Minerva is so good for culture victory. It’s so hard to theme buildings, you have to get so lucky with Archeological digs, and getting great people and works to match is so dumb without spies.
Martin Hall, if you have god tier memory of where and when major battles took place, you will have an easier time theming your archeological museums. If that is too hard for you, it is good to assume that antiquity sites near capitals are ancient era between barbarians and a given leader.
Charles Vattimo yeah memory is helpful, but you also run into the issue of getting a relic that doesn’t let you pick between one of two. So it’s fully possible to theme archeological museums, but it’s just such a pain to roll the RNG and hope you get the correct works you need for the theme bonus.
i know im randomly asking but does anybody know a method to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot the account password. I love any tips you can offer me.
@Merrick Thomas I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Carolean's with Logistics that havent moved in home territory can have +12 CS. As a great man said quote: 'really good'. P.S. Open Air Museum's true benefit is that it gives tourism even before Flight.
What's the point of tourism early to mid game? I've been ramping up tourist stuff with wonders and whatnot, and then really 'turning on the juice' when I get to a certain point to win tourism. Not sure if that's the best way to do it, but I couldn't figure out why early tourism was helpful.
@@Wargasmo Cause it ramps up over time. +2 tourism in the classical era isint much. But turn by turn by turn you've accumulated so much that you can swamp other people. Get enough tourism early on and you can hit the tourist criteria for a culture victory when its still a low threshhold.
In theory the carolean can get +21 combat strenght from unused movement alone: 3 base movement + Redeploy (promotion) + Logistics + great general + supply convoy. Add the +5 CS from great general and you have a 81 CS Caroloan^^
Love the running joke but the reason a lot of ppl are miffed about your saying she’s ugly are because she was born somewhat disfigured and it’s a huge motivating part in her behavior in life.
Just played a random civ game to try and get back into things and ended up with Sweden... I had no idea what any of these bonuses were or how to use them but it seems I accidentally utilised them perfectly. I was at the bottom of the scoreboard (out of 8) for most of the game, but once we hit the modern era all the great works and archaeology artefacts I collected went together with all of this tourism I built up and I shot up to a cultural victory SO QUICKLY.(And completely by accident!) I was also able to game the noble prize competitions so I was becoming a diplomatic powerhouse! It was a really fun pacifist game run! Reminded me how to play the game and how the different systems and mechanics work. Thanks for the video as now I have a better understanding of what these bonuses did and how they helped!
Being able to theme great writings in wonders like the great library early is a huge boost to your total tourism output. Add city spam and the open air museum, Sweden is ridiculously good for culture
It was her whole thing to not look ladylike. Since women’s clothing were much more complicated back in the day along with hairstyling and etc, she preferred simple trousers and messy hair so she can spend more time on her literature.
I always put sweden in the game and hope that I find her first. She's really good for trading diplomatic points so I can get more money but if I don't find her first she'd either die or have horrible economy because she keeps getting bullied. I'm honestly so tired of protecting her to get money.
Grand Master's Chapel Saxy. I never build the Foreign Ministry unless I'm playing Hungary or Sumeria (or maybe Greece under Pericles). Usually I run intelligence agency, but I find faith buying units and getting extra faith from pillaging a much better value than being able to levy City-States, especially in the late game where the cost is insane and their units are underdeveloped. If I get blocked out of a religion or I have piss poor faith generation, 99/100 times I'll go intelligence agency.
I tried to win a Culture Victory for Sweden, but I didn't. I've won a Diplomatic Victory instead. Also, I denounced any Civilizations for stealing Wonders, building Theater Square districts, and Temple buildings to purchase Apostles, Inquisitors, and Gurus. Maori's unique building is acceptable, so I gave Kupe a last chance before I denounced him for building a Temple. Plus, I didn't make any friendship with other Civilizations.
@@charlesvattimo4674No, but Kristina's unique agenda is to collect as many Great Works as possible without letting any other Civilizations with many great works. I should've chose a Protestantism Religion, but I chose to build a Campus district first at the capital city of Stockholm to build Great Library and Oxford University Wonders.
Way underrating her in domination. The Caroleans are brutal and her culture bumps can get her corps and armies very quickly. She's easily B but might even be A in Dom. Just my opinion though.
@@OneAndOnlyStormy AI is hard to judge. I've seen Monty and Shaka dominated in the past. The Caroleans are pretty badass in human hands. There's a thread about it on civfanatics.
If you have ANY pull at civ, can you ask them to add Carolus Rex as an alt leader for Sweden? Dude merc'd 3 countries who ganged up on him in 5 years when he assumed the throne at only 15 years old, and he actually travelled with his army
*Divine Spark intensifies*

Kristina is the Weird Al of the Enlightenment
There are so many comments here about her appearance, but I don't see any of them commenting on the male leaders.
The Oracle and Pingala really makes hording all the great people with her very easy
Minerva of the North is also incredible early game. Get the Apadana and Great Library and you'll be swimming in tourism!

where did you get this information?
Shes cute🤷♂️
@@GamboStank I mean it’s pretty much common knowledge Kristina was born somewhat disfigured and eschewed traditional feminine roles because of it.

So, going by your phrasing on the diplomatic score, Teddy and Laurier are your only S-tier diplomacy civs?

My trouble with culture victory is lacking the great work slots, My cities are flooded with great pepole in the late game
"...In all her hideous glory " ... dude, that got all my office mates lokoing at me laughing like an idiot
Back to work!
Don't call her hideous. She's actually adorable.
It was her whole thing to not look ladylike. Since women’s clothing were much more complicated back in the day along with hairstyling and etc, she preferred simple trousers and messy hair so she can spend more time on her literature.
Sweden is amazing, if played by a human, but otherwise Sweden or more accuratly Kristina sucks.

I wanted Domination Sweden under Karl XII. I did get Caroleans though!
Same crazy they went whit Kristina

Exactly. For the intellectually inclined

C=Crappy?
D=Detestable?
F=Failed, or Fucked up?

I'm wondering what your Matthias review will be like...
It was going to be really good. Now that Hungary has been nerfed I'll have to try them out again to see if they're still really strong.
what leaders does he list as S tier for culture?
To me, Kristina is a more culturally based England before England lost their museum boosts.
