Omar i have one cheap fragrance i picked up from zara which i really liked it is called spell caramel i dont know why exactly i like it but i think it is cause of the ginger note can you reccomed me some other frangrances that have ginger in them?
YSL L’Homme for something affordable, gorgeous scent, but not the best performer, otherwise Sospiro Vibrato as a niche choice

You guys should make a video explaining why age plays such a big role in realm of fragrances. I got to thinking about it and I feel like people who are new to the fragrance community should definitely understand it because understanding why it’s important can help you out A LOT. I used to work in this restaurant where mainly it was older folks coming in so I used cologne that people would say smelled “way too mature for me” but the older crowd loved it and it changed the experience they had in the restaurant. I’m odd bc I actually enjoy all age groups styles of perfumery but a 70 year old isn’t going to enjoy a 20 year olds fragrance just like a 20 year old isn’t going to enjoy a 70 year olds fragrance. It’s all about who you are targeting, not about how old you are necessarily.
End the whole “am I old enough for that fragrance” and replace it with “does this fragrance fit the age group I’m targeting” and I’m not saying go put on some of your grandpas cologne and rizz up some 70 year olds, I mean if you want to by all means do you but say you’re going in for this amazing job opportunity you have but you’re 20 and everyone else in that field is 40-60. Do you think walking in there smelling like a 20 year old is going to get you the same reaction as walking in there smelling like a 40-60 year old? You won’t because on one side you smell like their kids or grandkids and on the other side you smell like their peers. You want to be their peer in this scenario, do you understand?

Part of the reason I loved school of scent was your down to earth personality and calm demeanor and your unusual fragrance picks.

Can you please make a video on what happened to baccarat rouge 540 and why it does not perform anymore. Going nose blind is not the issue and this generic answer people get from MFK is ridiculous. I bought the 70ml direct from them and received a 5ml bottle a gift from them. The difference is outstanding. Spraying from the 5ml bottle the smell is divine and lingers for days. The 70ml bottle is like spraying straight up alcohol, no smell at all

If you like the smell of Y Le Parfum better than EDP and it fits a more mature wearer… and you’re picking fragrances to keep for the rest of your life… Wouldn’t that give Le Parfum the edge? I mean, ain’t none of us getting any younger. A more mature fragrance would fit the rest of your life better than a youthful fragrance, wouldn’t it?

I actually did just unsubscribe. I wish the best for school of scent but I didn’t subscribe to watch this guy or random people. I personally follow someone like curly fragrance for example because I learn her taste & how it differs from/ compliments my own. How are you gonna grow a channel where your opinion is the only provided value & then swap out your opinions for someone else’s. Idk.
It also feels like he dropped his fragrance line then decided to take a back seat & just collect the dough.

I understand that as you grow its not possible to do everything by yourself Omar, but this collaboration wasn't really doing it for me. If I wanted to hear what Finn had to say on fragrances I would subscribe to FBFragrances

@@SchoolofScent ✌️ quality should go up. Not down. And you don’t even care. To think I had your fragrances ready to order. More money to spend on people who care about the product the provide and the feedback they get about it.
I'm afraid I am a dissenting voice. My advice to Finn (for what it's worth) is to slow down, breathe, and maybe take one more step back from the camera. I will watch a couple more of these before I reach a final conclusion, but for me so far the difference in tone and the lesser depth of knowledge are a bit jarring, and don't really fit a channel that calls itself "School of Scent". Omar, maybe you should spin off a new channel if you want to include the young guns, or maybe make these videos a separate category that emphasizes the youth perspective. Sorry to be so negative.
