NIck this was awesome. One of the special places. I didnt think the autumn color was oversaturated. I think your mountain scenes in this were as perfect as any I have ever seen. Galen Rowell couldn't have done better. Love the channel. Thanks!
Nick, this was really two videos in one. I enjoyed the first part with all of the social aspects and putting faces with names. Now the second half was when you were really in your element. I loved your commentary on process and what emotions you were trying to communicate. Really great images Nick.
How was Steve Mattheis not involved with this forum? You were virtually in his back yard. Great wildlife and landscape shooter. He lives in Jackson and shoots in Grand Teton all the time. Looks like it was an epic event. Great images as usual.
Awesome shots again Nick. You must be loving the A7R4. The images we can get from the100-400 GM are amazing. Invited by Sony, lucky you! Mark's osprey rock.
Great video and lovely shots. I love seeing what your raw file looks like too in order to get an idea of what processing you do to get the final image. Thanks!
Absolutely awesome Nick, I loved how the landscape photographer in you was brushing past the horses and concentrating on the main mission at hand :-)... The image detail is astounding .. the light was gorgeous and as always you presented it all to a T .. Bravo !!
Two of my favorites in one video, love Mark Smith's channel too! Something ironic I found about this video is comparing these images to another video with wheat fields and amazing skies I didn't find the images you got on this trip to be as strong but it makes a GOOD point that given 2 days and perhaps not ideal conditions you had to work with them. On another note I truly hope Sony continues working with talented photographers, this type of collaboration helps us all as a community. The A7RIV looks like a great new tool for the type of work you do. Can't wait for the leaves to start turning up here in the NE where I live.
Great video and fotos! I think the amount of detailed explanation of what you did in post vs raw and why is just right. Looking forward to see more of that.
Loved this and your images! I like how you describe the thought process in your compositions. The Tetons ARE amazing so have to say that kit would be hard to go home with no good shots. But you are so capable you could produce gold out of stone anywhere. Great video! I didn’t know you were going to be in the Tetons and wondered if I had simply missed one of your workshops. I hope you DO decide to do a workshop in this area of your own. It’d be a sellout!
Awesome shots Nick!! We had a morning much like what you had on our trip back in 2017. The mountain peaks poking through the clouds were my favorite from the area as well.
Beautiful photos, Nick. I arrive in the Teton area tomorrow and I'm hoping for for some good light and maybe not as much rain/snow as they have predicted for the weekend.
Crazy how you aren't an equine photographer but yet the location provided you with the ***beautiful*** shot at 6:06. OMG, stunning, and leaves me wordless.....congratulations!
Brings back memories. I lived in the Teton Valley in the early to mid 90's. Too bad it was before I had a DSLR. A highlight for me was when I hike to the top of the "Middle" peak on the Tetons (12,804 ft). What a view! Thanks for sharing Nick.
Thanks for sharing this with us, Nick. I was up there just a couple of months ago and didn't want to leave. How amazing to be up there to see the colors change! Congrats on your 90k subs! It won't be long now until you hit 100!.
Nick, with no offence meant to anyone, how could anybody NOT come away with a decent image in such an incredibly beautiful location? Your images are amazing!
Wow Nick, Wow, your Fall "eye" shots, especially the panoramic reminded me so instantly of "Vincent Van Gogh" and his dedication to "color and simplicity"; check him out. So wonderful to see the "Great South West" still so alive; is that fresh snow in September? A big moment in the annual "Earth Gesture" is starting to happen, Fall, and a wonderful wonderful time to get out. Thanks Nick for keeping us posted. God Bless, R.F.
Great video Nick! Been following you for about the last 3 years.I began following Mark Smith after meeting him here in WA shooting eagles on Hood Canal a couple years ago and again this year, fantastic story telling style, Also follow your buds Gavin, Adam and Tom, love all your videos and great tips. Maybe run into you some time as we are both here in WA. Aloha! (originally from Hawaii)
Nick, Wonderful photos--as usual. Are you going to to a post about the A7Riv? I am interested in whether you have limited the smallest aperture you use with this camera vs the A7Riii. Because of the smaller photo sites, diffraction would appear to set in at lower aperture numbers.
I pressed the "like" button even before I watched the video. I was once again NOT disappointed Nick. Such a beautiful place that I'd love to photograph one day. The area gifted you with some STUNNING photos mate 👍 One thing here I can go walking out in the bush and not worry about running into a hungry bear, wolf, cougar or anything else that will eat you lol You should think about coming down to Australia, we have such a diverse array of landscapes you'd love to photograph thats for sure 📸
Nick thank you for your amazing videos. I’ve learned so much from you over the years. Something I am struggling with is photoshop file sizes. Do you compress your file size or just save those massive ones? Especially shooting pano some can get over 1gb. Is there a safe way to get this down or do we just live with it? What are your file sizes averaging?
I’m pretty sure i was there the same time as you, even that day maybe - I remember how dramatic the Tetons were that day. I know there was also a conference going on around that time.
Your photos are just absolutely amazing. Would you be doing any more photoshop tutorials for idiots like myself. You had one video on it and you really simplified it that made it really easy to follow. Would be great if you were able to do more 😊
Really nice images, fall color is just beginning in My part of New England, hopefully I can capture something that has the type of color palette your image displayed.Really wish you could of got a shot of the local grizzly bear as we don't have those where I live.
@@NickPage Yeah, his lordship and uncle grumpy mentioned something big coming in one of their videos. I'm excited, the first time you guys got together was some epic photography!
I went to the Grand Tetons with my very first digital camera, I think back in 2002. It had a whopping TWO WHOLE MEGAPIXELS. And a screen on the back the size of a postage stamp. But man, if there's ever a time to say it's the photographer that matters, not the gear, it's when I look back on some of those shots and realize they're pretty damn good. It's getting on time for me to go back to that part of the country, in fact.
Just found this video Your images are great especially the pano I miss your videos Hope you are doing well Thank you Is that pano available for purchase
Awesome video. It was great shooting with you, Charly and Ryan. Can't wait to do it again. Thanks for the mention too! You rock man!

The first mountain shot - superb!
That first mountaintop shot you showed was breathtaking!
Once again you are so lucky to have access to this area. Wonderful photos captured indeed. Thanks for sharing again Nick.

Wow Nick!!! That Panorama is absolutely perfect!!!
Damn Nick!! You knocked these shots out of the park!! Absolutely love them.

That pano is so beautiful! Well done, Nick!
Some of my fondest memories have been shaped while walking amongst the beauty that is Autumn in the Tetons. Nice images, Nick.

Steve's an excellent photographer and I agree, a shame he wasn't there.
J Mauler you're right. I missed it when Nick said Sony sponsored the event.
Beautiful pics!!
Love the Tetons. Leaving for Yellowstone on Friday then the Tetons on Tuesday. Can’t wait.
Lovely images Nick... fantastic story of the place captured beautifully. I would have been happy to see some wildlife stuff too...
Beautiful.... so envious .... I can’t get away to do stuff like this ..... thanks for sharing......

Thanks Roland, I typically don’t do too much of that but I figured I would see what people thought

Hi Nick, This set of images are superb. The Pano at 6:37 and the image at 8:12 especially beautiful 👌
Fabulous images Nick. I'm way ahead of you on Mark Smith's osprey pics... They are amazing!

Awesome photos
I really enjoy your channel. Headed to Central Oregon tomorrow and I’m just hoping I can do half as good. Thanks for sharing.
The pano is just insanely beautiful.........
Images are amazing and loved them when you posted on IG. I dream about going to places like that one day.

The second image looks like a composite of 2 images with the contrast of colours. Images look insane!
nope just one file, but the background and trees are certainly treated individually

Thank you for not overdoing those crazy transitions but it was pretty cool at around two minutes 10 seconds
Love how the aspens just jump out of the image!
