  • In this video I give up some livescope juice. Ive got some really unique footage of fish reacting to my bait on the screen. I had a bunch of good footage that got lost but still some really cool stuff!

I subscribed to your channel after your rant about sponsors and the industry. I e been bass fishing over 35yrs and i love the gps mapping and sonar's of today. But watching this makes me realize how reliant pro's and many other are so reliant on ffs. I personally think it does not belong in tournament fishing. I have used it and completely understand the benefits of it. But now I am currently not using it going old school because I am not a tournament fisherman. I believe once you know how to use it it puts most people on a level playing field. Which sucks to me I growing up idolized Rick Clunn, Gary Klein, David fritz etc. guys like that have very special fish finding abilities now it seems everybody has those and I know for a fact cuz I have had it and used it that it totally totally helps catch fish I never caught in my lakes before. It's such a beneficial tool for guides but we should really keep it real and not tournament fishing. But I think a lot of guys are in a big cloud of smoke who can't quite admit that it can make a lot of us just the same We all know how to cast well and operate our boats etc but now it's just basically computer fishing. Respect I'm glad you have found your niche on RUclips but if it's all mostly forward-facing sonar stuff I probably won't be watching a whole lot of it.

Jacob, This was great, especially showing the screen of the Live Scope. Showing the basic setup, with how simple it was for us, technically challenged.
Do a boat walk around of your 2024 setup, storage, mounts, placement, accessories, etc. with why you like it...
    Thanks for sharing 🍺 🎣

All I see is blue and dots going in and out lol tat thing will give me a headache 😂🤣 I just want a down image and side scan. Cool to watch though, for me sitting and watching if a fish will bite takes the fun of finishing. I love running over areas looking for bush piles or structure under the water with my 2D and fish it , it’s the hunt that’s awesome. Finding stuff under water and pulling a fish off or out of it using 2D is so much fun. Makes a good challenge. I like the clearer look with down image and side scan. One day I’ll be able to afford it lol .

FFS is just like all other technologies, eliminates the need for experience and skill. I have never fished a tournament, but don't think FFS should be allowed in tournament fishing. Who can't run a shoreline, see the fish, structure, fish depth and not have an advantage? Seems like all is needed to be a professional bass angler now is sponsor contacts which previously came with skill, now only comes with social media sub count. All about the money, not the skill and dedication.

@@jacobfoutzfishing - Really? Technology is making people lazy. All of you tournament guys fish for the next 5 years with the latest and greatest electronics, many will lose what edge they have on reading conditions because they will start relying on their video game fishing. Then do 1 season with traditional sonar and see the difference.
Many of you will feel different when young dudes with just a few years experience comes along with the best electronics and can compete with the pro's.

I feel sorry for the modern day fisherman -- The primitive joy in finding and catching fish using your senses is lost with live FFS ... knock yourself out guys but to me it's just as ridiculous as "hunters" feeding deer for weeks then shooting them from a warm blind in between sips of latte'. Unplug, buy a map and use your brain/senses -- you'll get more out of it.

Figured you would take it personally and wouldn't get it--just a valid opinion many have about FFS. If you "feel like you're cheating" then you basically made my point for me. It's a personal choice to make fishing a video game and I choose not to. Good luck with it.

As much as it can be fun.....this is not a video game....its unprofessional and not real fishing....its one thing find the cover and structure....and maybe see a fish....but to be to change your baits and cadence based on seeing the sonar image its like using cameras.....as professionals I would even entertain amatuers not seeing the fish is part of the experience!

I don't see a problem if people practice catch and release (which is not a law). Now....if people want competitive fishing to continue being considered a sport they gotta change something. Once angler's know every cast is at a fish and can see the fish ineract and eat the lure it begins to resemble a videogame... I would prefer competitive gaming and fishing stay separate. All they need is a robot to cast and drive the boat
