Bonus: If you put the throttle forward, the cruise control mode is still on, but the cc itself is off.

Sometimes on my Ninja 1000 SX, I need to hold the throttle a little bit in order for the cruise control to properly "set in" once I activated it.
What will happen if I don't hold the throttle for 2 seconds after setting the speed I want, is that it will be set for one second, and then just deactivate itself. The green "set" will be there for that second and disappear just after that.
Anyone with the same issue as me?

In the owner's manual (pages 135-139) the cruise control is explained. It states, among other things, that: The system does not open at excessively low rpm...or in 1st and 2nd gear.
