- I'm either a great bargain shopper or the dumbest person on planet Earth. I purchased a 2002 Mercedes E320 Wagon at IAA for only $300. But there is some damage involved. In this video, I'll talk about front end body damage and how it's usually easy to repair. This may not be the case here! I'll also give you a walk around video showing you what works and what doesn't. A Mercedes W210 rebuild is possible, but there could be some major expense involved.
Be sure to leave a comment and let me know your thoughts. As always, please share and subscribe!!

Because you love the W210 so much. The waggon has one of the biggest trunk space in its class of its time.
Would love to see a video of you at the pick a part getting all the parts. Good stuff.
You got this Mike! Pulling that inner fender section out will be the biggest challenge, but doable!
I think you can fix this one up and make it look fine. She’s a Smashin’ Wagon. Good Luck Mike 👍🥇
Love it Mike! Always love the content! Can't wait to see you hit 100,000 subscribers! And folks in case you haven't like and subscribe and support this kind man! Blessings to you
Fingers crossed!
@@MonkeyWrenchMike Yes sir! My fingers are crossed and prayers going up for you 🙏
Keep her, she's a long one, interior is awesome. You called the name, Professor. Lola is just too cute.
Great idea! And Lola says hey!!
@@MonkeyWrenchMike as I’m scrolling through comments, I think I have to agree with Professor as the name!
agree. the professor
This one is actually worth the effort to fix, even if it takes some time to find a suitable “Cubanite silver” (a/k/a “beige”) donor car.
As for a name, I suggest “Jennings,” in honor of Donald Sutherland. His character in “Animal House” would have eventually had one of these wagons, probably after driving a Volvo Amazon until its wheels fell off.
I love both you're wagons Mike! The E320 is such a great looking car with so much trunk room. Wish cars like this were still made. Interesting color indeed as well. You should be able to fix that and maybe even do some straightening yourself. Name idea could be Francine. Look forward to more on this!
Couldn't agree more!
Hey Mike nice one, we had a lot of those in Finland. Mainly taxis etc. They go forever but rust was a big problem.
And most of them in Finland are / were Diesels.
Same with Opel , dont know wich one has the thinner steel 😂 cause borh of them rust😢
Mike the wagon whisperer!
Mike, you are to come out in better shape than you think. Just be patient and keep your eyes and ears open!!! Always the best!!
This is the first wagon you have had in a long time that didn't have critters under the hood. I am going to call it a win!
Awesome car!! I bought a 2002 E320 4matic wagon in LA and drove it back to Indiana. Cruised to 155mph across Texas. It glides. Super smooth. The Ex wrecked it. I miss that car… Good Luck Mike!!
I would call it the
Wolfgang Wagon,
since it was playing opera when you turned it on and it’s kinda fancy on the inside
Well, at least pull the fender and wheel liner. Radiator support obviously dead. Maybe there is still hope as long as the a pillar at that door hinge is not too bad. It looked pretty funky. Surprised the driver’s door aligns as well as it does.
Absolutely love this Mercedes S210. You scored on this one Mike, well done. Beautiful condition and is very fixable. Can't wait to see this series.
The leather is in excellent condition and would greatly benefit with some leather conditioner to keep it supple.
Go on Mike this is going to be great.
20 years ago I had several models of the w210 ....loved them so much ...mostly avant-garde v6 estates ...recently decided to buy a another one ...found a rust free mint 240 (2.6) avant -garde estate...final edition ...it’s my daily ....it’s awesome . Fix it it’s well worth saving , a rust free one is hard to find these days.
Best wood in years :) 5:43
that's a really well-maintained S210 in a great and unusual color combo, I really hope you can save this one!
FWIW - if there is power steering fluid leaking from under the PS pump, it's most likely coming from the o-ring where the reservoir connects to the pump. the reservoir also contains a built-in filter, so replacing that is a good idea in general. a new good quality Lemforder reservoir is only $17 at FCP Euro. it's held on by a horseshoe clip like the coolant temp sensor, and you know much fun those can be! but generally it's a pretty easy fix.
Great color combo on her Mike and looking forward to the upcoming repair videos.
Yo Mike!!! This is s keeper bro.. nice rims.. Macco fresh paint tint!!!! This should stay as the channel car!!!🎉
Solid buy Mike, I look forward to following along. I hope you fix it up enough to replace the Volvo wagon!
If you can get the parts at a decent price i feel you did really good, if it was me with that low of miles id fix it up and keep it!......nice score Mike cant wait to see you fix her up......Stay Up, Hard, and Healthy brother. Love the video's......🔥🔥🔥❤️👍🏽💯
Repair it if affordable, your right, it seems someone looked after it nicely.
Mike just put a blind fold on when you drive you'll never see the damage. 😀
Mikey, Its absolutely repairable ... body works ( most body shops can fix ) + power steering issue ( hopefully not a big one ).
Love this! That color is rare. I’ve only seen a few in all my years. The all weather mats and cargo mat is worth $$$$. I am looking for the oe cargo mat and some folks was $500 for a used one. Rear headrests shouldn’t be too hard. If the frame is not gone it will make a great car. Love mine!
Great stuff Mike. Love the wagons
Mike, you did awesome on this find. I own the same wagon in gold and love it! Very safe, comfortable and durable. Take care of it and it will take care of you. It’s worth the fix and you’ll be very pleased. I would buy this wagon again when the time comes. We named ours Gherkin.. being it’s profile resembles a German pickle 🤣 enjoy your channel btw 👍
She’s a beauty Mike! Worth keeping I think over the older wagon. Bit scary to look at but this will be a popular one! Favourite channel keep at it 😄 Cubanite silver was the colour of my w215 which I should have never sold. It’s up for sale again 2 miles from me, man I’m so tempted….
Claremore here Really looking forward to this rebuild, you can do it!!!!!
This will be a good project. Also, I love how all pet owners tell their pet how much of a good boy/girl they are at least once per day. I am equally as guilty.
Maybe you can get Vevor to sponsor you and send you one of those tiny frame machines? That would help you pull out some of the bent pieces so you can see exactly what you are working with.
I love that era W210, especially the wagons, should be a fun project.
Thanks!!
Congrats on buying a car worth saving. You got better since than Randy😂
What happened to that car to do that much damage! Either way if anyone can sort it you are the best man for the job Mike. Plus enjoyed the first wash
Considering some of your other projects this looks like a winner
It's probably a $3-3.5k fix professionally if you buy the parts and supply the body shop. Figure $400 per panel (bumper/fender/hood/door/blend) plus pulling the apron.
I predict this to be you daily driver within 2 months! Parts are easy to find - good buy imo!
She’s clean! Well worth fixing up even if you have to paint the new parts
I'm so happy to see you take this one on !!
Tried to warn you about keeping the Volvo. Glad you're back in Merc land. Looking forward to seeing it fixed
First of all, my apologies for just now subscribing to you. I like watching all yours and Randy’s vids. As for a name for this sweet wagon. Eyeeee Mateee. Btw, that is some nice wood. 😉😂
Thanks for being so “impressed!” Lol
As soon as I saw it on the truck I could see the inner fender was bent ahead of the strut tower. You need to see if the strut tower & chassis leg are bent before going any further. If the tower & leg are good, you could just pull out the inner fender, reshape it & call it good enough..
I think it was worth the money as a parts car, just not sure if its a viable rebuild project! Maybe look for another with superficial passenger side damage, or dead mechanically, & use this as a donor? Interesting the airbags didn't go off..
This might not be the video to ask, but you should do a review of the Lectric eBike. They have quite a few models to choose from and I think the XPeak is probably one of the best for off road biking. They also have foldable ones that can break down and fit into the back of an SUV.
Great buy Mike.. Teach Benzo and Lola how to drive it😊
Mike!!!!!! Nooooooo!!!!!! It's the worst Mercedes EVER!!!
No, well done, this is what it's all about! Interesting challenge! 😊
No cracks around pass airbag! And those makeup mirrors! Dang man!
Amazing how a clean damaged area looks less damaged.. two trips to the pull a part yard and you’ll be good to go..
I am shocked the bags didn’t blow. With the amount of the damage unless someone replaced them already
Loving the wagons. Keep it up!
I think you scored on this one, but it depends on what you find as you tear it down and purchase the parts. Hope it works well for you. Look forward to watching you work your magic. Call her “Benigon”- aka Benz-Wagon
It was a nice buy Mike 😎😎👍👍 You stole that Mercedes
It would be fun to watch you fix it!
Call your car Needy because it needs a lot of love. I had a 2003 C240 wagon that got totaled parked outside my condo.
Awesome deal for $300. You could tow with it and lots of room for car parts. Great job.
Great serie! Can’t wait to see the next episode! Keep up this good work! Greetings from Milan, Italy!
Milan??!! Very cool!
@@MonkeyWrenchMike sure! Happy to see your videos! Thank you for entertaining us!
That’s not going to as big a repair as you think Mike, strip it down and use a ratchet strap to pull out the damage and use something big as an anchor (the Jag springs to mind) then try to get parts in colour and hey presto some nice profit 🏴👍🏻
That would look so good with a carbon fiber hood and upgraded head lights. Maybe some sportier wheels.
I think it's going to be a good Car your probably going to need to take her to a Frame shop but after she will sell for a good profit, I think it's a sweet ride so I would name her Sugar 👍
Well Mike, at least it's not a W220
Nice find, you can totally fix this!
Pampered wagon 😂😂😂😅😅 not a bad buy hope you can find the parts for the old girl 😉
The fact that you have a favorite tow truck driver says a lot. 😁
I think that would make you a good reliable vehiclequal, especially if you can source the parts in that same color but I understand that is a huge if.!
Hmm, almost to nice to rip it apart but it would be the engine for the SLK (If it is still around). You can still always electrify it, maybe with a school mechanic class to make it their project..
Love it! Hope you get something like a Jeep sometime! Keep it up Mike we love to see it!
I love the W 210.They are higy Quality Cars and have plenty of room. i hab 2 of them and drove them for 600k Kilometers.Good Deal,Mike😀
I love it. Looks like a new daily once it’s done. Good name would be Brown Betty.
Hey Mike, I think the color of the car is a Champaign.
Good Price and it Runs even tho you said you can body parts and it moves on its own .
Lumpy could be a good name for the New Merc. Keep up the good work
That is a nice wagon, cool find for 300bucks!
Mike why not part it out? I am parting out a 2005 Jeep Grande Cherokee right now. Already have all my money back and still have about 6K in more parts to sell.
"Rodent repeller" is good name :)
With that fender, call it Crunchy Wagon!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA! Another great video, keep it up!!!!
If you decide against fixing it I’ll buy it! Thats in great shape
mostly a hood a fender and a door and u may be mostly back on the road for body then find some power steering stuff and drive it.
Love those 320s and the estate wagon is very cool…fix it !!!
Watching when you moved It the dash showed no oil pressure so I would be checking that out first. Still A nice car but It does need A good bit to get road worthy.
I would christen thee…Brunhilde!
Nice car Mike, but you will need a truck to pick up parts😮
Hey Mike .. 60% of that crapacedes aka the 1 eye monster is still good , ... that's what I'm naming your newest junker, the 1 eye monster.
Now this is the one for you Mike keep the benz
You will manage since you views will go viral on this repair. Make a some video's and you make your money. I have put my trust in you😊😊
Thank you, I will
Nice wagon Mike well worth the money you paid for it
Mike staring Wagon Train !
Hey Cousin!! I think you should call her Gretta cause she's got how dare you written all over her face!! lol
Haha!
Well I know you can fix it let hope it not too bad under the fender. Silver cougar because she is a little old but has a lot of class . But really the engine sounds great and you have other things that are good with it.
Great buy. Totally repairable Mike...
This is a nice classic waggon. I would fix it and keep it. The new Mercedes don't last long like they use to be.
Luv the W210! Silvia is her name!
Silver Siren is a good name love the E320 Wagon. Give Lola a hug and cookie for me MWM
Cool car! Just repair it and you ll love it!
If it was owned by a teenager it would be the Shagging wagon. But as you get older it's the abstinence wagon.
Hey Mike, the wagon looks like a (Abigail )
"They rodent proofed the car for me." They must have watched your earlier videos.
Exactly!!
Mike get it to Santa he can pull that bumper support out
I little pulling in the right angle and it will be fine and a little tapping of course
You should buy every model wagon ever made.
I’m trying!! Lol
