Unlike my Kick Pedals, When it comes to a Hi-hat stand, hey if it doesn't piss me off when I'm playing it, then its good. Got several Hi-hat stands over the years. All work. The Pearl eliminator being my fav. After watching this, I'm on Sweetwater checking out the new Yamaha HHS9D. Like that's going to make me a better drummer. Sure ! 🤪 Cool upload. Thanks
oh ya that definetally looks like the best. sadly I need two high hat stands. lol ruclips.net/video/dV5CWAM0hvY/видео.html and I'm trying to play every musical instrument on the planet.
my opinion: use stock stand, a low-end - midrange stand, or just go lightweight (check out tama classic hi hat stand, it is the only stand anyone should consider buying new imo). Only buy a nice stand if it is used/discounted, or if you want it for aesthetics to have matching footboards. hi hat stands are pretty simple, so don't waste your money with all of the marketing fluff features, as they just cost you money and are more points of failure. I get watching this video for fun, but for the love of god, don't waste your money on a dw 9500 or tama speed cobra 915, or anything similar, especially if you are buying new. save the $200-$300. it is not worth it.
the PDP HH820 feels great to play, its an improvement to the Griffin for sure. but it makes a loud recoil sound of the chain smacking against the pedal when you lift your foot off the pedal. probably EZ to ignore on most kits but a bit too loud for a Tru Touch Practice kit with Zildjian L80 cymbals witch are way quieter than most noise reducing cymbals. probably not recordable. Though the Tru Touch Kit does sound good enough to record if you mic it up right. : )
My favourite at the moment is the Yamaha Crosstown, I have owned the Tama speed cobra and DW5000 and yes they are great, but the simplicity and weight, looks of the Crosstown wins for me: I like the fact that it cannot be adjusted, I prefer not to have the choice because I'm the type of person that constantly tweets, or blames the settings rather myself: With the Crosstown I just get on with it. Thank you for this excellent review. Subscribed
If the Janus hihat/double kick system was still available it would be the ultimate victor 😜 no wait….. I forgot about the Sabian Tripple Hi Hat😋it would reign supreme no contest 🙃
As soon as I saw Sonor Drums I thought this guy knows his stuff and that's only the start of the video. Edit: the stand out for me was the dw where he mentioned chick sound .
No Yamaha stand? Any of their stands are unbeatable at any price. You can’t go wrong with any of them although the cheapest ones are a bit restricted in their versatility. 😎👍
I appreciate the video but we need actual details on each stand to truly objectively compare them. What we got instead is mostly your own subjective experience with these stands
Hey in this video I wanted to share my personal experience and preferences after testing each stand. If you're looking for more detailed technical specs, you can find all that info in the links provided in the description. :)
I STILL HAVE THE " DW 2 LEG 5OOO SERIES HI~HAT STAND " FOR OVER 2O YEARS I GOT IT ABOUT 7 MONTHS BEFORE THE 9OOO SERIES CAME OUT THE BEST PEDAL I FELT AT THE TIME STILL BELIEVE IT'S THE BEST YOU CAN GET AND IT'S STILL STANDING STRONG I DIDN'T REALLY LIKE THE 9OOO IT WAS JUST KIND OF TOO SMOOTH AND WEIRD FOR MY LIKING THE 5OOO HAS A BETTER GIVE FEEL
The best pedal is the DW 5000 series. I still have my original one from 1991. Wouldn't change it for the world. I have a DW 9000 series that I never use. I purchased it out of curiosity. They say curiosity killed the cat. The cat is my wallet 😂

Glad you liked it! And yep the Pearl Eliminator is fantastic

I got my DW5k stand 10 yeas ago and it my permanent accessory. It just does all I need.
Great video!🤘🏻🤘🏻
Great choice! And thanks!

I have a Tama Speed Cobra 310. I'm just a beginner and I don't really have much to compare to but I like it.
Yeah it's great for beginners and intermediate drummers- I found it performed really well!

good comparisons....it helped me decide
Awesome! Glad it was useful for you. Cheers for watching
Pearl Eliminator in the best one here in my opinion
Yeah the eliminator stand really impressed me especially the level of adjustment. Solid option!

Glad you found it helpful, and thanks for the sub!
Love my DW 9000 smooth as butter
Such a good stand!
I use the DW5000 and it is rock solid
Yup, it's awesome 😃
Yamaha HHS9D

Hi, hat!
As soon as I saw Sonor Drums I thought this guy knows his stuff and that's only the start of the video.

Love that! Sonor makes fantastic drums for sure. Hope you found it helpful 👍
Ludwig Atlas Pro 👌

😎👍
I like Yamaha drums and hardware a lot! I'll definitely be looking to feature them in future videos.
How about the Yamaha 850
Yeah I like it, I focused on 2 leg stands for this video though! The latest Yamaha HHS9D direct drive looks killer though.

That's cool - I also know some pro drummers that prefer the 5000 over the 9000!
the professor Neil Peart Rush used it 5000 over the 9000 😅
