In this video I share some tips on things I do every month to help maintain my motor, boat, and trailer. Doing these simple things can save you thousands of dollars over time!
I have crack two of the plastic caps on the bearings. Have changed to the billit aluminum ones. Cheep and they don't crack. But i do use a rag to cover them when i use a channel locking pliers as to not scratch up the color thats anodized coating.
really been enjoying these videos i dont know about most viewers but i like just watching you fish. i am 59 and an not the best with the electronics side of things, although i do catch a lot of nice fish here in the louisville kenucky area. man when i get a new helix unit and live scope i would like to book a trip with you to help me set things up. as of now i just have a bird 898 and a first gen helix, ready to make the jump. keep up the good work jacob
Thanks!! Sure beats paying a boat mechanic $90 an hour to do the same thing...and for some reason, it always takes them at least 2-3 hours to do this same thing!!!
Hey Jacob, you may want to contact a Mercury shop and see if they recommend using a filter wrench to tighten your oil filter. Usually oil filters are just hand tightened. But it might be different on those Mercury's.
I would be too! Based on his “begging” video, Id bet he paid for the Nitro. They are the worst of all the boats you see on the pro circuit. Im basing that off my opinion of my 18’ Tracker. Worse decision I have ever made.
I'm glad I came across this. Shoot...I would have put the hose on before I broke it loose and might have messed something up. 🤣
Thanks J.....i was just thinking about watching a how to video on this very thing when yours popped up in my feed.
