This one podcast episode has single handedly re-discovered what meaning of providing intelligible, useful, practical, and thought provoking insights on marketing, branding and business than any one’s whole podcast/channel/body of work drops in a year or at all. Congrats sir you have re earthed the meaning of providing unquestionable value vs providing meaningless unasked for political/social views and tired regurgitated positivity messages like all other “business channels” do nowadays. You cannot get this experience without absorbing it from extremely talented individuals, with the right experience and who are willing to share their knowledge. You making the effort to find these people and share their insights is fantastic.

RS’s USP is he has the best ideas and can sell them to you in short and snappy sentences in that wonderful voice so reminiscent of the radio DJ Tony Blackburn. We all as a nation grew up with that man’s voice in our ears and 🧠 it’s so comforting and reassuring. You’d buy anything off this human.

I’m having strong reactions (enough to make a comment) about this man. I have seen 2 interviews with him this week. I can see why younger generations of people interested in advertising and marketing think he’s a genius. He’s got good stories and what we could call “The Knowledge” as it applies to his business. However, I think his brand of quirky, razz-matzah showmanship is what his secret sauce is. I’m 62 and grew up with a father who was a very successful businessman in NYC and NJ advertising. He told me some of these exact same stories when I was in high school, almost 50 years ago! The cake mix needing the egg is a classic (and was already a classic when my father told me). I’m surprised he didn’t bring up the fact that even with the lovely, sweet and minty flavor of Scope mouthwash, it is just as effective at killing bad breath germs as the horrid, tongue-burning Listerine, but consumers FEEL like it can’t work as well because it doesn’t burn your mouth. The thing that I find truly disturbing about him is his pride in supposedly getting regulations for vape cigarettes to be kept more minimal. In the other podcast I saw, he came right out and said it was the thing he was most proud of in his career. He said this to Ali Abdul who, as I’m sure you know, is a doctor! Even more egregious, he claimed that he didn’t know why America had come down on Juul. THERE IS NO WAY that he doesn’t know why! He must not be as proud as he claims given that, as we all know, Juul and other vape brands were targeting their marketing to children and teenagers with candy flavors. They were luring kids into a habit that is dangerous and destructive. A habit that he himself cannot seem to control for the length of your interview. It seems obvious to me that he knows that at least some portion of what he says and does is a con, since he raised the question in your interview. Perhaps the most telling thing that came out of his mouth is something most people probably didn’t notice. He mentioned, “He met me …” Have you ever referred to meeting someone in this way? Very few people (perhaps only narcissists) would refer to the situation in that manner. I’m sure YOU would say, “When I met…” or possibly, When we met…” But saying “when he met me…” was very revealing. I’m sure, as he mentioned himself, that he is great at connecting people in his “Rolodex.” And having been in the business myself, I would bet he is an A+ pitch thrower. I find him clever in how he crafts what he says to toss aside the criticisms he knows he might get with preemptive strikes, but at some point, the answer to his question does become, “Yes, it’s a con.” That all said, a lot of great wisdom that has been around for literally generations is highly valuable for new people to hear.

The market trend can turn around very quickly. In fact, the indexes often switch from a bear market to a bull market when the news is at its worst and the mood of investors is at its lowest point. I read an article of people that grossed profits up to $150k during this crash, what are the best stocks to buy now or put on a watchlist?

In particular, amid inflation, investors should exercise caution when it comes to their exposure and new purchases. It is only feasible to get such high yields during a recession with the guidance of a qualified specialist or reliable counsel.

True, initially I wasn't quite impressed with my gains, opposed to my previous performances, I was doing so badly, figured I needed to diverssify into better assets, I touched base with a portfolio-advisor and that same year, I pulled a net gain of 550k...that's like 7times more than I average on my own.

My thoughts on Vinyl. I am 29, and I remember not having the internet. For me, records slow things down, I consume music more thoughtfully and I listen to the entire album. The instant access to everything online takes away something, in lessons the value somehow. Much like the analogy of adding an egg, getting the vinyl out of its case and placing it on the record player adds a layer on effort to the experience. It's also nice to just own something you have chosen, spotify feels empty and could vanish tomorrow.

I gotta say, these dialects of English make this video so much more enjoyable. It's interesting, because there are distinct differences possibly due to régionalisms, age, cultural background, ethnicity... so much that imprints language upon a person. And being a fan of linguistics, this is nothing short of intriguing.
