    LOL you told those people to f*ck off in the nicest way possible (the ones asking when you are racing again). I love watching your healing journey. I wish more athelets did this! It's a real part of being a professional athlete or an athlete at all! This is where gains are made. Good work!

    Interesting you found the hyperbaric chamber. I'm a scuba diver so come across them occasionally. The one in the north west has some really good case studies of helping burn injuries. As you point out the high oxygen partial pressure seems to promotes healing.
    While you were away: Ryf came back, Kat Mathews was invented and Laura Philips raised her game (Ruth Astle is also coming along nicely). Can't wait to see you back competing, the female section looks very competitive now.

    Thanks for keeping us updated through your journey, it's inspiring and motivating to watch. I had a sacral stress fracture earlier this year and then recently broke my collarbone and tibia in a bike crash, so have been healing alongside your journey lol.

    Maybe I missed it, but will you breathe more to both sides during swim training since you thought that may have contributed to some alignment issues?

      Yes since I’ve been back in the water I’m mostly breathing to both sides. Already feel like I have a better alignment even when walking 🙌🏻

    I can imagine how it felt getting back into cycling. I only took a 3 week break because of covid and felt like a beginner coming back 🙂

    Great to see the recovery process and all the toys you get to play with 😂 so jealous, a quick thought and I'm sure you've had it, but since you stopped riding you have done a load of mobility work and your body has no doubt changed, might be worth getting your bike fit checked again to fit your new flexibility etc.

    Lucy great video. Small suggestion I’ve learned with pizza on the grill. Put the dough in with a little olive oil for 1 min flip and put back in 30. Then. Remove pizza dough, put toppings on and took to your liking. 🤟 -Eric

    Do you analyze your pedal balance on the bike? If not it maybe would help to even the load between the legs.

    Thanks for the update and it sounds like you are making good progress. that hyperbaric chamber looks really cool but there is no way i could stay in that thing. i get claustrophobic being in an mri tube so i'd never survive! LOL!

    Hey lucy! In one of your video you are talking about breathing on one side while swimming how did you manage to balance it out ?! because I will do about about 100M every 3 stroke and after that I just want to go back to 1 side breathing !

    I can just tell with this injury ur going to have an incredible solid base fitness & strength to put the spicy training on top of when the time comes. That “pyramid” will have rock solid, unbeatable foundations!!!!

    Well, I know the future since I watched another video first so I know everything you did, in the end, had a great result, so well done.
    And yes I know you are married and I know you likely would never even notice me in a group so I get all that and life is fine. Having said that I wish I wasn't so lame and messed up. I'm getting older, not old yet but getting older and letting myself get really out of any sort of fitness level. I mean I was walking like an hour a day summer or winter didn't matter but now I walk like so slow and doing a 30-minute walk takes like an hour out and like 2 hours back, and I'm completely burned out. I know smaller shorter and do not get exhausted I imagine are the suggestions, but being so broken means unlike you fitness does not call to me in any way. I mean ages ago I did do a running program that I basically failed at. Yeah we did run 1 walk 1, and I got X distance with the better runners in our group, the downside is I did my weekly three runs and I managed to get slower and slower and never ever made it back to X ever again :( OH well. So I am very impressed by your results.

    Top tip, use wraps as the pizza base. Much easier. Very thin and less filling so you can have more of them…!

    Pizza with refined grain and processed meat. How can that be good for recovery. Do approve your Strava followers
