I have a question. I found 20$ pads by “eight ball by triple eight” is that legit you guys or is it a fake. Bought em’, seemed worth it. Saved my knees a few times already.
Thank you triple 8. I have finally found a helmet that fits well, feels soft, certified and does not fall off when shaking head. Amazing purchase, highly recommend.
I got a certified triple 8 and the extra padding makes it not fit my head, it’s like an inch over my ears, but uncertified ones fit great but not as protective
Sean M I ended up returning it to tactics it just didn’t feel like it stayed on my head. Ordered an uncertified protec, like I had as a kid and it fits perfectly. I highly doubt I’m slamming my head I just thought certified would be better
Don't skimp. The reason you're buying a helmet is IF you take that slam to the dome. And IF you do, you'll be glad you had real protection. Certified sweatsaver comes with extra pads to size up if you need to. Measure the circumference of your head with a phone charger then use measuring tape. My cranium is a 22.5 so I got the L/XL and it fits fine. Always size up if you're at the cusp of sizing.
Holy smokes- I love this helmet. I’m a big sweater especially in the summer heat- and boy does this helmet not only make my confidence go up- it makes the total time in a skate sesh go way up without having to deal with annoying sweat in my eye!
I bought one and it fits a TINY bit snug, but the padding will break in and I can tell it's gonna be perfect. Probably best that it fits slightly snug anyways, don't want it wobbling around on my head.
Is Bell the one he said he wore and felt like a dork but kept repeating it was the best then had one of his worst head injuries with it before changing to triple 8 or is it the other way around? P.S. I know people talk about him not wearing a helmet and I'm sure he doesn't when he's normally riding but I imagine he also wears one every time he tries something new or an old trick that is hard to get.
@@tripleeightnyc That's great! For what you get I think Triple 8 is reasonably priced but I was looking through there and the only one that will fit me is THE HEED since my head is somewhere around 24"+ which has no certifications . I would take a wild guess and say it's better than no protection but it's like skate shoes, I wear a 3E and skate shoes are narrow and eventually my foot is hanging over the edges of the sole. Not that I think the helmet would stretch out (heh) but everything for skating seems to be made too small.
@@tripleeightnyc Took me a sec, I thought you meant the Tony Hawk signature but I see it now. I really like the black and blue one but it doesn't come in that size and other people seems to like it pretty good because it's out of stock.
Just came across this after a few years. Forgot to mention that my head is somewhere between a 24.5in and 25.5in (depending on what or whose measuring tool I use).
Is the newer, thinner version of the sweat saver Wakeboard/Watersports friendly? I had the old one with the thicker pads, but after a couple falls, it always seemed to get heavy because the pads would absorb some of the water.
He says that the ones that fit comfier/snugger were the ones that were all padding, and offered no support, where the certified ones never fit him right. This one does both for him.
Tony just convinced me.

Sold! The black glossy design matches my skates exactly, so it's an easy decision.

Bell came before Triple Eight. He liked the Certified Sweatsaver helmet and joined the team because of it 👍

@@DunderHead.5000 The Certified Sweatsaver (same helmet as Tony) now comes in XL/XXL and should fit up to 24.5 inches. Comes in black and white.
