Hey Hyram! The Peach Slices Snail Toner you reviewed, you pulled up their Acne Toner which has the actives you listened. The snail toner IS more of a essence though and I prefer it to the Cosrx for consistency alone (as an esti I don't think snail is a pillar ingredient but a boosting one, which is why the Peach Slices Toner (and mask) are the places I incorporate it) Their formula also includes tigergrass! Yay for calming!
There are likely so many toners on here cause toners are super popular in Korean skincare. They have this routine that’s popular right now called 7 skin, which is where they layer 7 layers of toner to add hydration to the skin and get that “glass skin” look!
The Peach Slices Snail Rescue Toner absolutely does NOT have those ingredients. The ingredients you mention are in the Acne Exfoliating Toner. You were right the first time, it's more a hydrating/soothing essence.
The KAHI Wrinkle Bounce was a staple in K-dramas for a while -- the female lead would pull that out any time she was about to meet her love interest. (Product placement in K-dramas is huge, and often times hilarious. 😂) It has what I consider to be a fairly strong floral scent, so I'm not a fan (I'm sensitive to floral fragrances). But it did make my skin feel really good when I used it!
as a brown skin person the innis free sunscreen is my go to! the scent is barely there and there's no white cast on my skin. id say my only down side is that its only spf 30 but I prefer spf 50 so I like the round labs sunscreen
Well... chemical sunscreens are never suppose to leave any sort of cast in any skin tone. The problem are the mineral ones. If the reason why you use it it's because it doesn't leave a cast... you could use most spf on the market. For a chemical spf that shouldn't truly be something to be surprised about but something you should expect. Brands lie a lot and come out with these ✨magical formulas✨ acting like they went out their way to include non-whites. But it's actually the minimal. Most spf are chemical and also chemical is cheaper than mineral, so if you ever want to find other options it won't be difficult.
I was in Seoul a few weeks back and went crazy skincare shopping! I totally enjoyed watching this video especially since I’m now familiar with all these brands mentioned. Manyo cleansing oil is amazing… that’s what I’ve been using.
As pointed out by others, the Peach Slices toner snail essence toner is more snail mucin extract and centella extract. I am a 50-year-old-plus, and this is one of my favorite toners AND snail essences. It is lighter and not as thick and heavy as the cosrx ones. The Peach Slices exfoliating toner is also wonderful - and inexpensive. It is also much friendlier to my sensitive skin than the Paula's Choice one. As it is also more affordable, I am considering replacing the PC one with this one.
I LOVE the Yuzu mask. It does have a bit of a scent but it's so nice and the scent doesn't last. My skin feels AMAZING the next morning after using it. I highly recommend trying it!
I’m pretty sure you looked up the peach slices acne exfoliating toner, not the blemish busting toner. The blemish busting toner is the snail toner, which is basically snail mucin, HA & a little bit of cica. No exfoliants in there. I personally hate the name because there’s no acne fighting ingredients at all.
Would love to hear your thoughts of the reformulated Laniege cream skin. Especially if you didn’t like the old version, the new one is much lighter, more suitable for oily skin now. As a dry skin babe I’m so upset about it 🥲 but I’m curious if you’d like it !
I had no idea it had changed. I've repurchased several times because I'm really dry too. Do you know how long ago the formula changed? Just hoping the one I'm using now, plus the backup pouch refill may be the heavier version. 🤞
@@crisnemitz1606 I’ve heard its been changed for over a year now, but it just came to the US a month+ ago. It’s under a new name as well; cream skin cerapeptide
@@crisnemitz1606 I have yet to find one that gives that much hydration, I’ve been cherishing an old bottle lol. But similar feels to me are the I’m from rice toner, a bit lighter but still really nice. Or the dr ceracule vegan kombucha tea essence, that one is so amazing i love it ! Better ingredients too. I’ve heard the closest one in terms of texture is the isntree vegan yam root toner, I have no tried that one yet tho.
Let’s look at some Japanese brands next like their sunscreen and Hada Labo premium lotion. Also you should try to anua Heartleaf toner the pyunkang yul toner and the cosrx propolis synergy toner. Also you should do a smash or pass on the serums and ampoules:)
I had a little sample of the belif eye cream and actually really liked the hydration it gave!! It does have fragrance yes but as im not sensitive to that im okay w it :)
The dr cerucle vegan kombucha essence is wayyyy better than the laneige cream skin coming from someone that has used both. I’ll never get anything other than the dr cerucle ever again it’s so amazing 😂
The Dr. Jart camo drops are so much better than the SPF cream! I just add 2 -3 drops to my moisturizer or apply it directly to any specific spots. It's lasted me nearly 2yrs now so the price isn't too bad..
I enjoy watching these smash and pass videos from you! I learn so much about the products! I love how you explain why you smash or pass as also share the ingredients! Very informative! We need more ❤️❤️❤️
I’ve been watching your videos for six years and by listening and learning from your videos my skin has been clear for a while. However I have this one issue that I’m surprised you didn’t have a video one-can you PLEASE do a video on white heads on the chin. I can never get rid of them 😩😩😩
I would love your thoughts on Mary & May’s products. They are so affordable and have solid ingredients lists. I’m trying out their Idebenone serum and impressed so far.
Currently using the innisfree sunscreen and the only reason I got it is cuz it’s winter, the 36 spf isn’t my fave but it doesn’t leave a white cast, and I’m tan, and there’s no fragrance at all. Idk what he was saying lol
well, some of them are korean american or not as popular on the korean market. like glow recipe and beauty of joseon only really started to be seen in olive young (skincare/beauty store) recently. Some of these are ones that are technically korean skincare but are actually more popular abroad than in korea. like the beauty of joseon sunscreen is what a lot of people think of, but the round lab sunscreen is actually a lot more popular in korea.
could you do a review of elf's skin care?? i've seen so many more skincare products from them lately and want to know if they're good bc i LOVE their makeup products
Actually the Saturday skin yuzu mask is incredible in making your skin glow the next day, one of the few products that you can see the difference in one day.
Hyram, your skincare guidance has been a game-changer for me! After 3 years on Isotretinoin (prescribed by my dermatologist), I switched to your recommended products, and my sensitive, combination to oily skin is thriving. No reactions, just incredible results. Thanks for being a blessing and helping me love my reflection again! I love you so much.❤️🫶
I actually use the Cosrx Low pH Good Morning gel facial cleanser it works well for my face . I have normal to combination skin . Hyram what do you think about the Cosrx AHA /BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner and Cosrx OIL - FREE Ultra - Moisturizing Lotion (with Birch Sap ) ? I use both of these products . They don’t give me any bad skin reactions. The moisturising lotion 🧴 actually moisturisers my skin .

hyram I've been watching your videos for years and got my start of skincare passion from you. However, lately I have been struggling with your content as I feel like a lot of reviews of your products revolve around how products work on your skin rather than the ingredients or the potential the product could have on someone with a different skintype as you. Also, I feel like the only critique you have of products lately is fragrence. I completely understand wanting inclusivity for those who cannot tolerate fragrence, but I feel like most people do not fall in that category. I wish you reviewed products independently of their fragrence content so I could learn more about their ingredients and performance as I like fragrence in my skincare products.
