I hate this notion that western media keeps promoting that somehow Iranians are different species and we need to discover them. I have quite a few friends that have been to Iran and not a single one of them said something bad about Iran. The hate always comes from the ones that haven't even left their own country.

I'm from the U.S. Born and raised. I had the privilege to visit Iran twice within the last 3 years. It was absolutely beautiful!!! The people are so genuinely nice and hospitable. There was so much beautiful architecture and such profound history throughout the country. I always felt very, very safe as well. I agree to an extent. I think people should be able to do whatever they choose to do to themselves. If they hurt anyone or anything else, that is not something I can overlook. Otherwise, go for it......
