Vekoma: Okay lads this is Cedar Point. We miffed on Circuit Breaker and Vertical Velocity, three strikes and we're out... again (TL;DR: this should be a 2026 ride, 2025 seems too early considering the other two)
@@chez_calabresei only liked your comment out of sympathy. alpenfury definitely ain’t better in any way other than having more inversions which is stupid
That’s more of a CP issue than a this ride issue. It’s about the only park in the world where you could build a top 1 or 2 coaster in almost every other park in the world and it becomes questionable if it’s top five at CP. The triad of Maverick, Millie, and SteVe alongside the addition of TT2 just makes the park’s top five completely stupidly good.
Honestly I’m not convinced this will be better than Allen fury. I do like that it has more airtime but alpen fury has some really unique elements that could feel really really cool
Between this and Alpen Fury its hard for me to tell from a glance which one will be better. Siren's Curse has a much more diverse layout but lap bars make a huge difference between coasters
Oh you know the Planco community is going remake the hell out of this ride now that we have a tilt track as an option. I know I am. This is a win for Six Flags 😂
I feel like this is Yukon Striker again - a gimmick driven drop coaster that is the tallest, longest, fastest etc (not that there's anything wrong with that). AlpenFury is a unique, oddball ride with elements that are brand new. So do I think Siren's Curse will be a big attraction and a great addition to CP? Absolutely, and it may get more of the general public excited. Would it be better then a ride shooting out of Wonder Mountain? Nah
My guess is that they DID have plans for that spot, but just not for 2025. However, in early July, after the merger went through and once they started to realize that TT2 wasn't going to re-open, they pivoted and took the original plans to bring this ride to Six Flags Mexico and moved up to CP for next year instead. This is probably the first major attraction introduction that was directly influenced by the Six Flags merger.
I also thought it would be a water ride or something!! 😂 when I saw this, I was like “WHAT!?”. This is exactly why I wanna go to CP though. Seems like the park has so much to offer.
AlpenFury is definitely better and more unique than this ride. Not to say that Siren's Curse will be "mid", but AlpenFury is the least cookie cutter of the rides.
I don’t know if one of three next gen models under construction of a model that only has one operating coaster from more than 20 years ago is exactly cookie cutter in the slightest. It’s a a unique layout of a model with less than five existing even after all the planned ones are built. Neither are cookie cutter. I don’t think can in good faith argue either are cookie cutter.
I could see wonderland eventually getting something like this.. if they removed dragon fyre this would be a good location…. I still thing a wing coaster is next for wonderland and I could see it over in kingswood area, or finally removing time warp
I don't think this was planned. Mainly because when cp announces any new ride they usually announce it in August with merchandise available. For instance, TT2 was announced in August with merchandise available. They had plans to do something with original Dragster. They're not going to take down one of their most popular ride. With Siren's Curse there's no merchandise available as of right now and it was announced in this month (September)
Also, how can they plan by saying "hey this coaster is not going to be purchased by Energylandia then it'll go to SF Mexico then they'll have issues getting a permit so it'll go to us"
I think alpenfury is the better coaster experience 100% When focusing on the layout. Funny cp put 2 coasters that hold you at the top before a 90° type drop right next to each other. Love how intense it looks though.. hope its still good for maintenance
I am a little scared that this will be delayed like Circuit Breaker or Vertical Velocity - I think they should have made the opening 2026 to avoid a second exile)
CP getting a coaster that wasn't actually meant for them is actually triggering to me and I am okay with being an outlier in that opinion. I find tilts extremely over hyped.
Hi amusement insiders! Where would you rank this ride in your most anticipated coasters for next year? Also, I watch every one of your videos for alpenfury and anything else because you make great content!
Yukon striker was supposed to be opened in 2016 at Canadas wonderland. Then cedar point ‘stole’ the ride build slot at b and m and built their drive coaster valravn that year instead and Canadas wonderland had to wait till 2019 to build Yukon instead.
I thought the point was going to get a new flume ride or something. Never would I think they would get a freaking tilt coaster, but here we are. I personally think sirens curse was not a last minute addition and was indeed planned prior to top thrill 2 & wild mouse. Both Siren's Curse and Alpen Fury are great additions for their respective parks and IMO, 2025 is going to be a firery hot (and icy cold) year for the amusement industry. Hopefully TT2 also finally reopens as well.
This lineup is pretty ridiculous if they can get tt2 running. 1. Tt2 2. Sv 3. Millie 4. Maverick 5. Sirens curse 6. Magnum 7. Gatekeeper 8. Raptor 9. Valraven 10. Rougarou Good god.
At least we got KD’s Volcano. This does look cool though. CP embarrassing coaster riches. All this makes me think how having a B&M invert not would have made a huge difference to CW.
CW fans: Canada's Wonderland is by far the most secretive park
Cedar Point: Hold my beer
Circuit Breaker: I'm the first and only tilt coaster in the US
Siren's Curse: Hold my beer lil bro 🍺
Gringotts: "am I a joke to you??"
Vekoma: Okay lads this is Cedar Point. We miffed on Circuit Breaker and Vertical Velocity, three strikes and we're out... again (TL;DR: this should be a 2026 ride, 2025 seems too early considering the other two)
Nice to see you give TPP his flowers for the crazy prediction! I also initially rolled my eyes hahaha.
I don't care much for the tilt gimmick but this layout looks incredible it's packing so much BUT I do think alpen fury stands a good chance against it
Am I the only one that still thinks alpen fury looks way more impressive than this?
yes

Probably about 5th or 6th best in the park 👌

This will be the first Vekoma in the history of Cedar Point.
It's the first new-gen Vekoma in Cedar Point. Woodstock Express is a kids coaster built by Vekoma back in 1999.

Enegerlandia tilt was supposed to be 147.6 ft tall but maybe they made an adjustment?
They might have been measuring the drop while CP is measuring the highest point the tilt track reaches?
Vekoma claims the Cliffhanger tilt coaster model (which this is) has a maximum RPH of 1000
