I think even 80 euro (2 tiny sheets) is crazy for this tiny bit of rubber.. Let alone 90,100,110,120,130,140 euro. But we buy it. I got donic coppa rubber 70 euro and victas rubber 72 euro.
This is the type of rubber that most developing/intermediate players should be playing I think. We don't need insane power we just need to put the ball on the table
Was delighted to see some cheaper rubbers being reviewed. Absolutely LOVE TTD. Just started playing after 34 yr hiatus, spent months in bed after spinal surgery, but Dan,your set up is amazing for a table tennis nut like me!! Truly love everything about the game, especially the equipment. TTD,just co era be lot. I’m only a club player but loving it even more. Could you test some Victas products.Started to use their kit. Fond regards. Leo - Aylesbury Bucks
Sometimes I think if the same rubber would be at a different price point - i.e. 65 Euro - the review and the opinion in the community about that rubber would be totally different. Than it would be a pro rubber ;-)
since 2 years a happy user, it is just a good idea to play it a bit less than half a year with regular training max. 4 month. For me it is actually really good for dangerous hard to block attack topspins.
You guys still haven't reviewed the Omega 7 Tour, which is being used by pro players like Calderano and Youngsik. And now there's Omega 7 Hyper as well. Maybe a direct comparison between O7H and O7T?
If company has a top of the line rubber @ this price & imagine how much quality, improvements company might have put on emphasise to make it best, then what else we want ? Seams like 💯 % give it a try to feel it. On top of all of if have such amazing, quality & in depth review by dear TOM & DAN it is heaven 😀. Thanks a lot guy for the upload of a demanding rubbers. Keep rocking your game.
The rubber is quite nice, but the greatest downside is the weight! 2.0 mm sponge and cut on a viscaria was over 50 Gramms. With maximum sponge even heavier. Compared to other lighter rubbers you could gain up to 15 Gramms, if you put the rubbers on both sides, which totally shifts the balance of the blade. Long story short: I tested them briefly and sold them asap. Not for me...
сегодня отыграл этой накладкой 3 часа - это просто шедевр за такие деньги, да и вообще не только по цене.... по запилу по подачам по контролю -короче лучшей резины как вега Х для меня не было (для моей игры)))
I use VEGA X Asia for 12 months and then swopped one side for ASIA Europe and really noticed the difference but how would those perform with different bat
Dear Dan and Tom, I appreciate your work and your channel - especially the new series of you guys playing. From a players standpoint I also appreciate the consistency in your game - it's really amazing! But unfortenately when it comes to your reviews, the concept seems questionable for me. It's still possible to find out the small differences of judgement of the rubbers and blades inbetween the pure advertisement you'll have to make because of your affiliate deals or what ever sorts of contracts you must have with the brands who would give you their material (and I really don't judge you for that! It is absolutely clear that you'll have to find a way to finance the channel and everything). But in this case it's just too obvious. Sorry guys, but it is really not nice that you have to rate down a Xiom rubber which is not settled in the totally overexaggerated price-span of a few "high-tech"-rubbers that are out there! From all I have read about this rubber it should be a very very good rubber totally comparable to the other products (in one german forum the guys are comparing it to dignics 80 both in speed and spin and some rate it even higher!). This rubber is claimed to be one of the best in terms of rotation with the plastic ball. I don't even play that rubber, so it's not about that. I just don't think that the price should play such a big role in your judgement. Xiom like Yasaka, Gewo and other brands just found a way to produce their equipment a bit cheaper (and as others already said here in the comments - the margin of a table tennis rubber is still incredible high - come on guys, except for the research and development sector you really do not have that high costs in putting together different sorts of rubbers and synthetic rubbers once the concept is clear). Apart from that: Keep up the work! I would still like to see a review of the Victas V>15 Extra which I am playing for like 2 years now! I think this rubber like Tibhar MX-P, Xiom Omega VII pro, Rakza 7 and a few others and maybe now Vega X as well are totally comparable to the Butterfly Tenergy and Dignics series regarding overall performance - all with slightly different approaches how to get to this performance (I mean like rotation-speed-ratio, control, catapult, height of ball trajectory and things like that). I'm interested what you'd say! Greetings!
Just heard Dan say “it’s hard to generate enough speed to get past your opponent”… he says this as he plays against Tom The Frog who is/was rank 11 in England last I heard!… I little bit of a tricky opponent to get anything past. 😂😜
well i give you a tip for sound purpose. both glues, water based and speed glue, are contact glues. that means they stick once completly dry. so, the water based sticks to the speed glue as good as using respective glues. to boost the sound of your bat, simply use the speed glue for the blade and one of water based on rubbers. not only it boosts the sound but it also ease the ungluing. the blade will not warp too. all wood blades tend to warp with water based glue after some time. carbon blades less, because the carbon layers provide rigidity which maintains the blade flatter for a longer time. in all cases, it's all good. no influence on the rubber. non detectable.
I really liked the rubber but the differences between batches are now too significant. As it seems, it is no longer safe to replace the worn-out rubber with a fresh one shortly before a tournament. Plus, Vega X from previous batches usually held up better and it was wearing out rather gradually, but the last two pieces I bought just turned into crap almost instantly after about 20-25 hours of use.
I don't know it's because of the new rubber or better physical condition, Dan looks much stronger in this video than before. He used to look like a weak woman who gently palces the ball onto the opponent's side of the table, but today he does not look like a weak woman that much.
Can someone help me with the selection of the correct table tennis racket / rubber? I played table tennis with cheap TT rackets from Amazon and they weren´t too bad, but after a few months they lost the grip and the ability to spin the ball. Is it worth it to buy more expensive rackets and rubbers?
Yes, go to your lokal tabletennis shop and Tell him your story, he will get you a blade around 70€ with good spin and power. For example this rubber would be too fast for you as you are still a beginner.
I play with EL-S on both sides but never tried vega x. what I can say about EL-S is that it doesn't feel like it workes great with the ABS\plastic balls and that my red sheet of rubber is falling apart with many holes and missing pieces on the edges and that's not from hitting the table or somthing of that nature but from regular use and it started only after a couple of practice sessions! very disapointing and I can't tell if I got a faulty one or that's just what everyone experiances. the black sheet of my EL-S on the other hand is holding up realy good without any of this falling apart issue. Reading some revies of the EL-S I found that more people are reporting durability issues and reporting about the issue with ABS balls.
To be honest your title is very biased. Many players will tell you technique is more important than the best rubbers. Rakza 7 is under 40 US dollars, xiom Asia tour is similar to price and is amazing. DHS neo is 25 US dollars. Theres tons of rubbers that non pros use and still win with
Neo hurricane 3 already. Since you know how all european rubbers feel, I as a guy who loves chinese rubbers but dont have a perfect technique would like to know if the switch would be worth it. You'd get thousands of views and the rubbers are cheap. Cmon now
Would you sacrifice a bit of speed and spin for a less expensive rubber? Who's tried the Vega X yet?
here in Brazil because of the conversion rate between our currencies , and other things some rubbers get crazy expensive
Have you tried thr omega 7 tour yet? Wondering how it performs compared to the omega 7 Pro
I think even 80 euro (2 tiny sheets) is crazy for this tiny bit of rubber.. Let alone 90,100,110,120,130,140 euro. But we buy it. I got donic coppa rubber 70 euro and victas rubber 72 euro.
Is this a good replacement for the yasaka on my backhand?
no u
This is the type of rubber that most developing/intermediate players should be playing I think. We don't need insane power we just need to put the ball on the table
To summarize in 4 words "Best value for price"

This rubber is absolutely phenomenal. Real fast and spinny, I play this on a off- wood blade and it's just great
better than hurricane 3?
@@luiz9729 I used both and I think that they are just different. I prefer Vega X on both FH and BH but it's personal preference
Tried rakza 7? Im thinking of either buying Vega x or rakza 7. Wich one should i buy?
@@d.j6607 I have only tried Rakza 7 a few times so I can't really say a lot about Rakza 7.
i love that rubber! really noticed the better control in blocks and topspin-topspin rallies!

Plese, do a Joola Rhyzer review... lot of players use it... Daniel Habesson, Adrien Mattenet...
also waiting for this one :-) especially the Pro 45/50 versions!
You guys still haven't reviewed the Omega 7 Tour, which is being used by pro players like Calderano and Youngsik. And now there's Omega 7 Hyper as well. Maybe a direct comparison between O7H and O7T?

Comparing it to Xiom Vega Pro in terms of sponge hardness which of the two is harder?????
When are you uploading about the ping pong championships?
Any rubber is great as long as you have talent and technique. 👍
Yeah thats why I play anti rubbers 😅 Nah joking ure right. Rubbers should either support your playstyle or counter flaws in playstyle.
Nah Bro Yasaka Mark V sucks on my Backhand
But there a limit to that and good rubber can improve ur gameplay
I'm pretty sure Messi wouldn't score any goals if he played without shoes

So what's the difference between this and the Vega pro?

Dan, i love your Backhand. So CRISP!
Great review as ever. Can you do a review on the Hurricane 3?
i played this and it felt phenomenal,
It's a brilliant rubber, I have gone from MXP Pro to this and actually prefer Vega X and it's cheaper.
The subtitles improved the video, very nice
The subtitles made Dan say "it wasn't easy to generate spin", which confused me lol

You are right, xiom vega x ten is a very good rubber, i play better with him as with tenergy 64.. you csn make much spin and speed with vega x ten!!!

I bought this rubber having watched this video and it was much faster than I expected. The speed is more than enough unless you are national level.
Loving the content dan👌
Apparently it's pronounced 'Axiom', not 'Ziom'. Great video, keep up the good work.
But you shouldn't forget that it makes a huge difference witch blade you use
Do a review on the Rakza series

Hi Dan! Do you have any recommendations for blades or rubbers for novice players on a budget? Thanks!
Yinhe mercury 2 on a Sanwei flextra,
it's mentioned dan was using a tb alc
I'm curious : what blade was tom using for this test?
Hybrid wood i think
Tried just today. It has top speed on very hard shots. Nothing special with winner shots. Tom cant block this all day really ;)
Pretty much the same price as Yasaka Rakza 7, which is what I've used for almost 2 years now.

@@janneshildebrandt1 thanks, I already have a good racket now 😊👍🏻
€38 is already expensive enough for a rubber. Production costs are probably around €5...so that makes this relatively more expensive than Nike shoes,
How does it comepare with Rasanter R47 (which also has a hardness of 47) but is more expansive? Which rubber do you think is better?
Hi dan can you tell us how can we add power on our forehand topspin

Can you tell where you buy these rubbers?
