We are an Independent news outlet. We were founded by 500+ ordinary people who saw a problem with the mainstream media and did something about it. This means we are not solely driven by profit margins or vested interests. We are a platform kept alive by our community who we exist to serve. In a digital age, where the news cycles moves at dizzying speeds, news has become noise.
The Common Sense Network is a platform our readers visit to discover stories that matter. To discover stories from across the political spectrum, local stories, stories that hold power to account, that uncover wrongdoing, that empower the forgotten and the unheard. We are on a mission to build the broadest coalition of diverse commentators in the UK. Our articles are well researched, well written and straight-talking. We remain committed to providing multiple perspectives on issues because we believe, there are two sides to every story....

The podcast is a breath of fresh air, outside the conventional podcast aesthetic. Well done. I have subscribed, hit the thumbs up button, and am now engaging. Indeed, well done. In addition to the great POV Rory Sutherland offers across the field of behavioural economics, I also liked your hosting abilities.

Your interruption at around 11 minutes felt quite unpleasant. Perhaps if you had a timer in the corner going "Interruption in 5, 4, 3, 2..." it would have felt less jarring. I've subscribed anyway ;)

I didn't, and might have but for the interruptions. Don't beg me for what I might have given freely.

overall nice interview but wrong about taxes. youth should be taught early that taxes are a necessity unless they dont use roads, police and hospital unless they are older. its expected from an advertising executive they are notorious for squeezing the last cent off your salary. lets not spoil our kids you cant learn to pay taxes at 30years

i think most people could figure out taxes are a necessity, and considering its automatically deducted, I don't think it would be that hard to implement.

University students don’t pay council tax. If young people are paying for things out of their own pocket, they value them more.

But they use all those things less, which still favours his point of less of a tax burden
