Yeah! I just recently bought the soda stream that uses glass bottles and it uses the blue canister!
I got the adapter with the pressure gauge and the bleeder valve - I REALLY like the pressure gauge so I can make sure that my connections aren't leaking - just turn off the canister and see if the pressure goes down overnight. If the pressure stays the same, I can leave the tank on, otherwise you have to turn off the gas every time you use it.

Thanks so much for this one! We got ours on Prime day and even ordered the pressure gage with the bleeder valve. Karen was I believe skeptical but was sold once she'd had a few. I even ended up finding a local supply co. that could refill the 5lb tanks so we have two of them as well. Soooooo Great! We stopped drinking soda back in I think 2005 and Topo Chico was getting expensive when I couldn't find it at the Amish surplus stores near us.

I had heard of converting your machine, but I thought it would be way more complicated. Thanks for showing how to do this. BTW, I've been getting 62-67 liters out of my canisters, so I'm pretty happy with mine.
I have an older co2 food grade can 50lbs the fire and safety place said I now need a recertification before I refill it. It has a gadge on it as well.

I'm definitely going to try this. I'll bet homemade sparkling water tastes so much better than the regular large cases of water in plastic bottles I've been buying at the supermarket. Plus, I might actually try adding some of the flavors - maybe Cola, lemon lime or even root beer.

It WILL save us a LOT of money!!!! Right now I do an Amazon Subscribe and Save for Sparkling Ice Carbonated water/strawberry kiwi flavor!!! I buy enough to last a month at a time, but even that is about $50 a month!!! OUCH!!! The hardest part will be trying to find the GOOD flavors to add to our water for the times we want a flavor!!!! I cannot WAIT to get one of these!!!!! And this video makes it EASY to find!!! Again, thank you DEARLY!!!!

I like my water highly carbonated. I have a Soda Stream (blue cylinder) but have been buying Topo Chico. When I use the soda stream and add True Lime and Keto Chow Daily Minerals all the carbonation with the Soda Stream disintegrates. But I don't have that problem with Topo Chico. So do you add anything to your Soda Stream water and are you having the same issue with carbonation disintegrating or does this new process with the tank work better for making highly carbonated water. I want to save the money but I also want to add True Lime and Daily Minerals to my carbonated water.
Yeah I have a older soda stream. I love it,. My husband likes the flavored Seltzer but not the flavored drops of soda stream. I guess maybe if they had black cherry. I really cant taste that much difference if any. They might smell like a flavor but I dont taste any. Any suggestions for a flavor. Oh my the way Rachel you can do anything...I know Joe is joking. Does this have a cyphon tube in the c02 tank and does it need one
No
The only reason to use a syphon tube in a CO2 cylinder is if you need the liquid CO2. You don't want to use liquid CO2 in a sodastream, it will probably explode as the liquid flashes back to a gas (expanding roughly 300 times in volume) inside your soda bottle.

Could you add like LMNT or one of the other electrolyte mixes to water before making it fizzy? Or you have to use plain water to start?
You add any flavorings after. Otherwise it overflows when you carbonate it

I have mine hooked up to a 20lb. tank and the tank rests under the counter. There is no leakage and no pressure issues. The 20lb. tank lasts us about a year and only costs $28 to fill it up at a welding supply outlet. "Food grade cO2" is something of a myth, according to every cO2 vendor I have spoken to.
that is correct. It more comes down to the cleanliness of the facility and if they are taking care of their tanks.
We did it yesterday question Hoe how do I stop my carbonated water from erupting all over when I add Electrolite or Redmonds salt . A si like to just use salt and true lemon pkg HELP ????
You have to add it and then quickly put a cap on and let it settle for a few minutes

I think there are rules in place that state that a compressed gas cylinder may be dangerous to fill or something if you do not have proper training to do it properly as i said before the gas could cause frostbite or suffocation if a mistake was made so I think the way they reduce lawsuits is to say only have the thing filled by people who know how to do it properly!!!

Yes I live MD unforutunately there are reason I will not explain that not relavent to this conversation buying it new cost 30.00 but I find that if you find a place that exchanges your used soda stream they charge you the exchnage price of 15.00 I bring mine to safe way my old cylinder I get the exhnage price of 15.00 !!! I dont' know why you are paying 30.00 for cylinder when you exchange an empty for new cylinder the exchnage price is 15.00
r also chemically soda is not carbonated with co it carbonated with co2 there are important chemical differences as an example did you know a fire extinguisher could be filled with co2 to put out a fire while it would be dangerous to attempt to put out a fire with co?? ( I think under some conditions and properties co would make a dangerous chemical to put in a fire extinguisher !!! ) co2 is safe in fire extinguishers if the unit is properly desgined!!!

Co2 can be gotten at a welding supply house. They just rent the bottles. A 5 lb bottle is 20 bucks. Co2 is co2 food grade is not a real thing.

We use Fee Brothers Bitter’s they aren’t bitter just add flavor. Buy on Amazon or where mixer’s are sold. I add stevia glycerite for a little sweeter drink.
