Having ear-gasms listening to that NSX. Love Spoon!
WOW, I didn't know Ichishima san raced too... Now I have an even higher respect!!! MAD PROPS TO SPOON AND ICHISHIMA SAN!!!!!!
He started racing first before tuning hondas. Yes i know its 12 years late
The owner of Spoon has been racing for a long time. He sets up all of the cars that Spoon builds. He's a pretty good driver. That said he's also not Keiichi Tsuchiya.
It's nice to see so many hard working team crew both from HK/Japan working to get the NSX fixed before race starts.
I feel like he actually is driving very well (keeping a good line) but when you get put in a track like this with such close walls and sharp corners its really hard to keep your shit together, it was just human error and we all suffer from it.
you prolly dont care at all but does anyone know of a way to log back into an Instagram account??
I was dumb lost my password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me.
@Reign Ray instablaster :)
@Baylor Tucker thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and I'm in the hacking process atm.
I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@Baylor Tucker It worked and I finally got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thank you so much you saved my ass :D
@Reign Ray you are welcome :D
Really cool little "behind the scenes" of them repairing the car.
Overall great race & gotta love the blue & yellow livery colors.
Awesome video!!!
Well done - great filming and racing footage. The best behind the scenes I have seen on the web period. MORE MORE MORE.
Racing was not born in the USA but we do love it
seeing Tatsuru Ichisima driving the Spoon Sports NSX-R GT at 1:20 is just amazing..
mad love and thumbs up to the CREW for making it happen. niiiice!!!
driven 100% balls out it would have placed 3rd easy on the overall rankings it look like he was .only using 65% of the tire potential.
preludeF20Bking - wait hold the fuck up kid....how the fuck can you tell he used 65% of the tires potential? That what I and everyone wants to know. Let me guess it when he slowed down on those sharp ass turns? Cause it didn't sound like he was at full throttle? Let us know.
wow, that old man is still alive! great driving!
That thing flies, good job Spoon, those guys know their Hondas.
@NSX86R Nsx was and still is pure win, nevah forget the honda legend.
Love this video ! Love Spoon Sports ! Fight to the end !
Excellent Editing
thos mechanics r great! did such a job in less than a day,
Thanks 4 sharing this vid!
IWould love to be at the Macau Grand Prix!
That was an amazing clip, Awesome racing!
I've always wanted that toda six throttle injection kit with 88mm trumpets
The power of teammate. It's amazing.
What amazed me was the fact that those guys fixed, replaced, and repainted all that shit in one night. Thats fuckin' teamwork!
Guia Circuit, totally no escape zone.
One of the most challenging place in the world.
He did a great Job. the owner of Spoon Sports. If he invited Keiichi Tsuchiya here. it will definitely place the NSX in 1st, 2nd or 3rd place. all I can say is Ichishima did a job well done.
my dream job working on nsx's for a living, nice
nice video ,great quality .
@NSX86R Hell yeah especially with its Mid engine lay out it was a special car indeed from Honda
loved it.. 3rd in class, 6th overall, great results, and during the vid, I felt a bit sorry for nsx, as it seemed so way behind all gtrs.. there... but wasnt that much..afterall..
great footage, made me wanna comover and race my civic :DDD just kiddin
pitty the nsx was an underrated supercar. despite its age it still damm sexy.
One of the front lights doesn't look like its meshing with the hood. I assume they weren't able to replace the lense?
not bad for a old guy. love spoon. I hate to say it but if a pro driver was in there it would have taken first but hey it's his company and he calls the shots. great video and race. two thumps up from California USA :)
CANYON KILLER
I used to test and race cars for Honda, I thinks he pro enough
He has racing history...
Lol at comments. People forget this guy has over 40 years of racing experience.
I heart spoon sports.
Yea ok there buddy. The driver of the car founded and created Spoon Sports. He knows his parts and the cars he drives. What did you own, make or create?
Trust me, this is definately not one of those 5 original NSX-R GT. Spoon had made an order from Honda in order to obtain those GT parts. And I believe Ichishima San is currently reproducing LHD NSX-R GT for US/Canada.
i think the driver is the chief of operations of spoon. other than that, this was a great video. kudos to gt.
btw s2000's official last year of production is today. NSX program officially canceled. s3000 has been canceled as well. acura's v8 research as been canceled. rear wheel drive acura's have been canceled. wtf.
now thats what i call a goddamn good workshop!!
agggh spooon i love u !!!
nice job !
I owned two NA1s before, it may not be the fastest car but the car really handles like a dream. Plus when you rev it, it sounds like a symphony. Even though GTR, Supra, RX7, 300ZX, 3000GTs are faster this car is still the best out of them all. GTRs are nice but the NSX looks better. The only downside is the parts are real expensive but it rarely breaks because Honda cars are very high in quality.
Couldn't agree more! Quick question, i know that there were only 5 NSX-R GTs ever made. Does spoon own 2 of it??
LOL he looks like hes taking a liesurely drive through the country side while hes mashing down the track in a motorsports buzzbox, AWESOME!
thx spoon!
im fixing cars as my job and i know how much work it is to fix the damige , in 1 day is amazing .
and love that car ^^
SPOON FTW!
Damn it corners like a dream!
La gran escuela Spoon, que elegancia al modificar los hondas
MAnnnn!!! VTEC popping at : 5:07
NSXFERRARI.. which one are you going with? make up your mind.
What is the song that starts at 6:50!? so many auto shows use it at the end of their videos!
Japaneses always impress me with their teamwork
How do you get into racing those kind of races?
thanks for correcting me
@Veilside1000HP you do now a stock honda nsx's top speed is 160 right ?
Does someone know where can i get the whole video of this race??
Man that's a tight course....what racing series is that?
wish i had nsx parts at my disposal
badass man.
only if they had a better driver that car is so fast. Good job team spoon !!!!!!
the guy driving that nsx is the ceo of spoon.
Awesome
Ichishima san numba one!!!!!!!!!
great car but he was obviously holding up the field. That car looks like it hooks up real well out of the corners.
Anyone know where i can get that Spoon front bumper for my NSX? i looked online but couldnt find it anywhere
So many cars crashed...
poor NSX ohhhh.......
ตอนนี้มาอยู่ที่ โอ๊คคลับ เรียบร้อย
@BDesignCRX don't you know that the one's driving the NSX is mr.tatsuru ichisima? the owner of spoon company.
2:36 FOR THE FUCKING WIN!
that guys needs a raise!
Does anybody know if this race broadcast has been posted on here?
ouch, lift-off oversteer at 2:07
go Ichishima-san!
NSX-R GT is much better than Ferrari
@TheBladeofaDemon lol i see, well i found some NSX-R GT spoon front bumpers for $2,000 from route KS. thanks man
nice video, looks like its from the 80's tho.
legend
if i do ever get a honda im going to go with as many spoon parts as i can. im actually pondering the idea of a k20 powered miata... but that might be too much for my budget.
この時のエアロミラーを引き継ぎました。
id kill just to be on the race team... hehe
nsx r all the way..
Cant believe that the car is in the US now
@Redline2695 That's what the magazine states but I took my up to 171mph and it still kept on going, but I slowed down after that. The thing is after around 155mph the acceleration slows down a lot, took at least another 30+ seconds to get to 171mph. I didn't want to get thrown in jail and get my car impounded so I slowed down, not to mention I didn't want to die. So it was a surprise to me that magazine states 160mph but it clearly went above that. May car is bone stock, 91 NA1.
Not saying im better but i think the Ichishima's driving is way under the expectations for a racing driver's skill.
Luis Borges
Wtf were you expecting, high corner speed entries?
I couldn't agree with u more, ASC was just wrong to begin with. And Ichishima San has been racing in Japanese Super Taikui Series for quite sometimes now, I can say he's quite capable of driving any Honda car fast on track.
that's awesome
notice there were no Mugen in that race. Mugen/Spoon both overcharge for their performance parts. However I do love this car.
Yeah Never understood how NASCAR caught on. I prefer multiclass racing like ALMS or the way the new Speed World Challenge is. There is always excitement somewhere on the track.
Respect for HONDA
Ohh please tell Me that's in street trim,or spec, if so than that is realy cool, just to be able to go head to head with purpose built machine's and make that much of an impretion is just cool.
The car is quick. and missing the apex doesn't mean much, it's how you miss the apex...if you miss by understeering then it wasn't that bad.
Since all cars (including F3) are set up to understeering anyway.
anyway....he doesn't look too quick, but he isn't a professional...so no big deal. it's an unforgettable experience to be part of it.
and there's a big difference between decent time and good time in Macau.
yup youre right... my bad
LOVE this video. Can anyone identify the song at the beginning and end of the clip? It was also used for SidePodcast's f1 intro. It just screams, RACE!
the real one is white and in CA. It's turbocharged, the one they used against the Mine's R35 GTR. This one uses replica parts and is NA with 450 hp
whats that for songs in this video, soudns very interesting!
The NSX is all motor, and its up against EVO's STi's and Skylines
Damn! I was here 8 years ago
you know that driver is the founder of Spoon sports ?
What the hell, he jumped back on the throttle lmao. Old man, badddddddd
Cause they know exactly where each and every nut and washer go ;)
Ouch! Sucks all that was canceled.
Hope this economy gets back on its feet.
Would have been great to have a V8 Honda.
what music is that?
Anyone know the name of the song at 6:20?
Many thanks
@JackRABBITslim27 yep hes the owner and R&D
He went off the race line with his rear left i think, maybe on cold tires would be a good explanation. And on a street circuit without the level of grip like a grand prix circuit you will slide and crash in one go.
High speed and sharp turn ...
After this turn is 葡京彎,又係一個90度
After he crash , he plays safe ... acceleration is good at strict and flat road
