Rick, way to pull out the stash of hot licks.
Wow tasty!!! Thank u
Thanks for watching!
These are great turnaround licks !! man you've got great chops and a wonderful sense of rhythm. Loving your lessons. I also love the guitars you're playing I have a couple older ESP Tele and strats that are very nice guitars and fun to play. I wonder if you have changed anything on them ?
Thanks Chris! My ESP"s are stock except a duncan hot rails in the bridge in the tele and a coil tap on it. Also my volume pot allows volume roll off without losing the high end
Rick - these turnarounds are so tasty that I feel like I’m eating a New Jersey Tomato Pie. Thanks.
Haha I've never had one of those so I'll have to take your word for it, thanks!
Me either, but it does sound a bit tasty.
These are great ripps
Thank you!

I like lick #2 has that bb feel to it
yep, a bit of BB in there
Thank you Rick, I just got your 50 Filthy funk licks and can't wait to get started. Please let me know if you ever come to Alaska. I would love to see you perform.
thank Kenneth, enjoy the ebook! Been to Alaska 50 times probably, but playing on the cruise ships.
Wow a fellow Alaskan HELLO
it seems that you hit the string at the second full bend 1:56
and then release the bend, (prebend) it sounds like 4 notes instead of 3 as written in the tab
-----------7/---\7---7p-5
--------------------------------7
3
Really nice, how are you getting your sound
This was thru the Suhr Bella amp, Suhr IR, ep booster and flint reverb
Lick 1 ..no problemo..lick 2 ..ahh getting there..lick 3...workin on it.. 4? 5? Madness dude madness I say!
Haha keep at it man!
how do you like that ESP strat?
Love it!
No backing track?
Lick 1 sounded lick SRV
a little bit yeah
A year after post: Licks 3 and 5 are the SICKEST! Ouch
Thank you, glad you found this after a year :)
Those are pretty greasy! Also like that you identify the notes by name rather than "put your rang fanger on the 2nd strang, 3rd fray-et" like some of your fellow instructors do.
lol, this had me cracking up man
@@TastyGuitarcom I grew up in the South, where the word "left" is a two-syllable word.
if you like soul, funk, blues, you will not find a better teacher than rick, also you will not find a teacher with more resources..
Thanks so much!
@@TastyGuitarcom your quite welcome, I'm about twice your age, Seen and played with some monster players and teachers..I teach myself..but I set aside a part of my practice with trying to learn some "tasty guitar", stuff, its really helped me, even at my advanced age, I always try and learn new stuff..thank you
@@TastyGuitarcom your quite welcome
