I have to agree with you Ed. The second VH album was my favorite from them. My only problem with it was the drums. It sounded like Alex was playing in the bathroom next to the studio instead of the studio room itself. But the writing was top notch. I got to see them live a few times on this tour. Actually I saw them in 1978 and 1979. The toured for both the first and second albums. It was a gift seeing them in a small theater because they blew up by 1980 playing arenas and stadiums. Well done list for 79~ Rob/Boston
I'm with you on Refugee - that whole Damn The Torpedoes record is fantastic. 1979 was a strong year - you showed a lot of great records. I saw Van Halen when they toured behind Van Halen II. Seems like I had a good time. Thanks for showing the records!
Great video! Rust Never Sleeps and Damn the Torpedoes would be on my list too, as well as The Clash - London Calling, Bruce Cockburn - Dancing In The Dragon's Jaws, Jethro Tull - Stormwatch, John Renbourn - Black Balloon, The Undertones self-titled and XTC - Drums & Wires.

Hi Edward!!! No one should apologize for what you think or how you rank a discography or stuff like that..... You have picked great music (albums), hope you can find a "minty" first Cars Lp and no argue with your N°1, VH finest moment. cheers and be well
