I just went through the hassle of checking what exactly the pilot does, here it is in case you're interested: 0:00 fuel prime pumps on for both engines (can't actually be seen, but has to be done) 0:05 FADEC (automatic engine control) on for both engines 0:13 engine 2 to idle (automatic startup) 0:44 engine 1 to idle (automatic startup) 0:59 inverters, avionic master switches and standby horizon on 1:01 pilot & co-pilot pitot / static heaters on 1:02 ventilation, PAX BLW (not 100 % sure what it means, I strongly suppose it's related to the heating of the passenger compartment) and bleed air heating on 1:04 fuel prime pumps off, transfer pumps on 1:05 strobe, position and anti-collision lights on 1:09 both engines to "fly" position (full power-up) and engine switch safety engaged

D-Frame I’m sure anti collision should be on before engine start up if you mean flashing red light warning people to stay clear
They probably should be, but in this instance they were not. Presumably he had a secured landing zone?
