They need to make Stormlight into a tv show. I think animated like Clone Wars would be the right way to go to make the shardblades, spren, shardplate and colorful world of Roshar come to life (not to mention casting challenges since the humans don’t look exactly like humans here, plus the Singers/Listeners and their forms. Tough to pull off without a big budget and doing it on the cheap is such a disservice to the works.
Absolutely, I'd also say anime would be a great option, and with companies like Netflicks and Crunchyroll sponsoring anime studios to make shows now, perhaps that's an actual possibility. I mean imagine Mistborn if it was animated like Attack on Titan, or better yet, Fate: Unlimited Blade Works. It would be soooooo good!
I don't think that animes have the ability to emote the gamut of human emotions, the looks in the eyes, the expression of the face, the mere posture and tiny subtle or sub/unconscious signals and body language that good live actors do. With anime, they have to exaggerate these to convey them, and it's like watching overly emotive characters which spoil the scenes. 2 examples of this: good: Tyrion Lannister in GOT, over emotive: caricature of William Shatner as Cptn. Kirk, or most of Nicholas Cage roles. The only movie I've seen to come close to this is Avatar, but that was CGI over live actors. And given that in this books, human emotions, guilt, suffering, self doubt, self esteem, etc. play a big role, I would rather see a good cast do it.
@@xelasomar4614 I fundamentally agree but with some of the advanced CG in the latest Clone Wars and upcoming Bad Batch it does a lot better with showing emotions. Also hard to cast Rosharans when they’re not a represented race here.
+Lord Denithal Yes he does! I could do several videos about the stuff in Oathbringer. I just thought that was a hard fact to miss. But most travelers in the Cosmere who would hold investiture would have breath, you can get breath without needing any bind, genetic disposition, or spikes. Naturally it would be the first kind of investiture he would assume Kaladin to have.
TheBlueShifting speaking of breath. I’m curious as to how Vasher uses Stormlight to stay alive and if it’s a special capability of returned or if it’s something anyone could learn to do!
Yeah, but then he also curses by “Merciful Domi” of Elantris. When I was first reading this caused be to kinda lose it until I came to the conclusion that the Dor is the Shadesmar. I’m I initially ignored the Warbreaker part because of what +BlueShifting said.
In response to point 2: There’s a quote given by the sleepless to Lift in Edgedancer that is something like, “We had our eyes on the assassin, the surgeon, the liar, the highprince, but we didn’t notice you.” So I think that’s pretty definitive proof that they have been observing Kaladin, Shallan, and the rest. It’ll be interesting to see how that plays out during the rest of the Stormlight Archive, as well as potentially across the entire Cosmere. Edit: Damnation! I need to get more familiar with the Cosmere! I was only introduced to it a month or two ago... I am already enthralled and captivated by it, but I clearly have so much more to discover, learn, and realize about this universe.
Yessss I’ve been banging the Odium is influencing Scadrial drum for a while now. I couldn’t quite piece it together but Odium and Autonomy working together seems to make sense.
It really does, but there are still many people who disagree with us. I suppose we will just have to wait to find out but I'd be disappointed if Brandon went to all the trouble to give the evil Kandra red eyes and to point it out if there was no connection to void spren.
Yeah, I agree about the canned food coming from Scadrial. WoB says that it was one of the most popular goods that was shipped through the Pits of Hathsin during the era of the Final Empire.
Yeah, I think it just shows how ruthless jasnah is. She is like the living embodiment of "ends justify the means." It's funny since I think her and Taravangian would get along better than she does with nearly anyone else
Absolutely, we really don't know what side of this conflict they will fight on but it's unlikely they will content themselves to sit back and watch. There is something they are protecting on that strange island surrounded by spikes.
Hmm I'd be hesitant to go with that idea for two reasons. First, we already know about several shards of Honor aka the Honor Blades so it seems likely that this is a different mystery all together. Second, we still don't know anything about the Dawn Shards, except that they are incredibly powerful. I think that island is hiding those away and that they are connected to the destruction of Ashyn. Now perhaps we can get some WoB on this but I currently can't find anything besides RAFO.
What is your theory concerning The Listeners, Parshendi spren and the death/live cycle of the Listeners? Its probably not true, but I had a feeling that maybe, just maybe the little spren that bonded Venli is actually her sister Eshonai.
I wish we were right about that. I remember thinking that as well. (But the book pretty much says that she is the daughter of the spren who captained the ship that first carried Kal and the others in Shadesmar. I think that parshendi are very similar in spirit to humans. I think the void spren are corrupted cognitive shadows that Odium uses like hacked programs to do his bidding.
According to Brandon's quiz on his site I was a truthwatcher. I think that is probably accurate but I thought I was a better fit for Edgdancer or Willshaper. Im very scientific minded and like to work out issues, and I love travel and am absolutely quirky. But its important to remember that the spen are drawn by designing traits but that each radiant would be unique from the others so I would probably be a trutheatcher who loved to study and travel.
Lending credence to your theories on Wax & Wayne, this is from last year's state of the Sanderson: I consider Wax and Wayne’s final book to be imperative to finish before I start Stormlight Five.
I don't think its a coincidence that alloy of law has be slated to be published specifically after Rythm of War. I think we will see a strong connection between the two books.
Thanks for that video. Regarding the golden Lightbringer dagger...So then one day Moash, our currently hated double agent, hands off the daggers sapphire sphere to Kaladin for him to ingest/invest/imbue and voila Super Heraldic Windrunner Knight Radiant. All of Sanderson fans minds being blown at once = amazing. Too bad I'll be about 72 when Brandon finishes book 10. :(
1 unity is closer to adonalsium then honor. 2 It would look like that Shallan has her shardplate unlocked, as Radiant is the reil Shallan in the fight against odium's forces. 3 Kelsier his lost inife from Khriss? (Spelling) kinda feels like a chekhov's knife.
WoB: Oct/15/2019, tags Color, Corrupted investiture . So he indirectly kinda says it's not Odium attacking Scadrel. Also that when investiture on a realm is corrupted, the user's eyes turn red. So I doubt it's Odium's influence there. The other thing that is more grasping at straws is there is a reference on Autonomy that they generate shardes of themselves that act independent of the main shard. I think this was Kriss' notes on them. And that they don't necessarily work in Autonomy's interests. IIRC this is from Arcanium Unbound. So that lends to Video creator's hypothesis that it maybe autonomy attacking. Further evidence is t hat in each realm, the shard's influence is a theme of the writing. White Sands: Everyone is trying to act independent to each other and grudgingly work together. Elantris: You have factions wrestling with the devotion to causes, people, or what ever. Also factions trying to gain dominion over each other. Mistborn Era 1: People ruining things or trying to preserve things. Era 2, trying to find Harmony in the factions of a city or in the greater valley... And you also have invaders that are acting sim-indipendently from each other and those that are breaking from Harmony and gaining... autonomy. And in the Bands of Mourning even more so as Wax tries to shake the yoke that Harmony has placed on him and gain autonomy of his own. So you certainly have something going there.
Alloy of Law is after Stormlight Archive 5. So your thought that Odium's voidspren are helping on Scadrial before Oathbringer can only work if they are doing so before the main plotline of the Wax and Wayne books.
That is exactly what I am thinking. Obviously I don't know the exact layout of the timeline and the restrictions but the sign of the corrupted investiture is compelling. My largest over site is that the void spren might have just come over from the Cognitive Realm of Ashen which might happen to reside in the direction of the land of mists. So I easily could be mistaken.
That sixth thing blew my mind!!!! I'm so excited. All I have left to read of the published Cosmere work is Warbreaker, which I will probably get to in the next month or two.
The Expanse of the Imagination probably has nothing to do with Scadrial. If anything, it’s Braize’s Expanse. Red eyes isn’t a sign of Odium, it’s a sign of corrupted Investiture, or Investiture that is being co-opted by another Shard. Autonomy and Odium are working together, but Odium at this point can’t leave the system. Autonomy is likely acting under orders to make sure Odium doesn’t have any problems from Harmony, the only Shard that scares him. Also on the note of the dagger, did you notice that it’s gem was a Sapphire, which correlates to Jezrien’s order. I am 100% sure that these weapons have nothing to do with splintering Shards or Adonalsium, they are just tools, probably made from Odium’s godmetal, made to capture or permanently destroy the Heralds, as a way of getting free of the Rosharan system.
1. EoI - You misheard. He said Expanse of Vapors leads to Scandrial, not Nexus of Imagination which is where the Void spren were seen as originating from. 2. Colors - Much Debated, I feel the colors indicate Intent more than state of Corruption Odium's presented (preferred?) colors are White and Gold, as everything on Roshar is "Corrupted" by 3 shards, everything would be red and on Scandrial and Sel most things would be red as well. Red seems to indicate the Intent to do Harm perhaps rage, Ruin Presents as Red and Black (Blood on Ash, how beautiful - Marsh's Ruin Dominated Mind) Black - Death and Destruction. Honor presents as White and Blue. The Gold color might represent Greed/Avarice as Sanderson has used such words to describe Odium. Cultivation presents as Green and Black (Sanderson said that Ruin and Cultivation shared the Death component of their nature) Endowment presents as Every Color, because the Intent isn't as important as the giving (endowing) the power upon another. Intent would explain why the colors change, like the eye color of the shades, and many other examples. 3. Dagger - I am right there with you on the dagger 100%.
A shard could also be shattered, or at least severly weakened, by acting against its intent. Honor couldn't act dishonorable, and Cultivation can't stop growth.
You are very likely correct, and we should also remember that after a few millennia, shards really arent people anymore. They simply are, the body of who they once were is more of a shell.
+Glorfindel & Bilbo Animations I know! But remember this is mostly little things I noticed plus some theorizing so we will see if I got anything right...
Thank you! I might have more if I was focused on Cosmere stuff but I love VNs for their great stories as well. Ill always make Cosmere content. Thanks for the great comment.
Oh man number 6 was just kinda 🤯 for me. I remember the spen talking about the void spren coming back, but I just didnt even think about the ramifications of the void spren coming from somewhere
I thought so, at least it seemed to be one by the same artist but at the time this idea was not confirmed or anything so it wasn't included because it seemed far too speculative. But I think you are right.
Each planet has a Cognitive Realm and they are connected/can be traveled between. However each realm is shaped by the collective subconscious of the people so they each look different. They do share general rules and appearances. So each world we have solid mass where water is and seas of thought where land tends to be. You also would see the same too-small sun no matter where you travel through the Cognitive Realm.
I think we need to see the cognative realm as equivalent to the physical. There is one physical realm... you can travel through space to different planets within it but it is all one realm. The cognative realm is a second realm, the realm of thought and ideas and there is one cognative realm however you can travel to different parts of it just as you can travel to different parts of the physical. The spiritual realm is another and once again their is only one... though "everything's connected in the spiritual realm" as time and space kind of run together there which is why I don't think Brandon is going to take us there. That's the final mystery and I think he likes it that way. So the thoughts and concepts of people on Scadrial form a distinct part of the cognative realm just and the thoughts and concepts of Roshar form a distinct location in the cognative realm. There are still the same realm just parted by a 'distance' but movement through the cognative is different than movement through physical space. So at this level of technology it is easier to world hop via cognative thought than it is through physical space travel. Also I am pretty sure the theory that Trell is an aspect of Autonomy is the right one. However it is hard to be sure because autonomy is straight up weird!
@@nameymcnameface6657 Yes, the red mist is named Nergaoul, is one of the "mindless" Unmade. The Three "mindless" unmade are Nergaoul (The Thrill), Moelach (the cause of the death rattles), and Ashtertmarn (The Heart of the Revel). The Thrill is a mobile entity, which inhabited Alethkar for a long time, leading to the Alethi-unique affinity for war. It then moves to Vedenar sometime during Words of Radiance, which causes the Veden civil war. In Oathbringer, Odium brings it to Thaylen city. Ashertmarn seems to have been corrupting Kholinar for a while, leading to Queen Aesudan's greedy excess in rule. She was also being corrupted by Yelig-Nar. I believe Yelig-Nar is the same unmade that Amaram welcomed into his body before fighting Kaladin in Thaylen City.
I think Odium's magic is capable of imitating other Shards investiture. That's why he has his own version of Spren, Surges and Stormlight, and could explain the Kandra with the red eyes as being an imitation of Ruin's?
We will for sure, and you can see all my Cosmere content on my second channel Letters From The Cosmere. I archive all my Cosmere stuff and even have a couple new letters there. I didn't want my less frequent Cosmere content to always be drown by my Visual Novel content. Please follow me there for more updates and playlists!
The dagger used to kill the Herald was a spren. Spren can kill other Spren. like when Sil was used to kill the Spren tormenting and torturing the Kings son. The glow at in the Gem stone was the Spren being woken up. like when Szeth uses his new sword. I think. Its kinda the logical easy answer. but it fits.
A very interesting view point, and I hope we can get some WoB on the matter soon. However you could probably argue that all objects are spren in some regard. But a void shard blade? Yes I'd wager that is a real thing, Odium mimics every other aspect of surgbinding.
TheBlueShifting Odium only mimics 9 of the surgebindings, and each of the surgebindings are alittle different. Ruin was the one that could perfectly copy another shard's "blessings" but at a reduction of "power" or intensity as required by Ruin's purpose. I think odium can take most of a shard's blessings and make them more powerful, akin to how Ruin can take any one of all the blessings and makes them weaker there is always a loss in intensity and diversity when using hemaleurgy, Perhaps Odium sacrifices some diversity but gains in intensity, but perhaps sacrifices some control as well, as we have seen high emotional states reduces control and Odium is all about high emotional states.
Thank you! The Cosmere themed content has slowed down (mostly because I've covered most the basics) but I plan to continue the "things you might have missed" series. Most of my content revolves around Visual Novels which are some of the best story craftings that I've ever read. It might seem off but these are both passions of mine and so I'll keep making content for both.
One thing I've been wondering is that Kal is really beginning to relate to Syl almost as a "love". He doesn't connect well with human women. Honestly, what human woman could compete with Syl? Their time in shadesmar showed that sprin have an almost human presence there. What would happen if Syl and Kal took it to the next level in Shadesmar, would the merging of Kal and Syl open the ways for birth of new Sprin?
What if the red mist around Scadrial is an Unmade? Dai-gonarthis hasn't been confirmed on Roshar for a while, but he was mentioned in Death Rattles so he might show up. However, Chemoarish is also gone and there's much less info about her, not even Death Rattles proclaiming her arrival or anything.
Hmm that is an interesting idea. I'd think that a planet wide attack on harmony wouldn't be that big if a deal if it was an unmade. While powerful they are still small on the scale of Fulk Shards. However, we don't know if they might become something greater, perhaps if Odium was splintered they might take his broken power... however I'm skeptical of this idea, it's seems more likely that a shard is involved.
Spoilers!!!! Great vid. While reading the cosmere it has been fun to watch wit or hoid collect powers. Secret historys has him getting the same mettle venture used to become a mistborn. War breaker shows him on world and his comments in stormlight archive about colors and perfect pitch seem to indicate he has some level of heightening. In stromlight archive he may have stolen an honorblade... maybe? But it seems he's bonded a cryptic to become a lightweaver or knight radiant. So that's mist born, radiant, and some level of heightening. Anything else I'm missing?
+Lord Denithal Well he has magic from Yolen as well, (apparently he can lightweave with the Yolen magic) He also took the Moon Scepter from sel wheb he failed to become an Elantrian. I think that's all I know about.
TheBlueShifting well he definitely wants the ridiculously overpowered elantrian investiture considering how it allows literally anyone to access the full scope of the fundamental power of all investiture by basically creating or writing code that fundamentally changes the universe
I forget where I heard this but isn’t Braize near the scadriel side of Shadesmar too? (I think Braize is south and scadriel is south-east) that could just be Fam theory’s but I thought there was some WoB to that. Either way, I think you’re right or close to right. Either Odium has been influencing Scadriel for awhile before Stormlight 1 or he’ll escape and go there after Stormlight 5
You are right, and it might be that simple. But I just can't get past the corralation with the glowing red eyes. I think Brandon was trying to draw the line intentionally.
So here is my crazy theory about cosmere. I feel the whole concept of adonalsium is misunderstood. When you look at a periodic chart, you see words like magnesium, potassium, Europium, uranium, Atium. Are you seeing a pattern? Adonalsium wasn't a being it was a "metal" or element capable of producing huge amounts of power. I believe there was one person who had access to that power. I believe wit is the one who had sole access to this power. Here are some quotes hoid was shared with through the series. began life as a thought, a concept, words on a page. That was another thing I stole. Myself. Another time, I was named for a rock.” A pretty one, I hope. A beautiful one,” the man said. “And one that became completely worthless for my wearing it. Hoid to kaladin. Hoid or wit or whatever you want to call him had sole access to what he calls a rock. It became useless once he used it. I feel that is him saying he lost its power because it was shattered. People who shattered it took upon fragments of the elements power. Oathbringers give a lot of hints as to the state of humanity when the ultimate power was shattered. Sounds almost like there was a Civil War of sorts. Humans came to the land asking parshendi to help them. However humans brought their gods with them. Humans enslaved parshendi. If i had to guess humans used space travel to get to Roshar.]
Andol isn't a god. Andol is an ultimate source of power. The different shards all manifest different forms of power by consuming something. Mistborne is metal, way of kinds was stormlight. Wit can see through all of them. Andol was something like metals or stormlight but infinite and all encompassing. Andol wasn't consumed when it was used like stormlight and metals
It seems obvious to me that the human race settled on other planets by traveling through the cognitive realm. Hoid seems to do this throughout time sense he appears in every series written by Sanderson.
@@Tom-vg5nb if by space travel you mean world hopping through the cognitive realm. Its more like interdimensional travel. Azure talk about traveling by ship through Shademar to find Zahel.
Twice, we have confirmed that one of the strangers looking for Hoid in the pure lake was Galladon from Elantris and the fortune teller in the lighthouse. (The lighthouse man was the more obvious) However neither one of them are described as having silvery skin that glows softly. They appear to be normal.
Tomas Apud yeah the elantrian investiture was basically described as being able to hack the fundamental properties of the universe allowing insanely powerful things like traveling several miles across the ocean in one spell or maybe converting investiture and that’s why hoid desperately wanted the ability because he would’ve been able to do some very insane things with it considering what he knows about the entire cosmere
The lighthouse keeper, he makes a direct reference to Domi and has a picture of Elantris in his home. Brandon has later confirmed this. coppermind.net/wiki/Riino You also have seen someone else from Elantris, at the Pure Lake. Look into the three strangers who are looking for Hoid. One is an Elantrian, and one is a Scadrian. It's really cool how many crossovers there are.
@@TheBlueShifting Oh man I didn't even make that connection!! I was wondering what was so special about them. I felt like that scene was just put in there to draw more focus to Hoid and talk a little about the Pure Lake.
Oh yeah, the layers get deeper with every book. And Brandon has said we still haven't caught all his worldhoppers yet. It's my favorite kind of Easter eggs.
@@TheBlueShifting Absolutely, I can't wait for his next book. Finally doing Wheel of Time now, while I wait. I read that link you posted for Riino, and I'm a bit confused. I missed the connection with him because he clearly didn't fully recover from being Hoed, but he is not a muttering madman anymore. Did he simply not fully recover because was not in his homeland at the time Elantris was restored? Or does it have something to do with the Cognitive Realm that saved him from madness without restoring his body fully? Obviously he wouldn't be glowing and have access to Aondor since he was in a different world, but did being cut off from its magic, also cut him off from the corruption that prevented his body from healing itself? If that's the case I can see how he would eventually recover from his madness since it was caused by the years of excruciating pain.
I believe you are on the right track. The Haode happened because the Elantrians no longer had access to their investiture and on Sel the power of their shards is locked in the cognitive realm. I imagine that helped a lot even if it didn't fully restore him. Then all he would need to do is gain access to a consistent source of investiture like breath or stormlight. I don't know how, but that alone would have likely been enough.
Yes they made their appearance before, specifically in the novella Edgedancer. Here is a link to some WoB: wob.coppermind.net/adv_search/?query=Sleepless
Trell is definitely a reference to Autonomy because there's a character called Trell in White Sand volume 2. Whether he is already an avatar of Bavadin at the time, or his name is just used later, that strongly connects the new "Trellism" to Taldain. I have some theories on what is attacking Scadrial. (1) It's Autonomy and its minions, as demonstrated by the Trell worshiping and the ideology of its agents. (2) It's whatever was the enemy of Adonalsium. I think it's definitely connected to (3) the Deniers of Masks and (4) Taln's Scar/Red Rip/Starbelt. I don't know if those are also connected to 1 or 2, but I think so. It may even be both 1 and 2, with 3 and 4 mixed into it. I don't buy the Odium connection. He is bound to Roshar by a pact made with Honor and Cultivation. Not the Oathpact, a totally separate one that still holds.
Ah. But while Odium is trapped in Roshar, his followers may not be so limited. Also it is possible that Odium could be free by Mistborn Era 2 which we know occurs near the same time as the Stormlight archive. We don't know how things end on Roshar, perhaps Odium and his followers will be set loose.
I think it has to do with the nature of the Shards and how they change you. SPOILERS FOR ALL COSMERE: Harmony is a good example. He has achieved a balance with his powers but struggles to act without disrupting that balance. He is the most powerful of the current shares but also the most limited. Odium I think will never allow himself to be burdened by a second ideal that would prevent him from achieving his ambitions. But that brings up ambition, one of the first shards he hunted down. I suspect that he did take up the power of ambition because it matches his personality so well. Now obviously that may not be the case but I have been contemplating it for some time now and hope to get some WoB on the subject asap.
Oh wow. Thats interesting. He would definitely want the power and not be afraid of the nature of ambition. I wonder which other shards would he want? What about dominion, did Odium take up the power of dominion as well!? I don't think he would want the others apart from Ruin. Is Odium actually a combination of shards more powerful than harmony!?
Perhaps, but he can't be too strong as of yet because we know that he is afraid of what Harmony has become. I think it is safe to assume that Odium left Dominion as it is the constant clashing of Dominion and Devotion's power in the Cognitive realm that makes Sel such a dangerous place to World-hop to. Since I posted these others have pointed out that Odium might still fear to pollute himself with other investiture no matter how similar they appear. We will just have to find out as we go.
Really interesting conversation. I adhere to the idea Odium doesn't want to dilute his intent. I also think Odium doesn't think like us. He isn't actually just amassing power, I don't think ultimate power is necessarily that important to him. I think he's just a manipulative and selfish individual who then got all of 'God's divine hatred' without the rest of the attributes that gave it context. I think he HATES the other shards and their holders and indeed the cosmere. I think that hatred may have started with good reason but now it has grown beyond the mortal man Raze and is unreasoning. He will just destroy until there is nothing left. Also when listening to some WOBs and other discussion it seems clear that when Odium destroyed Ambition and Devotion he wasn't very good at killing Shards. Brandon has suggested he did a much better job with Honour than he did with them. As we know their investiture is trapped in Sel's cognative realm and makes it untravellable. I wonder if it is still inheritable because of that. I wonder (If I am wrong in my previous paragraph's assumtions) if the reason Odium didn't absorb Ambition's Shard was that he could not at the time for he didn't understand how to and barely understood yet how to destroy a Shard.
Honor itself was an interesting Shard - by its nature, it tends towards absolute deontological morality, albeit one where the rules are exactly the oaths one has sworn. In particular, in such systems, it is very possible to not only have two perfectly good-aligned oaths contradict one another, but even for a single sufficiently general oath - such as the Radiant oaths - to contradict itself. The only way out of such paradoxes - which might very well be a matter of life and death for Honorspren, if not all spren - is to 'step outside the system', and use some combination of munchkining, Exact Words, and rules lawyering to patch the system. Some *cough*Hofstadter*cough* would say that such is necessary for and induces sentience...
Omg listening to this makes me think a) how do you even keep all this straight? And where do you compile all this information? b) how do you not laugh at me when i talk about my thoughts...?? Hahaha you have to bring it down a few notches! 😉
+Nick Acton Actually they are a couple old cribs that we haven't decided where to put yet, but hopefully we will get them out soon. And I'm glad you liked it.
Anyone else think Wit is the best character? my only problem is he reminds me of the fool from that Robin Hobb trilogy I could never finish (and we know Sanderson read Robin Hobb)
Wit is quite an enigma. We know so little about him and his mission. However he is far more involved in the Stormlight series than in the others so far. I'm curious what he will be about in Rhythms of War.
We know know that men destroyed there world and odium obviously followed hens when we are told that men followed odium before finding honor that explains why odium and his spren come from smoke cause he/they have no real power except from man's need for more!!!
+Hey Tony I hope you are must trolling, because I did everything in my power to stop people from watching this if they weren't up to date with everything.
There’s always another secret.
Always :)
Love this.
@@TheBlueShifting IT have to be anime. Giant swords? Check. Glowing, flying people? Check. Giant monsters? Check.
I’ve been saying this for a while. Anime or CG series faithful to the books would be amazing.
Doesn't the light house guy ask what heightening kaladin is?
+Lord Denithal Yes he does! I could do several videos about the stuff in Oathbringer. I just thought that was a hard fact to miss.
But most travelers in the Cosmere who would hold investiture would have breath, you can get breath without needing any bind, genetic disposition, or spikes. Naturally it would be the first kind of investiture he would assume Kaladin to have.
TheBlueShifting makes perfect sense
YES! i'm so glad you brought this up! this was on my mind the whole time!!

In response to point 2:
There’s a quote given by the sleepless to Lift in Edgedancer that is something like, “We had our eyes on the assassin, the surgeon, the liar, the highprince, but we didn’t notice you.”
So I think that’s pretty definitive proof that they have been observing Kaladin, Shallan, and the rest. It’ll be interesting to see how that plays out during the rest of the Stormlight Archive, as well as potentially across the entire Cosmere.
Edit:
Damnation!
There's an article in era 2 Mistborn newspapper speaking about PASSION and FREEDOM, maybe fireshadowing the Shards influencing Scadrial
@@joaofarias9986 Passion and Freedom combine give us Revolution.
Moash is probably gonna go on a Herald hunt. The only one that he would probably have trouble with is Nale because he is probably the most stable.
What about the God-King guy? He might be crazy but he seems to have his stuff together.
Yeah, I agree about the canned food coming from Scadrial. WoB says that it was one of the most popular goods that was shipped through the Pits of Hathsin during the era of the Final Empire.
i am soo annoyed that jasnah would want to kill the heralds when the stormfather specificly said that voidspren dont return to damnation anymore
Yeah it did seem extremely. And like we know they would probably just come right back. AND the Everstorm... yeah Roshar is in a bit of a tight spot.
Yeah, I think it just shows how ruthless jasnah is. She is like the living embodiment of "ends justify the means." It's funny since I think her and Taravangian would get along better than she does with nearly anyone else
have you noticed that one dead creature made up from cremlings in one of dalinar's visions of previous desolations?
Absolutely, we really don't know what side of this conflict they will fight on but it's unlikely they will content themselves to sit back and watch. There is something they are protecting on that strange island surrounded by spikes.
@@TheBlueShifting what do you think about the idea, that the thing on the island is some part of the Shard Odium killed, aka Honour?
If I was a Radient I would definitely be an edge dancer. Even though light weavers are my favourite. What would you be?
According to Brandon's quiz on his site I was a truthwatcher. I think that is probably accurate but I thought I was a better fit for Edgdancer or Willshaper. Im very scientific minded and like to work out issues, and I love travel and am absolutely quirky.
But its important to remember that the spen are drawn by designing traits but that each radiant would be unique from the others so I would probably be a trutheatcher who loved to study and travel.
Thanks for suggesting the graphic novel to Brandon!
Hahaha well I doubt I was the first by a long shot. I mean he grew up reading comic books so I'm sure he always liked the idea.
72, that's the age Lord Voldemort died at...
I can't hate Moash, I just know he'll redeem himself! He's just in a dark place right now.
Thanks for mentioning Lightbringer. That has been on my mind since I saw the video 😛
I hope you’re right, though. I was really looking forward to seeing Jezrien interact with someone
Im glad you liked it. And you will love Warbreaker I think. The magic system alone is wonderfully interesting to read about.
Read and Find Out I hope you enjoy Warbreaker! It is one of my favorites 😁
Just finished oath bringer today and am now cought up in the cosmere. Look forward to watching this video
It’s pretty interesting to look back on videos like these and read peoples theories.
That last one blew my mind!😱 I can't wait to see what future books reveal about it!!
+Glorfindel & Bilbo Animations I know! But remember this is mostly little things I noticed plus some theorizing so we will see if I got anything right...

Oh man number 6 was just kinda 🤯 for me. I remember the spen talking about the void spren coming back, but I just didnt even think about the ramifications of the void spren coming from somewhere
Did you notice the painting they discussed the price of was Lightsongs?
I thought so, at least it seemed to be one by the same artist but at the time this idea was not confirmed or anything so it wasn't included because it seemed far too speculative. But I think you are right.
TheBlueShifting it got RAFO’d if I remember correctly. I wonder if that will be in stormlight or Nightblood’s future book
My money is on Stormlight. I mean with Azure and Zhile (spelling?) On Roshar and that painting nearby it seems the most likely.
I wanna know who Trell is and whats the red mist is.
Also, is the Cognitive realm for each planet or does it contain it all?
However it is hard to be sure because autonomy is straight up weird!
the red mist from the battle of Thaylen Field was one of the unmade.
Such a great quality video! You deserve many more followers! 😄

If in the next book Moash starts talking to the Dagger then im proven right.
A very interesting view point, and I hope we can get some WoB on the matter soon. However you could probably argue that all objects are spren in some regard. But a void shard blade? Yes I'd wager that is a real thing, Odium mimics every other aspect of surgbinding.
TheBlueShifting
Odium only mimics 9 of the surgebindings, and each of the surgebindings are alittle different.
I think it is a kind of hemallurgy
Note: the Dysian Amians are the ones who wrote the synopses on the backs of the books.
Wait, who’s the other Elantrian on Roshar?
Galadin has been confirmed as one of the strangers at the pure lake who was looking for Hoid.
TheBlueShifting oh right, one of them mentioned domi or something

If you suddenly felt some serious squint eye action directed at you, that was me, when you made with the whole "Sanderspren" business.
Sanderspren!
One thing I've been wondering is that Kal is really beginning to relate to Syl almost as a "love". He doesn't connect well with human women. Honestly, what human woman could compete with Syl? Their time in shadesmar showed that sprin have an almost human presence there. What would happen if Syl and Kal took it to the next level in Shadesmar, would the merging of Kal and Syl open the ways for birth of new Sprin?
interesting concept
The bond between strength and their bonded human is WAY more intimate that a lovers relationship.
Ok, how do we know that Way of Kings and Mistborn 2 are happening at the same time? Is there a cosmere timeline out there?
Its not 100% but Brandon in interviews has stated that these potiond of the timeline line up. Pretty close.
wob.coppermind.net/events/260/#e8747
Wow, thx! :)
I've literally thought this myself!
TheBlueShifting i forgot about that what power does the septor give him?
We aren't sure yet, but we think it somehow gives him access to the Dor, perhaps he can use it to make himself an Elantrian...
TheBlueShifting well he definitely wants the ridiculously overpowered elantrian investiture considering how it allows literally anyone to access the full scope of the fundamental power of all investiture by basically creating or writing code that fundamentally changes the universe
Really good video! A pretty nice refresher before RoW
Myself. Another time, I was named for a rock.”
A pretty one, I hope.
@@jca66 they did it with space travel.
Future mistborne will be sci fi books I believe
@@Tom-vg5nb if by space travel you mean world hopping through the cognitive realm. Its more like interdimensional travel. Azure talk about traveling by ship through Shademar to find Zahel.
A strange crystal? That sounds like a thing seen in secret history
I thought that.
where did we see an Elantrian that doesn't look like an Elantrian in the Stormlight Archives?
Twice, we have confirmed that one of the strangers looking for Hoid in the pure lake was Galladon from Elantris and the fortune teller in the lighthouse. (The lighthouse man was the more obvious)
However neither one of them are described as having silvery skin that glows softly. They appear to be normal.
Simple, an illusion
Tomas Apud yeah the elantrian investiture was basically described as being able to hack the fundamental properties of the universe allowing insanely powerful things like traveling several miles across the ocean in one spell or maybe converting investiture and that’s why hoid desperately wanted the ability because he would’ve been able to do some very insane things with it considering what he knows about the entire cosmere
Who is the Elantrian on Roshar that you mentioned?
The lighthouse keeper, he makes a direct reference to Domi and has a picture of Elantris in his home. Brandon has later confirmed this.
coppermind.net/wiki/Riino
You also have seen someone else from Elantris, at the Pure Lake.
I don't know how, but that alone would have likely been enough.
what are sleepless? First time heard of them, is ther world of brandon on them
Yes they made their appearance before, specifically in the novella Edgedancer. Here is a link to some WoB: wob.coppermind.net/adv_search/?query=Sleepless

Bridge Four for liiiiffe
You are so lovely! Thanks for such a great video
I won't rule out an Odium connection, but I still doubt it. I think Odium is a strictly Stormlight Archive villain.
i don't get why odium doesn't take the power of the shards he kills
I think it has to do with the nature of the Shards and how they change you.
SPOILERS FOR ALL COSMERE:
Harmony is a good example.
We will just have to find out as we go.
good theory! you might be right, ambition certainly does match odium's nature
Awesome video! Thank you for uploading (o:
Thank you! I loved making it. I hope to make this into a kind if series as each book comes.
#1: of course. They are manifestations of humans. Of course honor tried to win
No I think the blade is a spirit fabrial

We know know that men destroyed there world and odium obviously followed hens when we are told that men followed odium before finding honor that explains why odium and his spren come from smoke cause he/they have no real power except from man's need for more!!!
how could they not have any real power if they had dawn shards and used them to destroy an entire world?
Are you drunk?
I wish you had given a spoiler warning. I haven't read the book.
I think the title of the video implies spoilers.
+Hey Tony I hope you are must trolling, because I did everything in my power to stop people from watching this if they weren't up to date with everything.
This video had possibly the biggest spoiler warning ever, you must be trolling.
@@TheBlueShifting He definitely is.
I missed it all because Way of Kings is boring and bad writing. Why would I pick up another lame ass fantasy book with a bunch of Gary Stu's?
