Manfrotto have an Alu-core that you use to go in each paper roll to prevent any bowe in the paper, you would however need to use a small wedge to brace between the alu-core and the inner of the paper roll.
I have been looking for that weight that you have attached to the bottom of the seamless paper to help it have some tension. Please let me know the name or where i can purchase it. It was the silver pole like device at the bottom edge of the paper. Thanks!
I like Mark's work very much, In fact ive being watching wayyyyy before adorama. Ive always had a grudge with adorama "product reviews". There more like a feature product than an actual review, unless all products are perfect these are products being features, not reviewed.
maybe attach the expand paper drives into a thinner cardboard pipe, that will then go inside the roll of paper then you wouldnt have that bowed on the paper. Just a suggesting. let me know if it works.

Why would someone click thumbs down on this video? I don't understand... Great video as always Mark!
It's $559.99 now as of Feb 2022. The price went up crazily in less than a year!

@Snakekilla12 I've added the product link in the description! The SKU for the one we reviewed is BG2961. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the great video Mark. I noticed that the blue paper roll in the video has bowed slightly. Any suggestions to address this issue? Thanks.
what did you use as a counter weight on the paper? Is that 1/2 electrical pipe?

These look great - Could they be used between walls (horizontally) as well as between the floor and ceiling (vertically) depending upon load?
you mad man
watching this 10 years later :)
Me interesa estoy empezando la fotografía
Isnt it with out a suport at the midle of the seamless paper it will end up being wobbling in a long period of time?
Would be helpfull with white rubber ends to the poles. The black leaves nasty marks in the cieling.
what are the metal type rods that clamp on the paper at the bottom?
In the background are 2 stands for curtains. Where do you get these from, or how can you make them yourself?
I have a slanted ceiling. Will I still be able to use this system?
Whats that tube/pipe thing on his Paper-Background? I need that! :(
Exactly what I was wondering.
It doesn't seem to maximize your available vertical height efficiently. How close can you get the circumference of 36' roll to the ceiling??
al final del video tienen 4 autopole para dar la altura?
Mark; i have 2 solid pro manfrotto light stands, how can i use them to achive the same goal for dropback? Thanks
@TomCampOH Cheap right?
if im using 10' cloth what pole should i use? metal is to heavy and pvc pipes sags in the middle.

Could u please let me know if i can use this with gypsum ceiling (it is solid surface, no panels)?

great tutorial
So why not just order it in Oz?
I just priced the set-up as £515 in the UK - twice as expensive as in the US!
Wow the price relayed changed. its about 400 dollars for the autopilers alone now.

I cancel my Order, because postage to Australia coast more than my Order.
Went to check the postage to Australia... It cost $600+... Sigh why does shipping have to be so expensive
Manfrodo?
the chains are garbage
$380? Not anymore, it's $500 now!?
Rafal Kontrym wau
Worth every penny, but are usually found cheap on Craigslist....
First comment :) You rock, Mark!

PVC works better and cheapet
Throwing the pole actually made you look kind of silly.
