As a guy who used to deliver furniture I always found it hilarious when customers told us to take our time.. 1) we are paid commission so we are going to do the delivery as quickly as possible(within safety constraints) 2) we have 12-20 deliveries per day(100-300+ miles/day) and want to get home at a reasonable time (hence why we start work @ 5AM)

Either way, when I hire people to do something for me I value their time very much and try my best to make their job as easy as possible within reason. Someone asking a furniture delivery guy to disassemble a bunk bed and haul it to the curb and move a bedroom full of furniture while also telling us to "take our time" is a customer whos under the impression of either 1) these guys are obligated to help me move furniture since they deliver it or 2) "the guys made me here so I better get my money's worth out of this delivery". Trust me, you can tell who are the good customers right away when you enter the home. They will have the room clean, know EXACTLY where they want it, etc and if they don't know they will often say just leave it in the garage. The sense of entitlement is obvious, and if you don't understand this you probably haven't no experience in service industry.

I'm not an shole so being understanding of their position I just hucked the lumber from where it was left. We all have a job to do and nobodys job is more important. It's all cogs in the wheel. So a special thanks to this that make it happen and go the extra mile and understand what I'm saying and an extra special screw you to those bosses and people who think the world revolves around them.
I commend you on your job, I drove semi for over 35yrs and I have had to deliver to people like you do going over the road, some of them I could deal with and there were others I just had to tell them to go to hell, I have left some customers loads at a warehouse before, it all depended on their attitude.

I wouldn’t have ever taken that load, look at the trailers tires!!!!! I know it’s not your responsibility but safty 101 would tell any seasoned driver to change the baldies. From multiple videos it seems you know your jeep quite well, know it’s tires, know it’s limits but I disagree on most of your claims. I personally would help customers to exactly what they want because in return you will be honored and most likely tipped well. Instead of being so scared to help a customer, I would suggest having a written waiver from your company (not Home Depot) saying that you void all damage to deliver (per customer request) product to_________. I’m a rigger for a living and constantly move things greater in weight and greater in size into smaller spaces with less tools you have. Back into their driveway perhaps? Have strips of plywood for asphalt, consider talking to Home Depot and getting tire socks that can take pressure off your cantilever. I’m sure you can get paid way more for just thinking smart. Don’t degrade yourself to “curbside delivery”!!!!

I had a guy complain I left light tire marks on a white cement driveway. They were so light you had to look closely. I guess he wanted the delivery for free.
My county had 6 or 7 Friendly's at one time. Now there is just one. I know they had one at Universal Orlando at one time, but I believe I heard that was closing too. I live in MA where the franchise began.
This should've of been titled "Back to the Future Delivery, July 30, 2021". I can appreciate the customers good attitude. He stated that he didn't know what size the truck would be. H.D. communication failure. Sure, bring on the wood working channel. As a cabinetmaker, I wouldn't recommend pallet wood for a crib or similar items. Some serious precautions would have to taken to make it safe for your kid.

The waiver of liability is only a deterrent and the shipper does not honor it. Customers far too often use our delivery companies as cash cows for going above and beyond.

I ordered $3000.00 of fencing from Home Depot and thought they would have to leave it on the driveway. They managed to get it through the old gate onto my back patio.

This is one of the problems with a huge percentage of commercial buildings today - especially hotels. It seems that Receiving is the last thing to be considered when laying out a site plan. I know of a hotel in Vegas, that if it was built per original plans, the area given to receiving would have accommodated just 2 medium-sized u-haul trucks … no way at all to get a semi in there. Thankfully, one of the planners was also in the trucking business. He kicked his concern “upstairs” with a simple question: “How do you plan to feed the daily needs of a 3000 room hotel?”
So what happened?? Did you drop it ?? Did the decking bury itself in the lawn when you put it down , or did you put anything under it on the lawn ??? Those forks would have adjusted further out too!!

don't know if anybody said this but if you are going to use recycled pallets for a crib it is VERY not a good idea. pallets are re-used for multiple items from other lumber to pesticides and other chemicals that can cause respiratory issues or skin rashes if a baby reacts to it or many others. also the fact the pallets are left out in all elements and different fungus and such grows in the wood itself. I run a pre-school and we use alot of natural timber outdoor furniture and some indoor aswell and we cannot use any recycled pallet creations even tho we would love to. you just cannot take the chance. imagine if your pallet you use had dangerous chemicals and they leach into the wood. not good. also why you NEVER should use pallet wood for indoor fires. btw love the channel =)

Yes salsa is amazing. So here's a little cheat sheet for you when you make burritos or tacos instead of cutting up your own onions and peppers and tomatoes just by salsa instead but drain the juice from it it's literally cheaper and more time efficient. Although we have not found any salsa that puts enough cilantro in them so if you're going to make authentic Mexican tacos you have to put fresh lime and fresh cilantro always!

i would be a little concerned about the tread on those eight trailer tires.
We only have one tire out of the set of eight that are running low on tread. Four tires actually just recently got replaced.
