Always loved the wee 300's. The deer recovery guys used to chuck them around the sky - and they loved it as it was one of the very few helicopters where you could look back behind you by looking over your shoulder if the deer cut back on you. I was also astounded how much moss the 300's could lift.
@@Erick-dk5vr I just got my first gaming PC. Microsoft flight simulator. With the yoke and all controls also already have quest two for vr closest I will ever get. But what a nightmare trying to get the vr to work in the game.
As much as I’d love to, exporting in 16:9 significantly impacts the field of view. I’ve found the 4:3 aspect ratio works a lot better for content like this
No usable audio after the headsets were taken up. No effort to feed the i/c audio into the recording facility which really is Page One of the Big Boy's Book of Aviation Comms. A great shame especially given the engine off auto-rotation near the end. This video is fine for Flying Club Johnnies but sadly of no use for those of use with an active interest in heli-ops. Great for people who want to just watch the World go by... Sorry.
This is somehow relaxing to watch

Why? You can do it
@@jeffszurgot $$$ I'll never have for it.
@@offswitch1jus do it in the military man. It’s free. Only thing you need to do is serve a x amount of years. In my country it’s 5 years
Enjoyed this... Thanks for posting!
Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful scene
I once paid $60 for an 8 minute ride in one of these at a local air show. Best and most nervous time I’ve ever experienced.
Why that was nervous time?

Very relaxing and nostalgic to me when I experienced my first time flight with chopper in kenya 🇰🇪...
😅😅😅😅
It's either the 269 or the 300 which was slightly bigger, never heard of the 296
Thank. You
What are the buttons on the forward controls for.
buttons on the cyclic do various things, primarily open your mic to ATC
Very nice

I like flying the 269 and miss it but it cost to much.
nice
Just curious -- is there a place you could land with an engine out in that area of the video near 11:32 ?
Might just about reach the water's edge on the nose but at that altitude, you would have no chance in an airplane
Love the videos but please use a 16:9 format to get rid of the black bars

there's no collective in Schweizer 296C-1, theres different levers
@@LLIano4ka_truethere most certainly is a collective……..

Auto rikshaw sound😂😂
It’s a 269 not a 296…
My apologies! Misread the model when typing everything out. Corrected now
