  • Elegoo sent me an E-Mail asking if I wanted to try their Mars 2 Pro 3D printer, so I agreed.
    I have been looking at entering the world of 3D printing for a while now and seeing what other people have managed to achieve in the modelling world has made me quite excited to try this tech out.
    This video is all my own work, I haven't been paid or coerced to say anything and every comment, opinion or bad joke is my own.

    Welcome to the new hobby of 3D printing! I have been doing if for a few years and selling my bits on ebay. If you want to discuss any issues or ideas let me know, I enjoy helping others get started!

    That looks like a real cool machine with lots of potential! Congrats on your acquisition James… well deserved!

    Awesome! A 3D printer opens up a ton of possibilities for modeling. I started with the Elegoo Mars then upgraded to the 4k Saturn.

    *If someone said me that one day modelers can create and print their own plastic parts ... not even in a dream! Thanks for this video LPJ!*

    The options open to you now with 3D printing is unlimited. I have been using mine to add extra bits and details to otherwise bland kits. Cults is a great place as is MyMiniFactory. If you want to get rid of the supports easier before you cure the model soak it in hot water. This will make it far easier to remove the supports. The next step is to start making your own detail parts! Great vid mate!!

    Very cool, definitely a good addition. Also congratulations, with getting the 3d printer it really seems your talents are gaining interest. One day we'll see one of your models at the Cosford or London Aircraft Museums.

      Thanks Wade ! It's nice to be noticed by companies, but I don't want it to be the be all end all! I thought that it would help with future builds ( already being put to good use ) .. that's a cool thought ! I never thought that far ahead :p

    While I'm a little disappointed it wasn't a build video, this is great news!
    So... 🎉Congrats🎉
    Can't wait to see how you incorporate the 3D printed parts into the builds. 👍👍

      Don't sweat mate, there's one halfway ( ish ) there on the bench right now !
      A bit of a hit, I got some ANYZ printable knobs and whacked those In, so it's already making a difference

    Those vertical lines on the jerry cans were not layer lines (the layers are horizontal). They were stepping from the lack of anti aliasing - quite literally extruded pixel edges. Turn on anti-aliasing and those will soften.

      Thanks Billy. Yes I completely get you , I was a bit oblivious there, I have been playing with aliasing and grey level and have found a happy medium for now 😀

    Awesome! There is also a new brand called Faustus models selling highly detailed sets for scale modeling so that might come in handy ;)

    Nice! Really looking forward to seeing how you will use it. I need to experiment with mine more, but the thought of the whole IPA cleanup process puts me off sometimes - maybe I should investigate that water washable resin.

    hello, how to get soldier files or 1.35 scale material

    • @lpjmodels
      @lpjmodels  2 года назад +1

      This is one thing I have been having trouble finding. You can make *any* file 1/35 if you know their measurements, but there doesn't seem to be a lot out there , ready to go, yknow.

    • @SmallSoldier
      @SmallSoldier 2 года назад +2

      Your nothing but a whiny bitch! You think making RUclips content is easy! If we get some free product from time to time to help offset the hundreds of hours we spend making these videos at virtually no payment to us… well James or any of us RUclips creators shouldn’t be made to feel guilty in the least you troll!
