  • Historic race cars and street machines everywhere! The Holley MoParty features a huge turnout of amazing Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth and AMC muscle cars, but my favorite thing are the historic drag cars, street machines and street racers that pack into Beech Bend Raceway Park for a weekend of fun. In this video, we'll take a look at SEVERAL of my favorite cars on the property. There were others that I covered in last year's video...feel free to check it out here when you have a chance: • HISTORIC Drag Cars & W...
    In this video, you'll see a REAL DEAL street racer from Chicago, a Mr. Norm's Dodge Coronet, a 1969 Dodge Charger 500 drag car, a 1969 Dodge Daytona with original paint, several street machines from all generations, and of course, historic drag cars like the Hurst Hemi Under Glass Barracuda, the Mopar Missile Plymouth Duster and more! This event always delivers when it comes to action...drag racing, autocross racing, and the burnout contest keep you running wide open all weekend long. Be sure to watch until the end to see the burnout contest, where Sleepderdude DOMINATES in his alcohol-burning AMC Gremlin.

      Yeah man, I would've loved to take a closer look. I typically photograph these events for magazines (I shot for Hemmings at Moparty), so my time to do video stuff is limited. Otherwise I would've tried a little harder to track you guys down. Maybe sometime we can get together for a photo and video shoot to tell the whole story.

    The thing about the Black Ghost, out. Of respect for that guy dad. It was a legend to his best freind and even his kid. It was a cool story and it belonged to a great man. I think his kid stretched the truth too much and his dad , on his deathbed said don't let anything happen to my car.the dad just loved his challenger. He never bragged so his kids a p.o.s. and his grandson will never enjoy it and Uncle Tony's pretty disrespectful for ruining the guys legacy.

    • @HotRodHoarder
      @HotRodHoarder  4 месяца назад

      I can see both sides of it, because my dad is my hero and I want people to know how cool he is. But from a journalist's perspective, I don't like it when a story gets stretched out of proportion. I've been an automotive writer for the past 17 years, and a RUclips story teller for several years. It's always my priority to tell an accurate story.

    The street racers here are getting out of hand, we've had several incidents and even some people injured here in Little Rock. You can drive down the city streets and see where they've been doing donuts. If you want to race, this is the place to do it.....not city streets. The Arkansas State Police have had their hands full chasing drivers down REGULARLY going over 150 down the interstate. Unfortunately there are no shows here and i think thats why they do it...but i could be wrong. Thanks for sharing!! And everybody stay safe!! 👍👍👍🛞💨

    • @HotRodHoarder
      @HotRodHoarder  8 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah, I've been hearing about these "takeovers" where people are doing donuts in intersections. Seems like an easy way to get hurt, based on the videos I've seen. Old school street racing had its dangers too, but at least the intention is to go straight and fast.

The flipper and speculator have ruined the hobby for everyone. So if someone read this and happen to have a nice affordable hobby, please gatekeep it from trust fund babies. They ruin everything they touch.
