When you say that angle, are you referencing the tilt of the machine? If so, it is more comfortable, and easier on the back than leaving the machine flat.

It really doesn't matter. Some people will tell you that it does, but it does not.
Nice machine, can you explain the knot tie?
Also on the final mains do you add extra kgs so they keep tension before the tie?
Not sure I know what you mean by the knot tie. Type of knot I use is the Parnell. I add 10% tension to my knot pulls.
