- This Lemon Pound Cake made with Almond Flour is just as good if not better than any conventional cake and it is sugar free, gluten free and extremely low carb, too. This is also one of my most popular keto recipes. I am so happy with the recipe as it makes a great coffee time cake or a snack and also satisfies your craving for some sweet. It has a wonderful texture much like around cake and is very versatile. You can top it up with some whipped cream and berries for a more formal dessert. I hop you guys give it a try and leave me a comment down under. Happy Cooking!

For those using a glass bread pan, it takes 1hour and 5 minutes to bake at 350 degrees.
The cake is delicious but a little oily, so I would cut the amount of coconut oil by half and substitute the other half with butter.
Also, a dash of poppy seeds complements it nicely :)
Chantale Woodrow , thanks for the tip! I didn't see this until after I had everything mixed together but I'm cooking now and going add more time.
Thank you!
I wish I had read your comment prior to making it the first time....the second time around I halved the oil bc 2/3 is too much for my tastes..fingers crossed it comes out great
Yes thanks for the tip. I tried this before I read your comment and I had to get rid of it. The oil was way too much. Making a second attempt now and it’s way better than the first👍🏼
Thanks so much!🤣
I love that you didn't edit out the bubble over. That made me like you... because you're real. ☺️
Thank you
Just made this! My keto family is in loveeee my dad started dancing when he ate it lol
So happy to hear that 😀
😂
I haven’t taste a snack in a month. I need this today.
Your dad sounds too cute😍
@sona'is food can i use the lemon extract instead of vanilla?
I'm gradually accumulating enough recipes to do a keto afternoon tea. This would be perfect.
Thank you
How did it go?
I used a loaf tin lined with baking parchment. Cooked it for 15 mins then put foil over it for 25 mins . Perfectly cooked when taken out of oven. I also used half coconut oil and butter , it was soooo light and moist the best cake recipe yet for me ! Thanku x
So happy to hear 😊
Thank you! I even “messed up” and substituted butter for oil, and it still turned out beautifully. I beat the heck out of it because my butter wasn’t as softened as it should have been. I was worried that I had wasted all of those ingredients. LOL. However, when it was finished baking and the toothpick came out clean, I let it sit for about 10 minutes before turning it out onto a plate. It sliced up splendidly, and tasted so good I was able to sit in front of an entire plate of Christmas cookies without fighting the temptation. This cake is that good, and I didn’t even glaze it :) The hostess asked me for the recipe because her husband loved it! I didn’t even take any credit. I’m sending your link to her.
So happy to hear about it. And thank you 💓
Make Ghee when butter goes on sale. It last forever and frees up space in your fridge.
This recipe is to die for! I love it. One issue that I had and want to share with you all is that I didn't have a nice silicone pan like Sonal did. I used an aluminum one. I sprayed it with coconut oil spray and cooked it at 355 F for 45 minutes in my convection oven. It cooked all the way thru just fine, however, it stuck to the pan bad. The second time I cooked it, I lined the pan with parchment paper. Success. Great cake, no stick. The third time I cooked it, I left the lemon juice out and added unsweetened chocolate powder (4 tbl). It was good, but a tad bit dry. Next time I might add something like butter to make up for the missing liquid from the lemon juice. But thank you Sonal for this great recipe.
So happy to hear that you have made this thrice and enjoyed it. How about adding a little vinegar when you make the chocolate flavour and want to leave out the lemon juice. The acidity helps in making it rise. Not too much though.
I'm 6 and a half months pregnant and have finally found a youtube where I can work from and adjust as I am a diabetic. Thank you! You have another fan 💕
Lavinia Pohahau good luck and I admire your determination.❤
If you mix your soda and baking powder into your coconut flour, and add it after you've mixed in your almond flour, you won't get such a mess. The rising will be more controlled, and won't be wasted by mixing it back down. It will make for a fluffier cake.
Thanks for the tip.
polly jetix the mess was the reaction between baking soda and lemon I guess adding these two in the end will make a fluffier cake as the mixing will knock off carbondioxide. But still the end result was a very yummy fluffy cake.
Sonal's Food thanks for the yum recipe
You're welcome!
I mix everything together and added the lemon juice last in it reduced the expansion
I made this cake and topped it with Keto lemon curd.It is the best I have ever eaten and improves with age. I keep it cold. I only have a small square as a treat and so love the texture and marvelous flavor, thank you for sharing.
Yummy combination. Glad to know that you liked it.
Hi I tried your recipe. Yes it's a lovely recipe. I just tweaked it by using half qty of erithritol n half of xylitol. As I don't like d aftertaste of stevia. And added black poppy seed. Turned out yumm. A big thanks. Yes its difficult to figure out that's it's a keto cake.
Oceanic Blues thanks for you lovely comment.
Oceanic Blues when you use the sweetner erithritol and xylitol, how much is that in cups or tablespoons?
I just used d qty mentioned by sonal n used half of it with erithritol n half of it with xylitol. But mind you xylitol causes stomach distress to most people. Erithritol is safer.
Oceanic Blue - Erythritol and stevia act synergistically together. Erythritol takes away the aftertaste of stevia, and stevia removes most of the cold mouth feel of the erythritol.
Oh I didn't know about that. Will definitely try it this way too. Thank you.
Thanks for this! I did 1/3 cup of coconut oil and 1/3 cup of butter. I added a teaspoon of lemon extract and 3/4 cup of bocha sweet and 1/4 of confectioners swerve. And also added poppy seeds. Came out delicious. I cant believe how moist it is. It really doesnt even need the frosting. Thank you for sharing!!
Pearl poppy seeds is a delicious addition. Glad you liked it.
*Lemon pound cake is a classic, and I'm thrilled to see a keto version. Can't wait to give this recipe a try!*
Delicious. I followed the advice about half coconut oil and half butter. I also added a little orange oil. Very good!
Sounds great!
I made this with some substitutions, but I basically stuck with the recipe, and somehow made an even tastier treat. I think I made a keto version of frangipane. I cooked some pears and baked it in a dish. I think I'm in love.
O wow! Sounds delicious.
I felt like crying while eating this cake!! It was delicious ♥️ thank you
Oh wow. That's so sweet of you to let me know.
I am very surprised at how delicious this lemon cake is. Thanks for sharing, I love it tastes delicious, I dare say it is the first dessert recipe "keto" that I love, all that I have done previously I did not like. This will be my favorite.
Thank you for sharing!!!
Liset N Noyola thanks for your lovely feedback. I am so happy to hear that.
Made this on labor day waiting for Hurricane Dorian. It was delicious and even my non-Keto friends and family devoured it. I took others advice and used only 1/3 of coconut oil and added lemon extract to the glaze. Great recipe that I will be using often here. Thank you!
I finally made this cake today, and it turned out great!
I followed the exact recipe and the sweetness level was perfect for my taste.
The next time I make this, I will add some lemon oil to bump up the lemon flavor even more.
Thank you for sharing!!!!
Oh Wow! I have never uses that.
I would also use the lemon zest from a couple of lemons. It is a great recipe! Though... I'm not sure why she frosted the bottom of the cake instead of the top, but it was still great. :)
Christopher M yeah I was thinking the same😂
We made this cake and it was DELICIOUS! We did cut back on the oil to 1/2 cup. It was so moist. Also added lemon zest to frosting and some in the cake.. so good
Good to hear that you liked the recipe.
Just made this for my birthday. Quite honestly the best cake I have ever tasted 😍
Happy birthday! and yay for you liking it.!
OHMYGOODNESS !!!!! I just made this and it is delicious !!!! It tastes just like regular pound cake. I used 3oz of melted butter instead of coconut oil and used 4 drop extra of Young living lemon oil. My husband loved it and he is not having to eat Gluten Free. It is sooooo good and only 2 carbs!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!!! Will definitely make again and again and again....
Wonderful! Very happy to hear that.
This cake was soo yummy. If you are not used to keto cakes, I think the cake tastes best the next day after it has set.
I used a mix of butter and coconut oil as well as added some maple to the batter. the icing came out lovely as well. I added only tsps of the sweetner.
Dervona Hunter great. Glad you liked it.
I have used this basic recipe to make all sorts of keto muffins, including blueberry, and other berries. This is a great basic recipe. It makes 12 muffins, so the macros per muffin are the same as each slice of cake. You could actually use sugar free chocolate chunks or chips or nuts. It has such a great texture. Thanks, Sonal!
Thanks so much
I've been trying a lot of keto recipes and this is my favorite so far! It's delicious!
So happy to hear. Thank you
I love lemon 🍋 I can’t wait to try this recipe. Thanks for sharing us this keto lemon cake 🤩
My mom made this cake and it was delicious🤤. Now I will be making it as a birthday cake for my children since we all do keto. Thank you for sharing.
Wow! Such families are an inspiration.
Suzette Trujillo yea because your kids have no choice in the matter
@@tami8965 Well, that was a wee bit harsh ...!🙁✝️⚜️
T S same as the kids being loaded up with sugar...... what is your point?
Croix de Lorraine 1935 We'll see. Hopefully those kids won't develop gout one day, like my brother-in-law just did after doing his stupid keto diet.
I think I'd add lemon zest to the batter to up that yummy lemon flavor. You can also sub a tbsp of psyllium husk and a tbsp of water for one egg. Just depends if people think it's too "eggy". Looks yummy and easy, can't wait to try it
Sounds good. The cakes not really eggy. Especially from all the lemon.
This looks almost identical to the lemon bars you can buy at Starbucks definitely trying out this recipe
Amara Isabella yes! That’s what thought too. That’s what I miss the most on Keto....🤤🤤🤤
Hope it came out well
And that’s exactly why I’d like to make it. I love those lemon bars. They take all my money. I always buy extra and leave it in the car. Omg they are even better when they are a day old. Now I can make my own keto friendly one. I’m happy she shared her recipe with us.
That is what I ate in airports for breakfast... So good.
It was totally awesome! My son was lucky I left him and his girlfriend some for when I left to go to work as I have to travel. Thank goodness I had your cake available to eat as I had a most difficult night at work - I’m a nurse and I work 12 hour nights. If I hadn’t had coffee, nuts and your cake - I’d have grabbed inappropriate food because there was no lunch break last night. Your cake was the best part of my day! Thanks again!
Oh wow! One of the best feedbacks and I missed it earlier. 💖
That’s ok! I love your recipes - they’re awesome! And I’ve got to make this again as it was sooo great!
I have lately started adding beef gelatin to my cakes. Gives them good texture without needing too many eggs.
That is a great idea. I too use gelatine a lot.
Faisal Rafique Thanks for the tip.
Hi can I ask how much gelatin replaces one egg?
@@xercer8503 Sorry for late response. I love Gelatin for health reasons so I throw in a tablespoon for every egg. You will have to play with it to figure out what works best for you.
Faisal Rafique thanks for the tip
Just made this cake and it is amazing!! I used stevia sugar and 1 1/2 lemons
Wonderful!
I just made your recipe into muffins- game changer! Thank you so much for this delicious keto delight!
DAWNSTAROFDAVID great idea. It can be used for various flavours too.
Oh awesome idea, what was your baking time?
Lauren Fry about 40 min. At 180 Celcius
DAWNSTAROFDAVID that’s such a great idea! No having to figure out how to get 12 even pieces in order to know exact macros.
What a BRILLIANT idea!!!
Guys! I baked it. And its pure gold in every sense. Sonal's recipes are easy to follow with outcome of pure gold ya'll!
So glad you liked it.💖
Just made this and I was sceptical about the glaze, because I have found stevia/other natural sweeteners are harder to hide if they're not in a baked good, but I'm astonished! I added a little more vanilla and lemon juice to mine, so had to bake for 60 minutes, but it's phenomenal! I completely understand what you were saying about the delicious smell, too. The whole house is sweet and lemony! We live in the south eastern region of the US where moist, buttery, sweet pound cakes are a staple, but I could feed this to my in-laws without mentioning the keto factor and they would be none the wiser. Amazing flavour! Thank you for gracing our lives with this recipe! 💞
OMG! So happy to hear all this. Thanks for taking the time to let me know. So glad everybody liked it.
Hi Sona - I just made yr recipe - FANTASTIC- Thankyou - I used 1/3 cup olive oil instead of 2/3 coconut oil & put the fan on for an extra 10 mins to make sure it was cooked - totally wonderful greetings from South Africa
So happy to hear that. Thank you
@@SonalsFood AND Sonal I sliced the rest (cut a beautifully) and placed in the freezer - had a piece this afternoon with a lovely cup of tea 🌹
My daughter and I made this. Amazing!! Even my 10-year-old son liked it. Thank you for the recipe!!
the4olsons so happy to know!😊
I made this last night and it was good. I would probably add more lemon juice next time, it had more of a coconut taste so I would scale back on the coconut flour. The texture good . I would definitely make this again. Thanks for sharing.
Great. Thanks for the feedback
Great video, great production, you are a real sweetheart.
Speaking of sweet ... the cake was amazing. I never cook/bake anything so now my family thinks I am some sort of cake prodigy after tasting your creation :D
Haha... That's so cool. I am happy to hear that
Hahaha.. That's so cool. I am happy to hear that. Thanks.
I used vanilla bean, I added poppyseeds and almond flavoring. I mixed it altogether and did not do it the way she did. It took 1 hour and 20 minutes on 350. Once the cake is done, it’s delicious and you cannot tell it’s keto. I’ll try doing it exactly like her next time and see if there’s a difference. For the cream, I would put more cream cheese and less heavy cream. Otherwise, a great recipe.
Great ideas. The recipe can be used as a base for many variations
Enormous thank you for this recipe 🙏🏻 its delicious and satisfying for anyone and especially people on keto craving the true flavours of a moist delicious shortcake. This is now my all time favorite, weather i’m on keto or not. I made the frosting with cream cheese and it was perfection! (Cream cheese, little butter, and sugar replacement)
So happy to hear that.
Thank you. I don't have any whipping cream so this is a relief to hear. I'm excited to try such a beautiful cake.
Dear Sonal, Master Keto Chef!! I tried this , it was absolutely awesome, made it for some friends, and no one could tell it was sugar free and gluten free. THANK YOU. Stay blessed
Thank you so much Shafia. Best wishes to you too.
I just now made it!Never I had so yummy keto cake, my hubby loved it lot and said u made my day.i subscribed to you
Thanks a lot for such easy and tasty recipe
So happy to hear that.
Does it have an eggy flavor?
Jimmine Johnson not at all. The lemon flavor masks it.
Pearl M that is a good point. Next I should keep that in mind while mentioning the temperature.
Made this yesterday for mum's 83rd Birthday. We all loved it. Was delish thanku sweetheart
Glad to hear that
I’m definitely making this but I have to say that my OCD kicked into fury when you put the icing on the BOTTOM of the cake! 😲😌
Hahaha...I know. You are not the only one who had that complaint. Feel free to put it one the sides..lol
@@SonalsFood I think they meant bottom instead of top, not bottom instead of sides :-)
@@MM-Iconoclast yes. Just kidding 😂
For those of you who dislike stevia, here’s a good icing recipe if you don’t have one:
1/2 cup Butter, softened
1 cup Powdered Monk Fruit or powdered Erythritol
1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
Thank you so much, I've been struggling to find things that I really want to eat as treats on keto and can't wait to try this! It looks delicious ☺
Lauren Groombridge welcome to this channel. Please make sure you have the oven temp right. 180 C or 350 F. Cover and bake for 10 min out of the total time.
I'm confused. How long do you bake @ 350 degrees F?
Anne-Marie Brooks the total baking time was 40 min. Out of that bake it covered with a foil for about 10 min. So that it is cooked as well as brown from top. Poke a toothpick and check if it comes out clean. Then you can get it out.
Thank's Sonal's Food. I was confused about the 10 minutes. I got it now. 10 minutes covered; 30 minutes uncovered.
I decided to try this recipe because of all the great reviews...so I baked this along with my favorite keto cake recipe in case I didn't like this cake :)
It's wonderful!! Thank you!!
Mine I thought tasted like coconut custard pie, which I absolutely love!! 👍🏽
Yay! 😋
Looks like a great Lemon Pound Cake recipe.
Thank you so much looks so yummy I’m going to make it for my son’s birthday on February 2 God bless you all thank you again I love your videos
Thanks so much. My son's birthday was on the 3rd Feb.
Thankyou for sharing. Looked delicious.
I made these yesterday, they tasted better today, super delicious and satisfying.
...did it drive anyone else nuts when she didn't flip it over before icing it?
No?
Just me? 😂😂
Mike965x ME!!! Lol!
Haha...you guys din't get disturbed when I switched the wheat flour for almond and coconut, but I ice my cake on the other side and everyone notices...lol
@@SonalsFood - almond and coconut flour are totally normal for us keto folk - icing a cake upside down isn't normal for anyone, ever!
;-) 😂😂😂
@@Mike965x Ok I rest my case...😂😂
@@SonalsFood hahaha fair enough! For what it's worth, I still look forward to your videos! :-D
After 2 months of trying different Keto baking this is our favourite treat. I added a little pure lemon extract to add some punch to the flavour and adjusted the cooking time. Otherwise, I found if you follow the tips for keto baking such as having eggs at room temp and melting the fat but making sure it isn’t hot you’re much more likely to have a good outcome. I also suggest not wasting time between steps to maximize the chemistry that is going on.
So happy to hear that. Thanks for the tips.
Oh, Sonal! I'm so glad I found you! Now I have a dessert for our 4th of July picnic🎇 New subbie here😉
I’ve watched this video for quite a number of times and I finally made it today! Yum 😋! Thank you, Sonal!
My pleasure 😊
Interesting to see that in other cultures people put the cake on the plate from the other side 😂😂😂 here in Germany your bottom is always our top
OnlyResilience you know what, I didn't even notice that. I just put the prettier side on top... I think.
OnlyResilience ,
Nah. Not a culture thing. I learned from baking class that you put the flat side up for easy frosting ( even flat surface😊).
Bottoms up for easy frosting but the top is still the tastiest! 😋🤗
Yes, I noticed that too. It was a bit disturbing to me but I tried to ignore it. 😂Might make the cake wobble with an uneven bottom. Some people cut cake tops even, perhaps cut the bottom straight. Or I always wonder if the cake rises up and you place that side face down will it sink down a bit. Plus the bottom can be a bit soggy and that crusty , golden top is nice on top. Does it really make a difference? Probably not, to each their own. It’s just the way people have been taught to do it.
Just ignore the thumbs down. I made it and it turned out pretty darn good. My husband and son both liked it.
I saw this in my feed and got pissed! THEN I SAW IT WAS KETO HAHA! THANKS
Jen Jabba me to!

I made this today and added blueberries and I put slice almonds on the top also I made it into muffins. It is delicious
Oh Yummy! There are no blueberries in India. At least not at a fruit price, maybe at the price of diamonds and I miss them so much.
Hi Levinia. What size is your cup measurement please? Im Australian and used 250ml but mine didn't cook through. How much blueberry did you use and how long did you give the muffins to bake at 180 celsius? Thanks, Lizrob

Wonderful!
This cake looks amazing! We love lemon pound cake and think our kiddos would love this as well. Is the texture more cake-like or muffin-like? We were wondering if we might be able to make these into lemon poppyseed muffins?

This is a great recipe just like the real thing ...when you are on a keto diet ,cakes like this make you feel like, you are not missing out... thankyou for posting x
Thanks henrietta
Thank you for the recipe. It tastes really well. However I was quite disappointed that the macros and calories in the description are misleading. Each serving turns out to have 305 cal. 29gr fat, 8 g protein and 5.3 g carbs. I am not a calorie counter per se but for people following a Keto diet it is so important to get the macros right. People buy all these ingredients and spend time and money to make the recipe and I think it is only fair that the information in the description is as accurate as possible.
Paola Ganum glad to hear that you like the recipe. As far as I know the macros are correct. There can be a difference in the ingredients and thus macros. Also it may depend on the number of slices you make. Are they the same as mine.
@@SonalsFood Thanks for your reply, yes they are pretty much the same, I just saw this guy's reply with a video on the actual count of the macros in your recipe OMG did you get a chance to see it? ruclips.net/video/7eFsczi8O0s/видео.html
Paola Ganum I just saw the link. Not the whole video though. Thanks for bringing it to my notice.🙄
I checked the macros as well and came out at 6 turns out extra fine almond flour is higher carb than raw almond flower made the change and the macros came out at 1.6g
How on earth do you calculate the macros for something like this?!
Thank you very much for your keto recipes it certainly will be a great help for everyone eating healthy is the way instead of buying and setting conventional food for friend's and family

Yesss
6 eggs is alot of calories though, U better be doing somem exercise during the day or you wont lose any weight
@@TsarOfRuss 1. The calories in one egg=78.
2. Six eggs are in the entire recipe and you are not going to eat the entire cake at one time.
3. Eggs are protein and fat, with virtually no carbs. Carbs and sugar make you fat, not protein and fat.
This was excellent - just made it. I used butter and no coconut oil and used a glass bread pan at 350 F for one hour and it was great. Thank you Sonal for a great recipe and CG for the tip.
Glad to hear that.
awesome recipe. made it today, added monkfruit/erythritol sweetner. its so good. next time will cut down on the oil but overall so good. i felt guilty eating it, had to look at the ingredients again to remind myself it was a healthier version.👌
Haha..true..I am glad you enjoyed it
Can I use only stevia as an sweetener.if yes what should be the quantity
I made this last night. Put it in fridge and had it this morning! So far, this is my husbands favorite recipe and he doesnt like coconut. It is delicious! Thanks for your recipe.
Glad to hear that
I am allergic to Stevia....causes vertigo type symptoms. Has anyone tried coconut sugar or honey instead? And if so in what amount?
Any sweetener should work with this recipe. Monkfruit is good if you want to keep it keto. I haven't tried it. Taste it to adjust.
sugar is usually the same amount as the main flour. Since flour here is almond, recommended amount will be 2/3rd of flour's amount.
@@sigmaxcc ...thank you
Well the flavor is good. I added Lemon zest to the cake batter. It took me an extra 12 minutes to cook at 350 Fahrenheit. My little convection oven doesn't do 355 which would have been closer to your temp. I found the bread a little oily and my frosting didn't look like it was running with the same measurement. I might try this one more time with little adjustment.
Evelyn Almada oven temperatures do vary. Hope you like it better the next time.👍
OMEEE It looks so good. I hate the taste of stevia tho. Isnt the other added sugar alternatives bad for you?
I don't like the taste of Stevia alone. But I find that a combination of Erythritol and Stevia works quite well for me. I consider keto desserts too as a treat. So, eat some and store the rest in the fridge or freezer, so you do not eat too much.
Erythritol and Xylitol are the closest tasting to sugar and are FAR safer than the horrid aspartame, sucralose and other chemical based ones. Stevia has a metallic after taste that I dislike but mixed with Erythritol it's nit bad. Xylitol is my personal favourite for baking.
I have never tried xylitol. I will look for it and give it a try now.
Lauren Fry, thx . Its so hard to understand all this. It seems they change whats good whats bad every year. I cant keep up. I agree that stevia tastes horrible. I will try the others.
Sonal's Food Be cautious with Xylitol. For some people it causes diarrhea.
I tried this last night for my diabetic parents and instead of stevia I used lemon MIO with the called for erythritol. OH my goodness, my father who loves lemon anything......was in bliss. It is now become the go to for a sweet treat. I also made the whipping cream cream cheese using lemon Mio as well. It was so good. Thank you, thank you, thank you for this recipe.
Wow! It felt so good to hear your feedback. I am so glad that fellow diabetics are getting a chance to enjoy my recipe. Although, I do not know what lemon MIO is. But, good for you.
Sonal's Food ....lemon Mio is a sugar-free water enhancer liquid that adds flavor to plain water without sugar.

mc.cenz0 oh wow! Sounds Devine.
Hi, this cake crumbs tasted delicious, but mine was totally wet inside after 40 mins on 180 degrees celsius (not fan forced). So I kept it in for 50 mins, and it was still uncooked in the middle when I tried to turn it out. Sonal - so you mean 180 celsius AND fan forced? I see you use a silicon mould, mine was thick aluminium. HELP! It could have been wonderful, Second question, if i substitute butter for coconut oil, I weighed 2/3 cups of oil to be 150 grams. Is that the amount of butter to use? Thanks!!
Robert Thomson to substitute with butter I would use that.much and a tablespoon on almond flour too. As for the temperature of the oven it is 180 C and about 350 F. Hope you finally managed to cook it. All ovens are different so cook until a toothpick come out clean when inserted into the centre. Good luck the next time.
Robert Thomson
Are you using refrigerated ingredients? If so, don’t. It’s very important that all ingredients are room temperature before baking certain cakes.
The wet inside issue used to happen to me often. After reviewing the printed recipe I discovered the only step I wasn’t following was using room temperature ingredients. When I started using room temperature ingredients, I never suffered a soggy middle again!
Good luck and happy baking!
Also, it depends what elevation you're at as well. I'm at 4300 ft and I always have to add as much as 10-30 min extra to cooking anything...also, yes the temp is 350℉.
Are you a pilot LOL? I used Convection oven or fan forced seems to work in 40 minutes, but I agree higher altitude, less dense air.. yes I do fly - @@tracys7057
Mine did the same it was totally wet inside and after cooking it for 1 hour and 30 minutes I still don't hold together needs to be eaten with spoon
My bestie and I are currently baking this .. we’ll let you know how it comes out!
Update: We loved it! We just would do the glaze a little different next time because of the strong cheesecake taste. Other than that, wonderful recipe! Thank you for sharing. We’ll definitely be making this again in the future.
Wow!! Glad to hear that you liked it.
no steviA drops what to do?
add more sweetener?
Yes add more of your favourite sweetener, but don't forget to taste it for sweetness.
👍
How nice! Keto cake AND sugar- and gluten free also...... 😍👍❤️ You made my day 😁👍 Have to try this one day‼️ Thank you so much for the awesome recipe 🙏🌺
Thank you. Hope you like it.
Sonal's Food Thank you 🙏🌺
I had a big fight with my daughter she says click the bell button and said no . At last I lost and had to click the bell button.
Haha....good to know that the big fights in your house are so cute.
Sonal, I made your recipe, my family & I really loved it. This lemon pound cake was so delicious. I didn't tell them it was keto until afterwards & they were so surprised. I added lemon & lime zest to the frosting & a 1/2 tsp of juice. We grow blueberries, Blackberries, Raspberries & strawberries on our land so I topped it off with a mix of berries. Wow. I didn't feel cheated at all. Thank you so much. ❤❤❤❤
Happy to hear that
It’s hard to understand you
Just read the transcript and find the words you couldn’t catch
Thank you so much Sonal for sharing this recipe!
I did a couple of changes due to not having a few items in my pantry/being horribly prepared.
I substituted coconut oil for melted butter, Erythritol for Xylitol 1:1 (I should've added a dropper more of stevia) and did not have a lemon on hand, so used 1/3 store bought lemon juice and 1/3 cup of fresh orange juice (Asian variety that looks like a naval but isn't as sweet).
I also mixed all dry ingredients (besides sugars) separately and added that in slowly to the wet.
Took about 38 minutes on 350F - I really like how it turned out! Thanks so much!
So happy to hear that. All the changes you made were acceptable ones. And I am sure the orange juice must be a delicious addition.
I'm sorry to say, this was awful. The consistency was like a sponge, terrible aftertaste. it looked great coming out of the oven,
but the taste, no can do.
Sorry to hear that. Most people have had success with the recipe. If you are used to sugar then the taste of sweeteners do bother.
Hi Sonal I just subscribed to your channel and made the lemon pound cake but instead of lemon I used orange and I have to congratulate you for the recipe, I tried so many recipes and none of them were good. Yours isDELICIOUS. Thank you🌺🌺🌺👍
Thank you so much 💓
Good recipe , I think next time I will change things a little, I think I’ll use 1/3 cup of olive oil oil and 1/3 cup of butter , I felt it has a strong coconut oil taste. Texture is nice. I might add a little more lemon flavor thank you
I tweaked the recipe a little and made this into cake layers, adding a chocolate mascarpone and whipped cream frosting. Made this cake for my son's birthday last week, and the family loved it so much they requested it again. So I made it twice in one week :) Thanks for the amazing recipe!
Wow great idea and so glad it worked out well. Happy birthday to your son 💙
@@SonalsFood thanks! I also think this batter would make great lemon cranberry muffins. Let me know if you tried keto version of these.
@@EugenePivnev I think thats a great idea. Haven't tried that. But I used this base a little modified for other cakes.

I made this cake today and it was delicious! I did add less coconut oil around 74grams and made it up to the correct amount with butter. Thank you!
Great. Happy to hear that
I just tried this recipe. Oh my goodness!! I am so happy right now. I did add 1/4tsp of lemon extract because I love lemon. Two thumbs up. If I had more thumbs, I would put them up too!! 😁😁😁
Happy to hear that

So happy to hear that. Enjoy!
I made this a while back and it was soooo good. The cake tastes just the same as flour lemon cakes!
Yes it does. Its my favourite too. Thanks for the feedback.
I tried this recipe today - it's a good cake but don't expect it to taste the same as one made with regular flour as this nice lady states because it doesn't.
Yummy 🤤 Adding black poppy seeds in the cake will enhance the taste and nutrition
Omg i did the cake todau it's delicious. I put it in the oven at 350, after 40 minutes it was uncooked, but i put it for other 15 minutes at 355 and the result was fabulous. Thanks. Love love love ur recipe😍
