Something to add about the krieg heavy weapons it was mentioned that the fire coordinator would give fights on death to them. From the Warcom Article: He can also get them to crack off a last-ditch shot right before they perish. So maybe he dies last instead to give the fights on death.
Loved the Krieg stuff, they were one of the first things I learnt the past few months that I started seriously looking into wh40k and was bummed when I realized they didn't have proper representation in the tabletop. And of course, can't wait to see what will happen with Deathwatch, I am waiting to see if I will just paint my Cassius kill team for exhibition purposes or if I will kitbash them with intercessors to make them primaris looking and similar to the rest of my minis.
Never knew I could like an Eldar model so much to even consider starting an Eldar army haha. The new Warp Spyder Phoenix Lord is incredible! Along with the new warp spyders as well. I was not expecting GW to drop all of the Eldar this month. I figured they'd wait until the New Year on that one or at least trickle out reveals like they did the blood angels.
i think the death riders get all 3 weapons? we can see all 3 on one model. lascarbine is holstered on their right and sabre on the left. some of them with that are holding the lances
When I first saw the news, and seen you hadn't posted yet, I was immediately thinking "Someone wake the Aussie up! He has important stuff to be covering!"
Was hoping that the Warp Spider Phoenix Lord would have four Doctor Octopus arms with blades and guns on the end, but still, a 9/10 Aeldari release - though my opinion will probably change when the cost for each one releases, heh
I was there to checkout the Kill Team games when the stream came on (they had TVs setup in the room). Everyone was absolutely blown away by the Kreig reveals…tho some were less than enthused about more indirect fire. The tank detachment brought them around again tho.
My favourite character in all of 40k, finally updated. Holy shit. Thank Asuryan.... Also Lhykhys has to be one of the coolest models GW has made so far god damn. The detachments are almost exactly what I expected, though instead of the warhost I was expecting something with rangers in order to rep Alaitoc, and and 8th detachment for the corsairs. But close enough I guess.
Maybe 11th Ed will bring us a leader unit and vehicle to flesh them out the Corsairs a bit... and introduce the Exodites too... in a similar way the Arbites Exaction Squad, Breachers and Rogue Traders have added to the esoteric elements to the Imperium.
@@Cliffjumper24 Apparently there's an 8th detachment in the codex they didn't mention which might be centered around outcasts like Rangers and Corsairs, so there is still hope alaitoc rep. There's also the bonus detachments they're gonna be releasing this christmas so that's something to look forward to.
@@EngineerOfVaul I don't have to worry too much about specific craftworlds... I created my own, so I can pick whichever detachment fits whatever game I want to. I have two Combat Patrol Farseers, and a conversion of Eldrad for my boss Farseer, and 8 Warlocks... plus two Farseer Skyrunners and 5 Warlock Skyrunners... so the Ulthwe themed Detachment can be used. I have 25 Wraithguard/Blades plus three Spiritseers, so the Wraith Detachments is usuable too. But it'll be nice to see Craftworld specific players are well served!
Just a small correction - I believe the article said that the Ghosts of the Webway detachment is for harlequins, not a wraith host, it appears that there is no wraith host one as they have listed it! Great video as always!!
The article did mention there would be 8 detachments, but didn't list them all. I'm guessing they're doing something along the lines of one for each of the 5 big craftworlds, and then a quins, ynnari and allrounder one.
@@maxmagnus377 oh you guys might be right! I just see in the article it says “the Harlequins’ Ghosts of the Webway” so I assumed that detachment specifically was for Harlequins and not Wraith hosts
It’s worth pointing out there will be one detachment that’s likely not in the codex with the December detachment releases, it’s very possible that the wraith detachment will be aeldari one
The drone of the combat engineers has what is called an auger drive (scre-propelled vehicle), It's meant to cope with difficult terrain and is better and less prone to damage than treads.
8:57 it is actually a variant of the idea of threads, meant to cope with snow, mud and swamps better than any other means of propulsion. It may not have an ability to drill, but it is *really* slow on stable ground !
Man I hope the Mechanized Assault detachment is even close to reasonable. There is nothing I want more than to taxi a mass of troops up and down the battlefield in a Stormlord.
The Chaos Daemons detachments actually implies the Codex is going bye bye - why else would they release all of their detachments? It holds nothing back. It’s the last hurrah.
The 30k stuff is SICK. I love IG getting their well deserved attention. Seeing different types of detachments all with their own aesthetic would be amazing.
It's wild how good these updates are when the last round custodes got 1 model, with none coming from resin, ad Mech got 1 model, and necrons got 3 with a few that needed updates being left behind in resin/fine cast
I think the 4 daemon detachments point to the book indeed getting removed. You would think they'd save that for a codex if there was going to be one. These sound more like stuff if you want to keep playing daemons for the rest of the edition, while the mono god CSM's will incorporate daemons in them.
I feel like Death and Rough riders are a bit inverted in role. Shouldn't the not-mongols be light cav and the not-WW1 lancers be shock cavalry? Particularly in trench and siege warfare outrider cavalry doesn't seem that useful...
I wonder if the chaos gods are each getting a detachment specifically BECAUSE they're folding them in - they're getting ahead of the Deathwatch thing where they folded them in and then had to go back and make a detachment later
When the IG refresh came the year prior, i was envisioning enough heavy teams to try a "Voice ov Kings" artillery arrangement...glad i slacked off on THAT. Even MORE big guns now! 😮😮😮
They previewed 6 detachments but stated there are 8. Ghosts of the webway is the harlequin detachment. The other two are probably a stealthy detachment and Wraith constructs.
Valrak's hinted heavily at expansions for Corsairs, so perhaps the unrevealed detachments will a Wraith constructs + a Corsair detachment w/bonuses for Prince Yriel?
@@drunkenastarte5243 The other two are probably wraith constructs and Stealthy. The Stealthy one might also include corsairs for a "Path of the exile" type thing.
There’s also potentially a 9th one, the grotmas one probably isn’t in the codex so isn’t gonna be counted in the total… so could have the Corsair or wraith one be that one.
I was going to comment the same thing. Good catch! Assuming one is a stealthy detachment, I hope the rumors of Illic Nightspear getting cut aren't true.
Looks like my "The Damned" minis from Wargames Atlantic could pull double duty between "regular" units and Krieg ones. (Which, given I'm planning on giving them all gas masks, is only appropriate). Infantry, artillery, cavalry, and melee-focused Beastmen. (For those interested, as of this writing, the campaign is STILL accepting late pledges. Though we're getting near it closing, to coincide with backer fulfillment. So, pledge sooner rather than later if you want tons of cheap Guard proxies.)
I haven't played 40k really at all since 6th ed and already have too many armies and models but those new aspect models and phoenix lords particularly Baharroth and the Warp Spider Phoenic lord look so good, may have to get them, even just to paint.
Really happy with all the new Eldar models! So excited 😂 There isn't really much in the Eldar range that's desperate for an update now after this wave of models. I hope players of other factions now get the updates they hope for.
Looking forward to seeing what the new detachments do. I'm especially interested in what they are going to do with Votann, because while they work well right now, they only do so because of their current detachment rule. I wonder if they get a complete overhaul where the Oathband rule is somehow partly rolled into the army rule, can't imagine how they would make anything else work otherwise. To be fair though, they also need more datasheets for more detachments to really make sense. Still, I'm curious.
I'm so excited, krieg and the commisars are my favorite parts of the gaurd, I'm really hoping in the new addition the commisars are actually worth taking
Imagine your friend gets their new detachment on December 1st and you have to wait till December 30th. But hey, at least it isn't as bad as having to wait over two years for a Codex (sad Thousand Sons noises)

yes, Yes, YYYYEEEEEAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSS
Something to add about the krieg heavy weapons it was mentioned that the fire coordinator would give fights on death to them. From the Warcom Article: He can also get them to crack off a last-ditch shot right before they perish. So maybe he dies last instead to give the fights on death.
The Warp Spiders kids have grown up enough to fight.
Possibly my fav new model. This release definitely gives Eldar a new breath of life. :D My poor wallet.
THIS THIS is what happens when GW doesnt rush and takes their time INCREDIBLE models and new detachments for EVERYONE!!!
i think the death riders get all 3 weapons? we can see all 3 on one model. lascarbine is holstered on their right and sabre on the left. some of them with that are holding the lances
When I first saw the news, and seen you hadn't posted yet, I was immediately thinking "Someone wake the Aussie up! He has important stuff to be covering!"
He’s English you mong
Was hoping that the Warp Spider Phoenix Lord would have four Doctor Octopus arms with blades and guns on the end, but still, a 9/10 Aeldari release - though my opinion will probably change when the cost for each one releases, heh
Well it’s pretty damn close to what you wanted
I was there to checkout the Kill Team games when the stream came on (they had TVs setup in the room).
Everyone was absolutely blown away by the Kreig reveals…tho some were less than enthused about more indirect fire. The tank detachment brought them around again tho.
Little sad that Drastana wasn't dropped even though we got new shining spears but that warp spider lord GOD DAYUM
Gonna love having some Kriegsmen in my Cadian army to help out, a little more variety is always nice
I think that they only listed some of them
@@maxmagnus377 oh you guys might be right!
@@Swampert919 totally valid! I sure hope they get a wraith host detachment, in one form or another :)
Is that a baby in the background at 1:10? New Auspex lore reveal
I wonder if Drukhari will get anything this nice 17 days before 11th ed.
GW: The other half of your model range will arrive sometimes in 2037.
That Warp Spider Phoenix Lord looks sick as hell.
14:47 Rogal Dorn Tank commander, awesome. :)
This was a proper Reveal Show!!
What a turnaround from that road map
The 30k stuff is SICK. I love IG getting their well deserved attention. Seeing different types of detachments all with their own aesthetic would be amazing.
The back carapace for the Warp Spider Phoenix Lord looks very cool
It's wild how good these updates are when the last round custodes got 1 model, with none coming from resin, ad Mech got 1 model, and necrons got 3 with a few that needed updates being left behind in resin/fine cast
Tactical teleport rock under that Warp Spider Lord.
Might cut all that away when I get one. Not sure yet
I have to say, they absolutely nailed with these models. A lot to love here.
I think Krieg will now go from being the most rare army being played to the most common one
good.
in life,war
in death,peace
im life,shame
in death,atonement
STILL no full Votann release or Grey Knight refresh. Glad the elves finally got theirs though.
Thanks for the review of the preview. Eldar and Guard look great.
Those idol markers with the new eldar units look sooo unnecessarily sick. I wanna steal and convert the fire dragons 😆
I think the 4 daemon detachments point to the book indeed getting removed. You would think they'd save that for a codex if there was going to be one. These sound more like stuff if you want to keep playing daemons for the rest of the edition, while the mono god CSM's will incorporate daemons in them.
That exactly what I think as well. Why even give a codex at that point? 5 detachments is a lot for an army that has no codex.
as a big Krieg fan, this is fantastic.. love the new detachments, "siege - mechanised assault"
The flaming JUNK in that infernus TRUNK
GW has announced Rhada Dandra in FB post, could be this the end of times of 40K and the last edition ?
Next ED could be something of new ?
I feel like Death and Rough riders are a bit inverted in role. Shouldn't the not-mongols be light cav and the not-WW1 lancers be shock cavalry? Particularly in trench and siege warfare outrider cavalry doesn't seem that useful...
Lhykis looks so bloody good I swear... 25:00
I wonder if the chaos gods are each getting a detachment specifically BECAUSE they're folding them in - they're getting ahead of the Deathwatch thing where they folded them in and then had to go back and make a detachment later
All 4 variants of the Artillery Team looks amazing.
The new aspect warriors and P.Lords are phenomenal. especially the warp spider!
that servo skull is looking like an elaborate toilet roll setup.
Great reveal show. Awesome new models! Not the least bit surprised with the new combat patrol lol.
When the IG refresh came the year prior, i was envisioning enough heavy teams to try a "Voice ov Kings" artillery arrangement...glad i slacked off on THAT. Even MORE big guns now! 😮😮😮
it feels like GW is trying to put anything other then a tank into the guard combat patrol boxes
Tau get a Tank, but we don't? Big sad.
Warp spiders got updated _and_ got a phoenix lord!?!
I thought I was going to be in a retirement home before that happened!
Best previews in a longgg time!
I haven't played 40k really at all since 6th ed and already have too many armies and models but those new aspect models and phoenix lords particularly Baharroth and the Warp Spider Phoenic lord look so good, may have to get them, even just to paint.
ha those warp spiders with 4 arms look almost like mini version of the screamer killer sculpt :)
Been waiting since I got into Warhammer at the beginning of 9th edition for the Krieg refresh!!!
Really happy with all the new Eldar models! So excited 😂 There isn't really much in the Eldar range that's desperate for an update now after this wave of models. I hope players of other factions now get the updates they hope for.
As far as I can concerned, at least 3 out of the 5 death riders in the squad share their mounts’ poses with those Darkoath riders.
This entire month has felt like a dream
Looking forward to seeing what the new detachments do. I'm especially interested in what they are going to do with Votann, because while they work well right now, they only do so because of their current detachment rule. I wonder if they get a complete overhaul where the Oathband rule is somehow partly rolled into the army rule, can't imagine how they would make anything else work otherwise. To be fair though, they also need more datasheets for more detachments to really make sense. Still, I'm curious.
missed out on the dark angels and knights box. i doubt ill ever get my hands on a krieg box so ive given up.
I'm so excited, krieg and the commisars are my favorite parts of the gaurd, I'm really hoping in the new addition the commisars are actually worth taking
Now please show me a new value box release featuring the new Warp Spiders and their Phoenix Lord. 😁
was planning to buy the next guard patrol box.. think I'll maybe pick up the last one
I hope the kreig command squad can attach to the engineers and scout. Will be a fun mortal wounds bomb to yeet across the board in a taurox if so.
Imagine your friend gets their new detachment on December 1st and you have to wait till December 30th. But hey, at least it isn't as bad as having to wait over two years for a Codex (sad Thousand Sons noises)
I'm looking forward to the Krieg box set and the new models.
I've already got Kroot in this edition, now Krieg. All I need now are the Exodites.
These look so, so good. Definitely going to go for the Krieg sets.
They did a great job this time around with the reveal show.
