbing issues, and iv owned several of all brands elite is the movee.
There is no vibration in the elite at all. I choose the elite omnia over Hoyt any day of the week. That’s just my opinion, but I also think Hoyt is garbage anymore . Their bows are ugly . Again my opinion.
