  • By the age of seventeen, Amal Ahamri was the face of the first all-women tbourida teams. An intimidating equestrian display, tbourida is a centuries-old competition in Morocco. But as Amal reaches her 30's and becomes pregnant with her second child, she falls from the spotlight. What she thought would be a short pause from the sport extends into several years, throwing into question her priorities and fears.

Amal is a remarkable woman who fills Moroccans with pride. She skillfully represents our country on the international stage through her Tbourida. Her natural and genuine demeanor sets her apart, making her truly extraordinary. As a Moroccan, I am immensely proud of her. This documentary deeply touched my heart, and I want to congratulate all Moroccans, especially Amal, for this achievement.

Great story! This is the first time experiencing this called Tbourida in Morocco. It means gunpowder which is an ancient equestrian art dating from the 15th century. I though there is a war with these weapons but it's not! This is the coolest thing that I have ever seen in my life. Thanks for showing me about it, NAT geographic!

Subtitles aren’t only for people with good vision!
I would love to have been able to understand what looked fascinating - but I’ll never know.
Larger subtitles would not have diminished the beauty of this mini doc, so why?

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard regarding the explanation of the adjective Moroccan.. Just leave Morocco in peace and take care of your business.. People of other countries of North Africa hate Moroccans but when it comes to our culture and traditions they say we are the same!!!!!... Hahahaha.. Just silly!!.. Leave us in peace! We, Moroccan, we don't have nothing in common with you others! Forget us!
