Thanks. Appreciate you!
Love these direct grill videos
Because of you! I grilled my rib direct heat and it was great! Now I'm gonna do my chicken wings dirrct heat tomorrow , Char griller needs to sponsor you. The fact that you have a weber grill but decided to use the @Char griller is amazing ! Sponsor this man! Asap 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks! Appreciate you!
Good day. I just subscribed, watching from CT. I clean my direct grill the same way, but I wipe my grates with towels after wire brushing with my saved deep fry oil in case some metal bristles break off and then spray it.
Enjoying the bbq videos!!! I could watch all day
Its amazing the amount of homies I have that never heard of chimney starters and thought lighter fluid was the only way lol. They looked at me like it was alien technology when I showed them 😂
Yep! 😂
Lol! I just had show a coworker a picture of one 3 days ago. I asked if he used match lite and he said yeah cause he didn't like squirting the lighter fluid on it. He admitted you can still taste the lighter fluid with the match lite. I gave him what I know which ain't much cause I'm just starting but I'm trying to get better.
Lol I'm a chimney starter ambassador
I learned about it 8 years ago and was amazed
Gotta have at least two on deck !!
The kids tearing it up!!!! All you hear is mmmm mmmm!!!
Im all in bro. Your dropping precious jewels with these videos bro.
Much thanks!. Appreciate you!
Thanks bro for putting me up on game 👍🏾
My pleasure! Appreciate you brother!
I don’t have 8 kids, but I’ve got two teenagers who are both offensive lineman. Haha. They eat eat if you know what I’m saying. Chicken quarters are a blessing. I’m definitely going to try the direct method this weekend. I always do indirect then sear at the end. That chicken looked so good I’ve got to try it. Keep posting my man. Love the content.
Thanks! Appreciate you! Let me know how that chicken turns out.
Salute 🫡 Brother D! You are working your skill set to the fullest and are with an awesome platform! Your loyalty to keep old school flare and tradition with the respect of the art is impressive! Grill on my brother!
Thanks. Appreciate you brother!

Thanks. Appreciate you!
Nice cook bruh! Like the technique.
Thanks for the video
Great video brother I wanna see you do a video with wood chunks with the fire stick starter
The best part to grill is the leg quarters. Great fat to meat ratio and I also have a family of 8 so they’re great for the budget
Outstanding brother. Been learning from you
My pleasure. Appreciate you brother!
I agree ☝️ 100 percent direct method allday saves time especially if you got a family and the taste be on point. Love the videos big dawg 💪🏾
Thanks a bunch! Appreciate you!
@@daddydiysolutions right on homie… I also incorporated that lite soy sauce. For the sprits … mannnn the flavor on point !!!
Everything looks 🔥 bruh. I also like that method firm believer in the chimney starter....the only thing I do differently on my smoker is adding wood under my coals....when the meat turn to the color I'm looking for I then go indirect for the smoking
Great cook!
Respect man. 8 kids wow!! But they’re eating good. I just got a okj long horn fever se flow but I think imma get a grill Ike this just to grill. I have 12 cookers but we need a big grill that’s cheap to get the job done!!
Thanks to you I cooked the best ribs every on the 4th
Awesome! Appreciate you!
Good job bro!!
Thanks. Appreciate you!
great video & those leg quarters looked delicious! thank you for the class on cooking leg quarters!
Thanks. Appreciate you!
Just sub’s my brotha. Keep um coming 💯
Thanks. Appreciate you brother!
Great job dawg.
Thanks. Appreciate you!
Just made it. Sadly, my skin came out rubbery. I sprayed mine with duck fat and I didn’t rub the seasoning into each piece like you did, so next time I’m going to prep and season mine exactly like yours and see if it’s any better. Flavor profile was on point.
This was an easy like.
Appreciate you!
That is perfectly grilled dark meat. It’s much better at 200+ degrees. Texture is perfect. Breasts get dry after 165, but you’re right, that dark meat needs to go to 190-210.
What state are you in sir ??? Shout out to you from Fayetteville NC.
Alabama
@@daddydiysolutions you ever watch the smoking fellas on the series named Bama Q?
i like to mix lowerys and complete into one rub lol
Quick question do you keep the intake vent wide open the entire time?
Yep. Intake open the entire time. I was able to manage the flare-ups with making changes to meat placement and didn’t have to adjust air flow.
Can you put a link up to the chimney starters you use please
Here’s what I’d recommend: amzn.to/3PJc21h
@@daddydiysolutions thank you
how often do you flip your chicken
Grilling leg quarters direct…about 6-8 minutes at first. I’ll let them go a bit longer as coals settle down.
I just wanted to clarify, do I turn the leg quarters every five minutes for approximately an hour and ten minutes?
It depends. You’ve got to mindful of your specific grill and how it cooks and the grill temperature ranges you are able to achieve. Once you do that, you can adjust the total grilling time and time intervals that you flip and rotate accordingly.
Thank you, your videos are cool and calm.
Question can you direct cook a brisket
Yes, you can use a combination of direct and indirect heat to cook a brisket, known as the "reverse sear" method. Start by setting up your grill for indirect cooking, with all the coals on one side, and preheat to 225-250°F. Season the brisket and cook it on the cooler side of the grill until it reaches an internal temperature of 160-170°F, optionally wrapping it in foil or butcher paper to retain moisture. Then, move the brisket over the coals to sear each side for a few minutes to develop a crust, monitoring the internal temperature until it reaches 195-205°F. Finally, let the brisket rest for at least 30 minutes before slicing. Thanks a bunch for the question!
Thanks for the response !!
Hello how are you doing ? great video
Doing great! Thanks. Appreciate you!
If you ever get the chance, try original liquid seasoning by Knorr. You just might put your Soy sauce away😂😂 let me know your thoughts
👍🏾
