The single scene that secured Dalinar as one of my all time favorite literary characters of all time, "You cannot have my pain!", that resonated with me so deeply I teared up reading this...
Its because of THIS moment that Oathbringer is my absolute favorite of the series, I'll grant you that all the other books had some fantastic and unforgettable moments but none feel as POWERFUL as this one.
This is why Dalinar is my absolute favorite character of the series, Blackthorn is such a god damn badass.
What makes this awesome is that I disagree, Kaladin going back for Dalinar is my favorite, but every dope moment is valid

This and the Avengers assemble scene that follows is literally why its my favorite book in the whole cosmere
I agree. This is just the so epic. It is a conclusion of Dalinar's way, but it is not the end. I do not know what to write else.
@@passdoutcouchpotatos Please. This isn't the best scene. All of them are the best scenes! Brandon Sanderson is just a great author. Even the wors scenes give other scenes context making them better. You can't have the one scene without the rest.
I love Renarin's voice in this, he sounds like such a nerd and I'm 100% here for it. The rest is pretty good, 9/10 the audio feels just a little too fast.

Who knows.Personally I don't think there will be a second fusing like that of mistborn shards. And Brandon did spoil that Dalinar's ending is already been said in book 1 but we just aren't aware.

Honor and Odium together is War, I think he'll also take Cultivations power and become Unity
or War. Unity would be when he fully reunites adonalsium methinks
I've read a theory that Dalinar's fate is tied to some of the Death Rattles in wotk, foreboding his loss in the duel to Odium's champion

The thing I love most about this is it's a essentially a direct refutation of characters that say "I am what you made me."

I am someone who usually doesnt like audiobookd, preferring actual reading. But theese audiobooks are capable of rivaling it. Also I wonder how glory spren are related to the spiritual realm.
Wow hearing the graphic audio version is so weird when I’m used to the the Kramer/Reading audiobooks. Edit: Though Jasnah’s voice ain’t bad at all.
This might not be the best segment to show what graphic audio is capable of. I prefer Kramer/reading narration but man Graphic audio brings stormlight to life very well and they do such a fantastic job on some scenes! I love both.

Apparently the jasnah and renarin scene is the best one in the book according to Sanderson

going back to listen to this and then comparing to what they did with the GraphicAudio for Rhythm of War....its painful
I know right! I was really dissapointed in G.A. in Rhythm of war...I very much prefer Michael+Kate Reading narration

It was an unfortunate side effect of production issues during Covid
Epic scene. I really appreciate what graphic audio does, but I can not stop thinking that the audio is kinda polluted. I can not trade Kramer for this version.

Maybe changing the title would make the same effect, not mentioning the character. All that have read would understand

Agreed, I just re listened to this part read by Michael Kramer, I much prefer his voice acting edit, especially with narration sections
Yes, I very much prefer Michael Kramer's version! Howerver graphic audio is a different thing altogether and I guess concessions need to be made sometimes. Even then, I wish they had given it a more impactful voice to represent odium fully, maybe toss in some effect like with the stormfather.
I honestly prefer this one actually, he plays the part of a seemingly kindly old man, an understanding voice as sweet as honey yet laced with terrible poison. Its a good front for the horrible evil he truly is.
I’ve always enjoyed this nice old man voice. It’s how he wants to be seen.
